Where i live in Chertsey we have got to know our delivery drivers quite well as they seem to be the same ones that come regularly whether it be Evri, Amazon, Royal Mail or independent so we are very lucky. It makes you wonder why these individuals apply for these jobs if they can't be bothered to do it.
@@allenfleckney5969 Don't do 4K!! We don't need no steenkin' 4K! Seriously, it's mainly for wildlife and movies, mate. I wouldn't waste your time. I refuse to buy a 4K panel for PS5 gaming because a) price and b) reliability. You've taught me expensive big TVs are a mugs game to a large degree so I just won't open the wallet on that until things improve. Just bought a nice 32" Dell 1080p monitor, £120 job done. I watch all my TV on that when I'm not gaming.
Nice simple fix nice to have a happy customer, had bent strips that were in the standard plastic pipe the whole thing looked like it was trapped or closed in a door, for it to deform the plastic pipe it must of been some force, got a refund and a new set sent 😊
Wrong Address deliveries are the biggest bane with people buying online .... You see it constantly on local Facebook pages with people saying XYZ say they've dropped my parcel at my front door with a photo but its a green door and mines purple, has anyone with a green door had a parcel delivered for a Mr Smith at 110 Noddy Rd. ...what gets me is even why they leave parcels without an answer to the door bell or knock at the door
Hi, first of all happy new year, really enjoying your videos! Turns out that my LG 65'' nano cell (2016) died last night. Have some energy power drops this past month while watching TV and now no image other than blank but with sound . Considering buying a new set instead of doing a repair, did the tvs from 2016 to 2024 improved image quality, I hear a lot over the new processors that are substantial more powerful than tvs with 6 years old. Much appreciated if you give me your thoughts about it!
Everi are the worst failed delivery's and broken items because they always drop stuff ,royal mail have been ok apart from the item they left and the doorstep or stole themselves .
A general question: I notice that the majority of TVs have what seems to be a PCMCIA/PC Card socket on the main board (like you used to get on old laptops). This always seems to be empty. What is it actually used for?
These are cam slots (conditional access module) In the early days of digital TV in the UK there were pay to view channels and the providers supplied a card to plug in and access them. Not been used in years but possibly in other countries.
Eek! As soon as I saw the PC World / Currys "Don't Know How" logo my eyeballs were seared blind. Cheers. Good result, next time don't risk it mebbe? Use a new strip and do an RMA on the busted stuff. I'm in a similar game (PC / laptop repair) - bad SSDs and SODIMMs arrive from time to time. Annoying but not worth the risk, PCB was possibly cracked internally on that strip? Couldn't see anything wrong with your actual repair.
Amazon delivery to pick up at a locker at a petrol station. I had a message to say unable to find your address please contact Amazon to confirm your address. That’s apart from Amazon deliveries to home address just being left on the door step and not bothering to ring the bell rain hail or shine
Please don't blame individual couriers - most damage occurs at the hubs and depots. Also, system messages telling you "things" are generic, and quite often have no relation to what has ACTUALLY happened! Obviously, not all couriers are equal, but the vast majority do a great job, whilst being seriously underpaid. I'm afraid you can blame the large shippers who extort low unit prices for the bulk of their deliveries (naming no names; I'm sure you can guess). The courier companies then externalise their costs by placing all the "final mile" costs onto the individual courier (who has to use his own vehicle, in the vast majority of cases). We expect cheap or free "next day" delivery, and we definitely don't want to pay for it - and in my opinion, therein lise the problem.
These are Vestel made TV's. The same insides are used in Toshiba, Sanyo, Panasonic, JVC and many other sets. They're fairly reliable, give a good picture and come with a budget price.
Go on, I dare you, only winding you up, I watch your channel with interest knowing I could travel the globe, converse in multiple languages and drive them to frustration with my endless tales of yesteryear, when my life was filled with endless backlights

I don't know why people get Logik tv's repaired, they are rubbish and not worth fixing..
