This song really establishes the overall feeling of the game. The desperation, the bitterness of defeat after defeat, the cycle of life and death, love and loss, the constant battle, and the final spark of hope. This game is truly art, and I wish I could experience it all over again for the first time.
It's a strong description for it but the soundtrack for this game and nier in general is like literal ear crack imo. Not just the game itself sticking with you but the literal god tier soundtrack. Good lord it's the absolute gold standard of songs in video games imo. Just wonderful.
It is. I'm not one to listen to video game music, but anything off of the Nier games and the Souls series is definitely an exception. Especially this one. What a way to start Automata, it immediately gets you heavily invested in the world.
I think the reason this song sends a chill down my spine, is because it's not just setting the tone for the video game. But for the fourth wall that it will break.
The director of thus game was gonna use this ost as the final level but because he really liked this one so much, he decided to make it as the prologue instead and reuse it again later. I dont remember who was the one that brought that info but credit goes to that individual.
Project Wingman's composer says he took inspiration from Nier Automata to compose the soundtrack. According to him the PW dev team requested that Nier Automata serve as the reference. This is likely the song he referenced when he composed "Calamity" and sent it in for review. It would be used for the fifth mission "Sirens of Defeat". Calamity bears a striking resemblance (but not in a way that is ripped off) to Alien Manifestation.
This is no vocals version i think. I have the game on ps4 but didn't play it too much. Thanks for this video, it's nice to see a dynamic or no vocals version of this song ^^
@@persey7241 I bought Nier Automata once again in Steam for the sake of mods and better graphics, along with Nier Replicant. I'm now waiting for the arrival of RTX 4090 that I bought. I have AMD gpu, and it's not always good with shaders and rtx really. Even though 2B is one of my favorite characters, I know less about her ☺😄
I hope Warner bros movie was this good...cause aside the "bass" o dont see any similarities, this actually sounds good and interesting unlike the over the top washed out Zimmer regurgitations wb has been done for years
I always ask myself from what perspective this is. The music itself is clearly from the perspective of 2b and the androids, but the title alien manifeststion, isnt that something the robots would describe the androids with?
It could be that "alien" does not mean as in "extraterrestrial" but "unknown" and different to 2B and the androids. Whatever they saw when they landed was far from what they expected.

Hearing that violin part is just so satisfying

I fell in love with the game because I fell in love with this one ost in the Prologue can't lie!!
I just wanted to take a peak into the game and fell into a rabbit hole I honestly don't want to get out anymore 😂😂😂😂

This track takes the game’s opening scene to a whole new level. Just a fantastic piece of music.

I often think about the god that blessed us with this cryptic puzzle... and wonder if we'll ever have the chance to kill him.
This game gets you in the fucking mood immediately

The beggining and an end.. the birth and death, the full cycle, beautiful connection
well it definitely has endgame feel, even though Bipolar Nightmare is even more epic.
Such an legendary track to introduce this epic game :)

Galaxy: Presidia on the nose, Sicario. Seems like the tactical retreat is in full swing.
For some reason I really associate this track with the relationship between 9S and 2B, especially the violin part
It's currently 3:40 am and it's the first time in my life I've ever teared up for how good a song was

put it in youtube multiplier and mashed it up. Honestly a good beat 👌
The opening and this track made me fall in love instantly with the game
Some songs give you chills. This song gives you trembles.

Man, you really need to play the full game if you still haven't. It's one of a kind, it can't be overpraised

Xbox Gamepass Ultimate was the best dollar I spent in my life
Dude saaame, never in a million years would I have bought this game and played it before Game Pass, and so many others like it.
I got mine on steam after 7 years from relase. Bought replicant right after. Will get a copy of drakengard 3 even if i got no consoles at all.
Same but I bought this game from last summer sale on steam. Probably the best investment I did in my life.
Such an amazing track!
Não sei porque mas... esta música na minha opinião é simplesmente magnífica!! A square mandou bem na trilha sonora.
😍
E ainda escutar essa musica de novo no episodio 1 de Nier automata 1.1
All OST in NieR are masterpiece
That organ. Just so good
The begining sound like a music you could hear in the trailer of a Warner Bros movie lmfao

I like to start a new game just to listen this music ❤

Yes, you are right beacause robots in my opinion didn’t intend to be a „intruder on earth” and just want to live like normal creatures so badly.
