I paid $88k for mine back in 2021. 8 foot bed limited fully loaded like this one with the night package. I know the truck has its limits but hands down the best truck I’ve ever owned. My dealer keeps calling me trying to get me to trade for the 2023😂😂
Should cost about 80-85. The big three are making HD trucks unaffordable and will continue to see their sales go down.
I hope they start dropping. I'm looking to start hotshot trucking and having a warranty would be nice
I doubt it. Sales won’t go down. There is no difference in people paying markup on new and used vehicles or just buying an expensive vehicle to begin with. Only thing that may hurt them is everyone who bought something off a dealership lot within the past 3 years is going to be upside down if they financed, which may lead to a lot of people not being able to upgrade to new.
The person who is buying this trim is most likely, putting alot of cash up front on this, has a business and writes this off, has had a previous model and rolls in positive equity, or combination of everything I just mentioned.
You can get a dually and not get this trim to save money.
@@malcolmn.5222 I bought this trim. Ordered it last week. 114k order and I’m only putting 15-20k down. Payments should be around $1500-1600 which is fine with me. Laramie and bighorn trims are not to far behind the limited when you spec them out. That’s why I ordered a limited. My Laramie build was $105k
@That Spectrum Guy if they got money for this, they will be 60,000 when they leave the lot. Maybe buy a house for that instead of a truck.

Mega cabs to me remove some functionality of the bed and really confines gooseneck towing
Prices should not be this high, my brother bought a 2011 Ram 3500, Cummins, auto, 4x4, about mid level and after discounts he got it for high 30’s, I want to say $38 or $39k. They should be triple the price in roughly 10 years. He said it will just about bring what he paid for it to this day. I thought he was pulling my leg but after seeing these prices I’d believe it. It “only” has 120,000 miles on it because he only drives it when pulling a 40’ gooseneck
It's the route I would go if I didn't want to buy a house.
New F350 came out, and it’s still cheaper than a Ram 3500 Limited dually. The only truck on the market that’s more expensive is the 2023 F450 limited. Cheapest I can build a limited with what I need is $106,975

I priced one out at the dealer for about $106K (Crew Cab). I'd need to sell my 2020 fully optioned Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT and my 1969 Charger R/T to buy it.

I have a 2022 ram 3500 Laramie silver with night edition package..looks better than full blackout. I'm proud to have the last year of moose mode mirrors!
I have a RAM 3500 great truck but 2 years later still waiting for CP4 pump to be replaced. Paying big money is not a guarantee to getting a top of the line truck. I use to tow 5th wheel is my 2020 has only 18k miles not a daily driver. If I was looking again for a new truck I would 100% consider a Semi Volvo VNL 860 used with less than 300k miles for $80k. Maintenance on 860 is 50k oil change and new tires last 150k.
I would buy this truck, if Ram had the extra tailgate Camara like Ford does, I like those new Ram side mirrors

I’ve driven a ‘22 crew cab dually and a ‘23 mega cab dually. Both had air ride. I found the mega cab to be more comfortable/less jarring as well. I had thought it was down to the cab being heavier and more of the cab weight being towards the back of the truck.

Ram’s pricing is kind of odd. You dont get really anything different on a Limited night edition vs. a Laramie night edition, yet there’s a 10k price difference between a fully loaded limited night dually and a fully loaded laramie night dually.
You're paying for the Laramie badge 🥴
You get a lot different it’s about the quality of things when you get to that level.

Insane. You could buy a house for that. I have a 2018 Longhorn Laramie 3500 dually w/ 6.7 Cummins. It was $60k and I think that's an embarrassing amount of money.

Beautiful truck. Overpriced as hell, but beautiful. Can't get over how underwhelming the Limited interior is, though. It's the same as the black leather Laramie interior...but more boring. Everything is the same monotone, blah color. If I could put the cattle tan and black interior from the Longhorn in this truck, it would be perfect. The contrast in color with that interior makes it look fantastic and expensive. With this, I'd constantly be asking myself, "Where'd my money go?" That interior just doesn't justify the price tag. Still my favorite configuration of the Ram, though...mega cab dually 4x4...in black, of course. Seemed really quiet on the driving portion of your review.
Thanks for showing the truck, I love RAM but some things ...I think they should do better. I think a maintenance review is in order: #1 Oil Filter hard to get too, in tire well, need to turn tires, need special cap so you don't spill oil when you put it in sideways then rotate it vertically. #2 2-Fuel Filters, 1 up against the fire wall, hard to get to, the other under the truck, both makes a big mess. ($250+ full sythentic/fuel filter oil change) #3 No drain plugs on Differentials XD, creetans, make you pull off 15 bolts and buy a new gasket. #4 Crankcase filter, not hard but will need multiple wrenches and sockets and wirelooms are hard to pull off bolts. #5 AISN Transmission oil filter (in pan) XD what a bunch of Cretans, why not make an external spin off on the way to the transmission cooler? What if you had to drop the pan to do an oil change? #6 You have to go through the glove box to change the cabin air filter, not terribly bad, but not that straight forward. #6 All specialty fluids are *liquid gold* meaning you have to pay 2-3x for what they are worth. I hope for the next generation RAM truck debut they have a dunking booth for the engineer teams and the owners/service shop mechanics can take out their frustration.
Beautiful Truck but the price is absolutely ridiculous! Manufacturers became greedy during and since covid! Trucks at almost any trim level are out of reach for most hard working Americans. It's disgraceful! Thanks for the review.

