This is gorgeous! I'd never considered playing Irish fiddle style on the harmonica! This is the truly the finest!
Well done'!
How culture can evolve
Dude! Cheers to you, man, and all yours this New Year.
Very nice Brendan!
Thanks Steve! Hope you're well 🤗
BrendanPowerMusic - doing very well and hope you are too! Bummer about the SPAH convention this year. I’m working on a few videos for the ‘virtual convention’... I have some new videos up - check them out on my channel!
@@swatne will do 👍
I don't comment often, but i am commenting now. You wonderful bastard, thank you, sincerely, thank you.
Ta Mark! 🙂👍
Brendan, thank you for sharing this. You are light years ahead of the rest..
Cheers Chris, glad you like it. I haven't seen this for a long time, must do some more in a similar vein 👍
Beautiful, inspirational. Thank you, once again, for innovating with electronic gear while performing expertly vocally, rhythmically, & on your harp.
You sir , are an inspiration. It's taken me two years , but finally , I can play a pastiche of the corner house . I torture mandolin usually, but broke my wrist and a week later came across this .
always loved this no matter how many times I listen to it
Okay how is he not known worldwide!? Absolutely love the video.
That was really really cool, Brendan! I LOVED that vocal didgeridoo breakdown you had in the middle! That vocal FX processor you've started using is really capable of some neat effects, and you are using them to great effect in this song!
Glad this came around again! Good lock-down soundtrack : )
Absolutely amazing! Thank you for that!
Awesome Rad Bad and Sick .. all meant in the best [possible way! Love that sound!
very good! the machine's power
You have got to be my favourite harmonica player ever! I have started learning the harmonica few weeks ago and I am amazed at how you can remember so many (what seems) complex songs, my inspiration thank you
Big up for that artist!
Great, and what a seamless performance.
Wonderful and inspirational...as usual. Can't wait to see you some time soon in the UK!
Exellent ONE MAN BAND .... Keep up the good work
Realy enjoy that Brendan.
I just found my new idol! You are amazing!! :OO
wonderfull!! congrats my good man, great version!!
It's "The Corner House" played on a G Suzuki Promaster in Paddy Richter tuning. Go to my website for details of Irish harmonica instructional packages
Very Nice!
Thanks Brendan! I'll definitely check out the VE-5. I'm pretty happy with my Zoom G3, but I always love checking out new gear!
You’re inspiring me 🎉advice for a guy who has some apple products: phone and pad, a Linux operating system, a passion for Harmonica and wanting to get a battery amp in a wagon and perform on street corners?
That was rippin! Glad i subscibed. Thinking i"ll get a looping unit for my b day tomorrow!
The Voicelive Touch is great, but there is quite a learning curve to master it. If you want to get into a similar thing (mic stand mouned vocal effects processor with looper) for a cheaper price and much less complxity, check out the new Boss VE-5
Ta Nick - trad music does involve quite a lot of memorization, but it comes naturally as you learn to play the tunes by ear and transfer them to the instrument. A combo of brain and muscle memory. Good luck with your playing!
very nice...similar to the Battle of Aughrim
That's sound enormous Brendan you are a terrific beatboxer and this new approach is so cool....( where is the Ultimate 57?)
cool!!
Sugoi!
Ta for the comments, people. To answer a couple of queries: yes, you can use a looper to create a drone; the looper is a TC Helicon Voicelive Touch; I'm sure you can play Irish music tongue blocking but I don't, I use pucker technique. BP
Superb Bro ❤❤❤ Luv this one.
May I know the Loop machine details please.
Thanks! Info in the Description
The Ultimate 57 is reserved for more Bluesy stuff, thanks Christelle :-)
I finally got it. it's all in the amp. all my harps sound like tin. they sure don't sound like this! I have been wasting a lot of money for nothing!
A tape of this needs to be sent to Matt Damon and Ben Affleck to be considered for their Whitey Bulger movie set in Boston. They would dig it.
I was trying to joke about it it's fine Brendan
Subbed!
Wow
Alright Brendan. Do you know anyone who plays Irish music tongue blocking? I read under another video somewhere you play pucker. Do you think Irish harmonica is better suited to lip pursing? For speed maybe.
Thanks for all your music. An inspiration to all
Hi Brendan , wonderful played . i am interested to irish harmonica because of you :) So which key is this song or harmonica ? Can i find this tune/riff from any book or should i find it by ear ? Thank You :)
Hi Brendan, I'm a fellow kiwi. What do can do with a harmonica is astounding. I play using u tongue blocking tech like Norton. I'm trying to improve my puckering tech. To control and reach all the bent notes. I can bend a little with u blocking. I love playing Irish tunes and would like to head down that path. Do I need to concentrate more on bending to play many of the Irish tunes? I'm considering buying your Paddy richter tuned harmonica with the dual slide to play in G and D. Your web site doesn't list it anymore, are you improving it? What other books or material do you have that would help me? Cheers, Brent
I would love to know what device your using for that looping Brendan. Great song, always love your sound.
TC Helicon Voicelive Touch
Could you use the looping machine to record a drone sound like the bagpipes maybe blowing on hole one and then play some Scottish tunes on the Harmonica?
Yes
By all means Erik. If you're friends of theirs or know anyone who is, send them the link :-)
Watching this cost me 150 pounds cos i just had to buy one of them machines
bonjour! superbe interprétation je suis breton!! bon matériel qu'elle marque? et références merci vraiment excellent!! Kénavo
