    Very informative. I'm in the midst of a budget boat build, and planning to add a camera just to document and review my time on the water.
    Like the center back camera idea from the use of the broken Go-Pro mount.

      I also use a single angle currently, and when fishing from the boat, I have the camera rear center mount like Mike shows here. Love that angle if you only get 1 shot! I also fish from a kayak and run a similar angle there, rear center looking over the top of my head.

      @@jflesh.bassin4948 yea, I think that's the way I'm gonna go.

      It's a broken Powerpole spike that fits perfectally into the Ranger seat post.

      @@WorkingClassZeroFishing OH! Now I got it! I missed that.
      Still, none the less, I can definitely fabricate a pole mount in a similar fashion for that particular shot.
      Mike, I appreciate your time and effort you put out in your content. Thanks.

    I’m excited to see footage from the GoPro max. I have been thinking about adding one to the boat.

    I’m running the GoPro on a YoloTech pole and Sony remote lavalier mic. Remote mic works great as you aren’t normally facing the camera

      That Lav Mic is catching just your audio?

    Have you experimented with recording in loop mode? I usually do that and have it set to five minute intervals so when I catch a fish, do what I need to do and release, I hit the record buttons on all my camera's it will save the previous 5 minutes of footage. Otherwise you can fish all day, and it will just continually overwrite its footage until you tell the camera you want to save the previous 5 minutes. Super helpful for getting the most milage out of your memory card space throughout the day.

      I likewise use loop mode and it's great for the reasons you stated. The only thing is that the pro-tune settings are not available when in loop recording mode, at least not for the hero 5. Are you running a newer Gopro? If so do you have that same issue?

    • @WorkingClassZeroFishing
      @WorkingClassZeroFishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I dont use the loop because there are things that I will keep from time to time that I didnt plan on. Overwriting removes that option. If you have a large enough card you can get about 5 hours of continuous recording.

    Great video Mike. Can you tell me what mount or bracket you use to attach the camera case to the broken Power pole rod, rear center? As always, thanks for sharing more great content, Brother!

    I just started using a Insta360 OneX2. Love that I can get everything. Only drawback is that the files are really large. Also do you take you mic off when you are running from spot to spot. I take mine off. I am always afraid it will fly off when running around.

    You must have a ton of patience. I posted over 1.5K of videos using just one camera . I edited myself. (All my videos are hidden now BC I hate them hijacking my channel to put ads on my work) and there's days that editing takes more time than the shooting.
    ¿Maybe you take notes of the times of day when you catch something so it's easier to find that footage. I'd likely go even "more" nuts trying to blend a video from 4 cameras. My hat's tipped to you.
