    Great review, couldn't agree more! 2 years later my SC3 still works like new and the continuous water fill tank makes a BIG difference. I would never go back to a steamer without this feature now.

    Thanks for your review. Im looking into general steam cleaners as well as specific steam/vacuum/mop cleaners and its so hard to find reviews on karcher especially in comparison to other brands. So thanks for reviewing karcher! (I was looking for a steam vacuum cleaner sv7 but cant find any reviews for it 🙃)

The rated psi and heat temperature so the pressure of the steam coming out along with the temperature of the steam the more power and the more heat the better in my line of work can I get a straight forward answer please? @RichManPoorTech  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Tough, it depends on your usage, if your a home user i would go sc5, but if your a commercial cleaner the i would go with the commercial unit, as with there pressure washers they are made at a higher standard for commercial use, this wont show up as a weekend warrior but when using day in day out, week on week then the commercial units have a longer life which you only see the benefits for the cost when using in this manner

    Tough to know what to buy. I read comments on Reddit that the quality of Karcher is not the same now that they are made in China. Also that the SC3 is well known for breaking down. Do you have any thoughts on this and on the Polti and McCulloch cleaners? Thanks

    • @RichManPoorTech
      @RichManPoorTech  2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      i haven't used polti or McCulloch, so i cant comment on those, i have had my SC3 for approximately 8-10 years and its still working fine,
      I do think that the quality of Chinese built machines whichever make wasn't / isn't as good as european or Japanese built machine however, if being built for a European company the quality control is higher than if it is a generic brand, for example take look at the apple iphone, all Chinese components, and its high quality for a phone, but if you purchase a spare generic part, they usually have failed apples quality control, have now been sold on the open market and are sub standard, most machines though-out the world even if assembled in the US or Europe are filled with Chinese made parts, its hard to avoid

    does sc5 do the job with bed bugs? alternatives from karcher to kill bed bugs? thanks

    • @RichManPoorTech

      I have no idea but I googled it and found this
      "Both adult bed bugs and bed bug eggs will die within minutes at 122°F (50°C). Steam forms from water at 212°F (100°C), so it's already way over the killing point required to exterminate bed bugs immediately"
      I hope this helps

    • @acanaldelbuencontenido
      @acanaldelbuencontenido ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@RichManPoorTech thanks for your anwser. There are other steam cleaners in the market that are focused on killing bed bugs with dried steam and temperatures around 180ºC.
      I am not an expert in bed bugs, maybe 100ºC could be enough if heat can go through the fabric to some extent.
      Maybe I will try with SC5 if I bought one. I do not know if I have bed bugs but it is always good to have different means of dealing with some insects regardless of their type.

      @@RichManPoorTech there is a 20% discount in kaercher until 14 November. Would you buy sc4 or sc5? The fact of more pressure is appealing to me, but the difference in price is almost 200€.
      What do you think of this combo to clean mattresses: WD (as vacuum cleaner) + SC4/5 + SE 5.100? Am i better off having 3 independent units rather than a WD+SV7 for example?
      Does steam cleaner leave the mattress so wet after using on it?
      Using steam cleaners to clean mattresses is not recommended by support centre (they insist on using SE 5.100 or 4002) but how could i sanitize the mattress without steam?...

      hardness level of 5 dH, one cartridge will last you around 75 hours.

      for car interiors I have used both the sc2 and sc3, being a sledge version the Handel is small and easy to move around the interior the sc3 with constant steaming makes life a lot easier than the sc2, I’ve not used the sc1 but owing to how I have used mine i would presume it would run out of steam quickly, you use a lot of steam clean seats and carpets in the car. A word of warning that things like switches and indicators have painted markings, and if you are to long on those then the markings will come off also head lungs are usually glued in place so use with caution there as well
