To be fair Sega and Nintendo both deserved it. At the time they both thought they were invincible. From broken sword, tomb raider, metal gear solid, final fantasy and crash bandicoot. The ps1 had it all and I'll never forget the fond memories I have of this system. Now I'm sitting here with the ps5 enjoying some gran turismo 7.

After their expeeience with making mostly FMV games on the Sega CD and after the betrayal by Nintendo, Sony and Sega almost came together, with Sega of Japan killing the deal. The actual story is quite long and detailed, you'd imagine this channel would do its homework regarding this chaotic wildwest of gaming history.
I sometimes look at people's comments and you are so opionated . I personally dislike Sony and think there ps1 console is trash. Owning one from the release date I still think it sucks and dont say anything about the game library. The fact is PC gaming is way better at most of what consoles can do even now.

I'll never forget when I lost my memory card. I lost so much game progress that I was pissed for weeks. Thank God those are no longer necessary.

There was no true gaming on pc’s then. Pentium 1 was barely mainstream meaning most people were still playing Pac-Man or snake on their 486’s
