The pet that makes the story so compelling (to me) is he was on a clean icy face.. so you could see his snowboard moving pretty easy. In fact, his path stayed visible for about three months after. Here’s where it gets weird..
He stops and they clearly see it. A little bit before his first scheduled break. He sits arms over legs to warm up. The cameraman and his team don’t think much.
They look back up and he’s gone. No path, no sign of him or any of his stuff.
Why that’s so crazy is this area has NO crevasses or anywhere you could hide. It’s a rock cliff with bits of snow, flat basically.
Where’d he go????
If the Yeti is a real thing.. maybe? Cause you can’t just disappear like he did. They did tests. Anything that goes down that path just ends up at the bottom of the mountain.. there’s absolutely no where else to fall.
Marco maybe knew something we didn’t? This kid was scared of anything scary or painful.. I don’t see him willingly going down something he wasn’t absolutely confident in.
Just a crazy story. My heart to his parents.. lost two kids the same way. His mother was so distraught she went to base camp and tried finding him.. a little old lady. Sad stuff man.

This dude climbed Everest.. the Sherpa with him said “he hiked like us.. it was amazing” then this dude clipped into his bindings and snowboards down in like four hours.
The next trip.. they said he barely made it up and was spent at the summit. The Sherpa knew he was a dead man and tried to save him.. he pushed off. He was also a guy who’d cry if he got a scratch.. he hates pain. It’s scary thinking how he just have died. I hope he never saw it coming.
