That is the stock servo that comes on the DriftStar, you would want to get a servo that's really responsive for drifting.
I haven't had the chance to run my 1/8 Exceed Mad beast. And when I tried to to run it, it doesn't want to go forward nor reverse. I tried to reset the ESC by pressing Set key and run through three modes. After that I only made it go forward with brake but no reverse. And I tried looking for the answer on internet and then I stumbled across you channel where I actually purchased the rc truck. I followed the steps from the video and it did work ^^ I bought my rc last year in September and I am very careful with it try not to break anything including internal parts and electronics. Thanks for this video it did help me a lot fixing my 1/8 Exceed Mad Beast :)

In the video we used this battery 77P-SL5000-2S1P-30C-2222-HardCase.
Right by the on off switch there should be a button, hold down the button and then turn on the car and it will make a couple beeps, then the light on the ESC will flash. That means it's in the programming menu.
please can I bind ansmann W5 2.4ghz transmitter with flysky receiver 2.4ghz also ???

You can use that battery with that system, just make sure to program the ESC to nimh and it'll work fine.

@Brian Lim Check your throttle trim, do you have a brushed or brushless model? Most of the brushed ESCs will not be programmable. If you have a brushed model then that is why it doesn't have the red programming button.

If you have your electronics in the same orientation as the vehicle in the video then it's your ESC that failed. You will have to purchase a replacement ESC for the vehicle.

When the receiver flashes it means that it's not bound tot he transmitter.
Hey Liz, that airplane that might be for a giveaway would really help my hobby for rc airplanes and helicoptors.
Get a programming card to program the ESC, I think that you might have it set at the wrong menu that is why it's not working correctly.
Do you mean the front wheels spin or do you mean there turn left or right? To access the programming on the ESC you have to hold down the set key and then turn on the ESC. When it's on and you press the button nothing will happen.

Just letting you know you can make it if your going full throttle then reverse it doesn't go reverse instantly
Do you have the brushless or brushed version? The brushed version isn't programmable so that is why it doesn't have the red button. Some of the brushless ESC has the program button by the on off switch.

Need help I have the Exceed 1/8th scale Mad Drift Rc & has everything factory other than the battery was running fine but now when I go to drive it and press the trigger on the controller the esc has a solid red light no green light but flashes green 3 times when turned on and steering is fine and still drives but the esc light is red if trying to accelerate

Okay , we were at running mode .
But how I can move to the other programming? Like if I want to move to “drag brake force” , and then when I finish I want to move to “low voltage cutoff”, and that so....... how can I know that I’m moving? To other program?
How do you remove the motor on that brushless car because, my Brushless has a big wire in in and i dont know how to remove it

Can you do a programming on a Quark 33 Pro car? I know it's kind of old but it's a great esc, I can't figure out how to do reverse.
as well.Can setting 1 harm your motor? because it stops immediately. The wheel wobble is from the left front wheel and the right back wheel-front is worst. And also when i try to go running mde it does not work. it only has 2 beep 1 and 2. and the one beep does nothing like 2

HELP. I have a brand new driftstar with brushless setup and the running mode programming wont work. I have a wheel wobble as well. My problem is it changed to setting 1 for no reason than 3 then 1. I paid 200 for this car and i want it to work well. I am new to drifting

The ESC that comes with the brushed model isn't programmable so no you cannot.

Ok my model is a brushless and where my ESC stops behaving is after menu one is selected and I hold it down again to select the setting I do not get the red light for choosing my setting and as stated in another video my issue is the Speed for forward and reverse are mixed even though the car does go forward and reverse via the correct throttle function the speed mix up is the only issue I notice

Hi Nitrorcx!! i have just got hsp pro brushless with 3200mah battery,, but when i try charge the vant 5200 with the charger supplied all 3 green led light up, so i put it in my car, had constant beeping and no motor power,, do i need programme the esc for diffrent batteries?? any advise would be great before i spend any more money,, Thanks.
You don't need to programme the esc for different batteries, you just put them in and go. You should:
1st: make sure your esc can handle the voltage of the battery (for example don't use a 4S Lipo with a 7.4V max esc etc. ) if it can not, you have probably already killed it, go to *3rd.*
2nd: Your motor could be dead. You can check this by plugging the battery itself into the motor connectors (do that with brushed motors only!!!) and see if the motor turns or not. Be careful though, doing this *will* mean the motor will try to run at full throttle! If it doesn't run at all, or it runs really slow, it's dead.
3rd: You may have fried your esc (wrong battery, submerged in water, etc.). Buy a new one.
4th: Make sure your battery is okay. Charge it completely and see what voltage it has. 2S LiPos should have 8.4V completely charged, a 3S should have 12.6V, a 4S 16.8V, etc.

Sakamoto .. thanks! but sorted long ago and it was a dud battery that Nitrotek UK sold me and won't answer emails! I got a Sky imax b6 charger and have 6 different lipo and Nihm packs now! thanks anyway! and figured out the esc settings weeks ago! 😊

I have an issue with my iron spatha i bought from nitrorcx. When i turn on my rc and turn on my transmitter it stays there right? Of course, but when i turn off my transmitter before turning of my rc my rc accelerates which didnt happen when i just got my rc. What is the problem? Is it the esc or servo? I dont know im new to this hobby so if anyone could help me i would appreciate it. Thanks!
Oh and i also have another problem which is the trim on my rc when i put the trim to neutral on my transmitter the two front wheels go left. Why is that and how can i fix it? Please help and once again thanks.
***** Always turn off the RC first before you turn off the transmitter, if you turn off the transmitter the vehicle can receive signal from elsewhere and cause it to move on it's own. As for the trim being centered and the wheels pointing to the left you can removed the servo horn and then reattached it to the servo to make the wheels point straight.

I have a issue with that lil white piece where the light flashes green and red to program the car,after like ten minutes of driving the car stop it wont go but tne wheels will turn, and that program box just flashes red but the fan thing on top of that is running do u know what that means
Do you have the brushless model? If you do check the low voltage setting of the ESC. If you're using the stock NIMH battery disable the low voltage cut off setting on the ESC.

By controller do you mean the hand held controller aka transmitter? If the lights on the stock transmitter is flashing that means the batteries in the transmitter is low voltage.

On older transmitters there should be two switches on the bottom. Channel 1 is for steering, Channel 2 for throttle/reverse. Flip the switch that says "Channel 1". Or check if you have your motor plugged in backwards.
