Stinkin’ Rich is one of those games that you can find at almost every casino: it’s a classic game with a classic theme, and Bombay is a lesser-known clone which I scored a great Jackpot on! What you may not know is that certain versions of the game give you the ability to select the number of lines you can play and that allows you to play the game in an interesting way!
The Keys to Riches Bonus is initiated by landing bonus symbols on reels 1, 2 and 3 although they must be on a pay line. As this game is generally configured with 100 lines, what’s important to note is that you are awarded 5 free spins for each line that your bonus symbols land on: so where your bonus symbols land is important, as you can be awarded between 15 to 35 free spins in total upon bonus trigger! During this bonus, an alternate set of reels is used with more stacked wilds available along with more bonus symbols making it easier to retrigger.
Besides the Keys to Riches Bonus, there is also the “Trash for Cash” bonus which is initiated by landing scattered bonus symbols on reel 3, 4 and 5. The reels are designed in a way so that you can never initiate both bonus types on the same spin, and Keys to Riches is definitely the better bonus overall. In Trash for Cash, you choose one bonus symbol for a multiplier between 2x and 5x, after which the other two choices reveal credit values which are summed and multiplied by your chosen multiplier for a total win between 6 and 40 times your total bet.
There’s huge potential with Stinkin’ Rich, especially if you land the top symbol, “Mrs. Gottrocks” which pays 10000 per line! In addition, scatter awards are available for 3x, 20x, or 100x your bet if you land 3, 4 or 5 of the special skunk scatter symbols. Finally, wilds are stacked only on reels 2, 3 and 4.
Now, back to playing this one with "Less Lines" which can create some very interesting interesting opportunities as you will see. On certain versions you can select your number of lines and ideally a higher denomination, too. The key point is that regardless of the number of lines you are playing, if you initiate the Keys to Riches bonus, all bonus spins are played on the full 100 lines at your same bet multiplier! In this video, I bonused when I played 10 lines at the top bet multiplier of 5 at the dime denomination, for a $5 per spin total bet. During the bonus, each spin used all 100 lines with each at a bet multiplier of 5, or 50 cents per line, for effectively a $50 per spin bonus!
When playing Stinkin' Rich at less lines, the potential rewards are Off-the-Charts, but you need a lot to happen to realize its full potential. First, you need to initiate the bonus which isn't easy when playing less lines as the bonus symbols need to be on a line after which you will likely be awarded 5 spins. Then, you really need to retrigger and if you do, it will be between 15 and 35 spins! Finally, you still need to land some great line hits during one of your bonus spins. So a lot needs to happen, but if it does, think about the huge potential!

You can hit the play button as soon as the columns start rolling and it will freeze the picture in place. You gotta be quick if you have a fast machine. At least that's how my local Stinkin Rich works.
It doesn't work that way. "Stopping the Reels" to change the eventual result is a myth. Else there would be professional stoppers making bank each day, every day.
