I’ve been binging Um Actually for the last two weeks but this was, um, revelatory. Going to watch the next episode with a slightly different appreciation.
I love the different styles they have going. Jess is light-hearted and kind of goofy in an endearing way, Trapp is trying possibly a little *too* hard but you can't question the results and with Grant, you pretty much have to question the results as they range from barely comprehensible to genuinely disturbing.
It's always great seeing Trapp on Game Changer! He doesn't really get to flex his improv skills on Um Actually, but he's really funny and quick with the punch lines!
Grant shotgunning, Trapp reserving his answers for ones he know will hit, but answering more to compete with Grant, and Jess absolutely killing every single one. This was a great crew for this episode!
I love this episode because while Grant is charming, and Trapp is knocking solid doubles at a minimum on every round, Jess is a goddamn comedy ninja in this.
His bit about cars a little broken and then going "I can fix it" is far more true than he might realize including all his friends going "No you can't!"

There are like three or four members of CH that are just *raw chaos*. You can't have more than one MAYBE two of them on a single episode of Game Changer because they're so potent. Jess is one of those members. 😂
"Capable of time travel," is such a brilliant deep cut, and surprisingly wholesome, because obviously the time-traveling DeLorean is a cultural icon, but also "The Time Traveler's Wife" is both remarkably competent as a time travel story, but also just a really fucking good romance story, and I can see a very easy connection being made between the two.

"Capable of time travel," is such a brilliant deep cut, and surprisingly wholesome, because obviously the time-traveling DeLorean is a cultural icon, but also "The Time Traveler's Wife" is both remarkably competent as a time travel story, but also just a really fucking good romance story, and I can see a very easy connection being made between the two.