Currently running with a 5th gen 1500 loving it. But I wan’t to get a HD 3500 later on but I may wait a while longer because I’m hearing a lot of issues with the aisin transmission which is holding me back from getting one. Beautiful looking truck though especially in the night edition!
Biggest issue of the aisin, really isn’t an issue, it’s people who want to daily these, who’ve never had an hd truck. They don’t drive like cars and too many fat wallets, don’t realize that when they buy them to pull their toys. Then they drive it and think it drives like crap because it’s not like driving an escalade.
The aisin is a great transmission and was meant to haul.
Get a 4th gen if you want Bang for the Buck price.
Also I've ran my 2018 Laramie Aisin towing heavy as a work truck for a lil over 5 years now and haven't run into a single issue with it.
I have a 2022 5500 and it’s been at the dealership for over 70 days waiting on a transmission. It has 850 miles on it. The 5th gen have major transmission problems. Do your research before buying a HD Ram.

@@marconopolo805 4th gen or not, there’s no such thing as bang for the buck price anymore. They’re all selling for more than they’re worth. Might as well buy new since your buying negative equity and paying marked up used prices. Seen used stuff going for the cost of new stuff. My 2022 f350 I sold to a dealership for $96,500 and sticker on the was $84,500 and that same dealership had it sold for 106k within 2 weeks.
Ben I saw a hydro blue 4th gen sport in the parking lot if that dealership, are you able to review that? I know you did one before, just don’t see those often and that one may be optioned differently
If that thing came stock with some 35” nittos it would be perfect out the box. Except for the non cooled rear seats. How tf you charging that much and not adding that?

The older limited gauges have the blue rings around the tach and speedometer. Did that digital dash have that option or color scheme like the legacy limited. I’m not liking that they jacked the prices up and took away the wood on the steering wheel. The 23 Laramie no longer has fender flares either.

@@jakes5530 not talking about off roading 🙄.... but look at the front bumper of some of these trucks and you will notice that some cars have more or the same clearance.

Ive been shopping heavy duty trucks. Always been a Ram fan but when I built a 3500 Laramie it was close to 100k!! A mid tier laramie. New superduty doesnt catch my eye. Built a fully loaded 24 GMC 3500 at4 duramax and its at 88k. Everything the Ram has except airbags. Sorry Ram. Im headed over to the GMC which in my opinion is the best looking HD truck out
It looks like it has those temporary flat tire doughnuts on the front. For that price you should get upgraded 20” rims.

That spec should be able to tow the max rating, which is 37,090 lbs.

It suck’s that for the ‘23s they have omitted options on limiteds. I have a ‘22 Limited Longhorn and because of that I received the rear ventilated seats. Pay all that money for a Ram Limited and that was a showstopper for full size American trucks. Heated and ventilated Rear Seats on this trim package. They will lose some customers now.

Yeah but technically you can lay the rear seats flat and sleep in the back of a megacab. Guess it kinda depends what youre using the truck for.

Yeah, they should cut their losses and go to the 1500 crew cab at this point. It has more room than a mega cab anyway.

I’m sorry, but these truck prices are getting outrageous for no reason. From the business aspect, I went to that truck, but 3500 Dooley or 4500 Dooley prices are outrageous simply put.

I used to think I made decent money, but I guess I don't. I don't know how people afford these. A maxed out diesel back in 1998 was 30k. I know because I ordered it and still drive it. I guess I need to raise my prices at my work because apparently everyone is flush with cash except me.😁
They are living beyond their means for stays symbols. Keep the ‘98 it’s a much better truck anyway. I have an 2008 ram 3500 and does everything i need it to do and I ain’t getting rid of it. Yeah it’s not fancy but it’s a beast! 6.7 six speed.

It has the Aisin. It’s the good one. The 2022 Aisin is the bad one with the bad snap ring.
In the current economic conditions it is not worth it it's a truck to haul and move heavy stuff not a sports car

That's not a defect that's where the steel belt comes together in the rubber. Every tire is like that some are just more pronounced.
@@fast851yes it is where the cords have been compromised and can result in a blow out I been working at a tire shop for years. Don't believe me look it up also those are cheap tires

Yeah I paid 60k out the door for a 1500 bighorn crew cab in SOUTH CAROLINA. nobody else has any other than quadcabs who wants a quadcab? They look goofy.

Less electronics more manual things would make it better and cheaper priced
i have had 5 ram 3500 limiteds and once they passed the 80k mark we no longer are buying them, now this truck is 110k if you pay cash don't forget about the taxes and if you get a loan you are closer to the cost of a house total amount would be 145k-165k these truck companies need to pull they're heads out of they're asses and start pricing trucks better and you say its rare lol every dealer here in Canada has like 4 or 5 of these trucks on there lot, no one is buying them. banks are starting to say no. the time of the 100k truck is DEAD. its sad when we have 4 2018s and 1 2017 trucks in our fleet and its cheaper to get a engine and trans rebuilt then to buy a new truck, trans is 6k and the motor is 10k. 16k total and you have a new truck just about, this new truck pricing is a joke.

Evidently everyone is rich cause these high end trucks are everywhere. At least in Texas. Every other vehicle is a new jacked up high end diesel. WTF?? I just can’t fathom a $1600 vehicle payment plus insurance plus the $4.50 a gallon diesel. I’ll keep my 2008 ram 3500 till the wheels fall off.
I wouldn’t spend $100 grand on a truck. And if I did it better come with a 7 year bumper to bumper warranty
As much as love this truck i would NOT buy one until Ram has a 10 speed transmission.
