As someone who has always appreciated hardcore but never really gotten into it, Turnstile is a band that actually keeps me interested and paying attention.
Great story behind the scene at 0:42: this was filmed at a show in Leipzig, Germany where many refugees who just came to Germany were in the audience. They had the time of their lives and did not get tired for one second from stagediving. Will never forget this show.
There’s so many things you could say about Turnstile. They had one of the most beautiful artistic evolutions that we’ve seen in the past decade and they just keep getting better. They are a never-ending force that have successfully broken barriers within hardcore/punk while honoring their roots that made them who they were in the first place. Were it not for this band, the music they released, and everything else in between, I’m not sure we would have so many artists and scenes like we do today. There’s so much to owe to this band and I feel so proud staying all this time to witness their growth. Also, Blood Orange is an angel. What a perfect collaboration. This video brought back 25 years+ of memories of going to shows and just connecting with strangers in some sort of hard to describe spiritual level. It made me break down but it restored a little of my soul. Turnstile are a band full of hope

I was playing basketball at a park and a group of teenagers were playing this song on a loud Bluetooth speaker. I stopped playing to immediately ask Siri what song this was, added it to my playlist, then got back on the court. I *did not* want this song to be lost in the back of my head…..
Luv this song. Turnstile is a Surf/Skate/Punk/NuWave band to me. The clean tones they use always sound so dang good and they remind me of 80’s bands like The Outfield believe it or not and many others. Also 311, and then of course other hardcore and punk bands. I even hear some Bad Brains in them which I’m just waiting to get ripped on that one by some clown keyboard warrior who doesn’t truly know music or these bands and their entire catalogs. I hear Jakob from Sublime wants them on a new Sublime song and I hope that happens.🤙🤘🎸🤘
