I'm a galar baby so my first game was shield and my first Pokémon was sobble which i didn't name but still have
great video great animation cant rlly expect it from a small animator i don't remember rlly anything abt my first playthrough of a Pokémon game but now i have like 3-4 boxes of shiny Pokémon just in 1 game shinys are different color rare variants of Pokémon around a 1/4096 chance in the recent games and a 1/8192 in the older ones gen 4 and below you've earned my sub :)
In all my travels I have encountered a shinny once. Well twice if we count Red Gyarados.

This reminds me of a similar thing that happened to me recently:
so my old Switch (like one of the model 1 switches) do to some complications stoped working like I couldn't even get it to boot up into maintenance mode so I had to mail it to a repair center and I even wrote a note basically asking them to do what they could because I had WELL over 1000 hours in Pokemon between like 3 different games with a good few special distribution Pokemon and some I had transferred all the way up to that point including a Victini I named Vic that I bought all the way from generation 5 (Black/White games) and he had been with me through it all clear through the transition from 2D to 3D but sadly they couldn't save the Pokemon save data and sent back a replacement switch so I lost EVERYTHING in all my Pokemon games since they where the only games in my library that don't support cloud backups so Vic is gone for good and it still stings a little, I will NEVER be able to get him or any of the other distribution Pokemon back, sure I could probably get another Victini eventually but it won't be Vic it just won't have the same weight or impact ya know.

My first Pokémon game was Heart Gold and I named my Totodile Toto (too-too). So you naming bulbasaur bubu hits home 😭 also when I asked my older brother for help he’d call me a gay slur and tell me to do it myself.
Damn, great minds think alike (at least when it comes to naming convention), Totodile was also my pick for Heart Gold. Too bad that your brother didn't want to help out though.
I know how you feel. I lost a friend who loved Pokémon. I don't know if he followed his text promise, but I never heard from him afterward, and I missed him despite how we separated.

The first pokemon game I ever played was Pokemon Brick Bronze a pokemon fangame on roblox and my first pokemon was a Charmander I named Fuego
interesting choice for a start. Hopefully Fuego had a very firey spirit.
@@NoahStorys1 Oh fuego had a fiery spirit alright because the first gym of pokemon brick bronze was an electric type gym but fuego handled it with ease and once he learned dragon rage after evolving into charmeleon he just crushed the first gym leader's pokemon with dragon rage.

@@NoahStorys1 I know. After the first gym, I decided to catch a Pidgey and Mareep because the third gym uses water types and Pidgey because Charizard's flying type move pull is worser than Pidegeots.

I dont know what to tell you, I remember it doing that and I just to confirm I went onto the interwebs, finding 1 person that had the same experience. I do think it depends on which version of the game you had, like if you got it early enough. I dont know

In some regions, the Game had a programming glitch that behaved as if The CUT move had been obtained, even if it hadnt... due to the localization being half-assed, honestly, and only in the First Run of The release... pretty much everywhere outside the US, Canada, England, And Japan had a chance of getting a copy with the error, as the localizers changed one extra line of code. It was the main reason for later games being programmed with multiple language options from the start, A practice that began on the ds, though in that case language would be selected by region code on the system... and now, you choose at the start.
It's a rough error, though... made that section nearly unplayable, as you can't leave to heal.
Thank you for this information, now I can firmly say my memories weren't a lie.
