I’m a NASP shooter, so I really appreciate this and think it’s really cool that you used to shoot NASP! Now I’m learning. Olympic Recurve in addition, hoping to shoot In college!
That has been done, At an ASA shoot after the first day of shooting they had a kids range and put Genesis bow in the hands of 5 or 6 pros. After about 2 or 3 shots they started hitting one ten after another!
I bought a couple of these bows at the Army Navy store a few weeks ago for 20 bucks each. I took one apart and spun the cables around 20 to 30 times. I can tell it pulls back a lot harder! I’ll be using it for snap shooting carp in the spring hopefully it’s got enough juice with the cables spun around.
This couldn't have come at a more perfect time, I just placed first yesterday at a NASP shoot. I have a couple questions for you 1) What do you aim with on the bow? Do you use the tip of the arrow or something else? 2) Whats a good way to shoot steadier? Even tho I'm only pulling 20 pounds, I feel like I'm moving way too much.
My son is shooting in NASP. I'd love to see more NASP videos, tutorials, tips, etc. Have you thought about reaching out to NASP to see if you can work out some sort of deal to cover their tournaments or do other video work (promotional or otherwise)? I've been following your channel for a few years now and really enjoy your videography, but I only just subscribed. I was one of the 70%. Sorry.
Glad ALC is back open. I was up there a couple weeks ago and it look like they was remodeling or something. It would be mind blowing if I was to run into you. I’m a big fan of the blog.
Hi I do have a question and need some help. I shoot my bowtech realm for 3 D. My arrow is. Easton hexx 400 spine. At 26.5 inch long three flech right helical vanetch super spine the small one at 70 ponds and 27 draw perfect at the paper tune an so good at the 3 D. So I dicided tu convert those to an indoor set up. A fletch 3 vanes AAE hybrid 4 inch. And a 125-grain tip. Now my problem is the paper tune is terrible. Left kick of an inch zise. Do I need to retune the bow to the new set up? This is the reazon I did not buy a fat arrow.
Love this video! I’ve been shooting NASP for 3 years now! My team have been South Carolina state champions for the past few years & we just qualified for the next state tournament! If your in town you should come and watch! It’s April 22nd in Sumter, SC :)
I started shooting NASP this year in school I’m in 8th grade and I’m shooting a average of 47 I would love a vid on form and everything else you do. Thank you awesome vid
Since my daughter got into archery, I decided to get myself a genesis bow as well to shoot along with her at our local indoor range....Needless to say, I'm terrible, but I think that's due to being cross dominant.
Could you look into the Matthew's Gen X and do a video on it? It's like the adult version of the Genesis NASP bows. Looks just like a Genesis bow but comes with whisker biscuit, sights, removable on-bow quiver, and goes up to 40 pounds draw weight. I just got one and I love it.
Do you still use it and like it? My daughter has a genesis mini and I thought of getting the gen x for myself to shoot with her. The price is appealing.
@@ProdigiousReturn So the only problem with the Gen X I've discovered is when you shoot a regular genesis it's only 20 pound draw weight so it not having the let off is no problem. However with the GenX it's 40 pound draw weight so not having let off makes it extremely hard to aim for even a short time without shaking and it makes it hard to have a consistent shot. It's basically a fancy recurve bow
I have to say I miss shooting nasp. Took top 3 in state a couple times and made it to Kentucky for nationals. Highest score is a 297. Luckily I am now a coach for nasp and absolutely love it. I get to shoot at a couple of the tournaments in the coaches class and looking forward to it.
I was just scrolling through the comments and saw that you are a coach in NASP my grandson started in the program this year would appreciate any advice on anything I can do in tuning the bow I know there isn’t much you can do other than poundage adjustments and nock adjustments I thought about messing around with tiller offset what do you think any help would be appreciated
I used to shoot at nasp tournaments and most the time I shoot 280's and up. Normally at practices I shoot 290's though. I'm graduating this year and we didn't have an Archery team this year I really wish they would have let me qualify as a single because last year was by far the best year and I think I could at least shoot a 295.
Given NASP requires the same arrows, rest, etc. for everyone, is there anything that can be done to tune the bow specific to each archer? More specifically I'm wondering about whether you could do any sort of paper tuning or even bare shaft tuning to not only tell you what sort of form issues you might have but also to maybe adjust things like your nocking point or maybe even cam lean? I've also noticed that the nock fit is quite tight with the stock strings/serving.
Hey man awesome vid I’m on the one of the only homeschool nasp teams in the us and where getting ready to go shoot in Kentucky and where he first homeschool team to go to nationals on the east coast tournament
He Chris I consistently make really small groups of three but they are all over the place. Any ideas on what could be happening Thanks Keep up the great content btw

I would love to see a bunch pros have a competition with genesis bows
Agree
It was satisfying and funny watching Chris shoot that little unit haha
That has been done, At an ASA shoot after the first day of shooting they had a kids range and put Genesis bow in the hands of 5 or 6 pros. After about 2 or 3 shots they started hitting one ten after another!
Chris, you should do a whole NASP series. Would be nice to see Emily involved as well. My daughter learned a ton from both of you at the Demer center.
NASP uses meters not yards

nasp is ten meters and fifteen meters but yards is close enough
Chris bee: i think 295 would be a resonable goal.
Me; struggling to get 270
Me struggling to get a 230💀
Love me some Fusion360. I'm actually working on a grip for my Diamond SB1 in Fusion, which I'm gonna print in PETG

I also shoot nasp and I use my arrow shaft and aim at one of the scoreing rings. And for the movement make sure you're arm is straight.

You can add finger savers and a sling to it and they won't say anything.
Pls do a video on your new mathews bow. I've been very eager to see and look at your new bow. But great video and keep up the good work🤙
Great video. Nasp is based on meters though. It is everything the same just 10 and 15 meters.
Hey Chris! Its actually 10 and 15 meters.
I’m a 29.5 inch draw, do you think I should get the 37 Invicta or the 40,and also what colors should I run with???

Can you suggest arrows other than the Easton Genesis XX75 for basic (not NASP) target shooting by a beginner?
I started shooting NASP this year in school I’m in 8th grade and I’m shooting a average of 47 I would love a vid on form and everything else you do. Thank you awesome vid
Meeting Chris Bee and watching a new Chris Bee video on the same day blasphemy

@@troyglattli3846 it’s listed as having a 65% let off? So I’m guessing you no longer like it ?
If it's a true Genesis Gen X it has 0% let off
@@troyglattli3846 the official genesis site says 65% for gen x. Only the normal genesis and genesis mini have zero let off.
I'm in the NASP program in North Dakota.
12:12 good shooting, that's accurate!
Anyone else noticed the funky peg holding the target
I was on the Chickasha Oklahoma high school nasp team and we was 7 time state champions by my senior year 👍🏻
That’s crazy it took me 3 full years of shooting a genesis to shoot a 293 and he just goes out there and shot a 294 is ridiculous.

Hey Chris did you shoot at foley this weekend btw love your videos keep up the good work
I saw you at indoor nationals!! I love your videos!!

A large problem i have found is that nasp arrows dont have any helixing, that mixed with the low poundage makes for very unstable flight
You should try and shoot a dime with an arrow then try and robin hood the arrow ,that u just shot at the dime.
More NASP ARCHERY range time vids plz
I shoot nasp and my best so far is a 287 I shot that last Saturday. My new goal is 292.
