There's so many other factors in play that can and will be used as excuses in a sense for why you shouldn't even try, but if you don't even try then it's usually just as bad as if you didn't succeed when you did. Key word usually; there are a plethora of risks that just simply are not worth it, and you always have to be careful with HOW you take the risk so as to min/max your risk vs reward; minimize unnecessary risk, but some level will almost always be necessary for great success in most areas of life. The only thing that can change that is luck that only exists in your dreams, but probability states that most people will not have that.

I really hope to become a rap artist one day. Tried before and failed because I've always felt like my music wasn't any good and that feeling had flushed out all the joy from it. Didn't release anything to the public too. Just shared with friends and some of them thought that some of the stuff was actually great. Listening to these tracks after almost a year of break from recording and mixing, I really think that If I put in the work it needs I can pull something good out of the speakers.
