I like that Ray used an electric violin for a non-classical performance. Seems appropriate for an eclectic program. Definitely not a place for his Stradivarius. Using a Stradivarius violin at this performance would be the very definition of sacrilegious. An entertaining performance by both artists.
if you read the description it says the reason he used an electric violin was because the weather, he planned on using his strad, but the weather made it a problem so instead he used this electric volin.
I personally like this performance of him using an electric violin. He’s having fun with it. I’m not against any modern instruments. Whether he’s using his precious Strad or electric Yamaha (in this particular video), he’s still the amazing Ray Chen. Bravo! ❤️
