    This reminds of Stephen King's quote for some reason:
    “No one can tell what goes on in between the person you were and the person you become. No one can chart that blue and lonely section of hell. There are no maps of the change. You just come out the other side.
    Or you don't.”

    One of the most underrated movies out there. Warner Bros. fucked up thinking this should be a shooter type movie. Thus, they didn't promote it.
    This showed an idol dreamer and depressed maniac. It showed a realism that has never been shown in a western. The attention to detail, like the glass of the window panes being warped, to the mannerism by even the most simple and what they said was still poetic.
    This movie, is a one of my favorites starring Brad Pitt as well as a great performance by Casey Affleck! Love this movie. It ranks with Dead Man and Joker for me. Misunderstood masterpieces.

    • @Johnnysmithy24
      @Johnnysmithy24 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Lol Joker a misunderstood masterpiece? The movie made over a billion dollars, won all the awards, became a pop culture icon, nearly every popular film reviewer on TH-cam talked about it, and almost everyone calls it a masterpiece. If anything the movie is overrated af, it’s not nearly as great as everyone thinks. This movie is a misunderstood masterpiece this movie only made half its budget... which was 30 million, and barely anyone knows it

      It's simple we all are romanticists :) we try to look for meaning in everything that comes on our path and enjoy the little things in life. We can live in solitude but also turn negative events into something positive and not constantly complain about it. We are grateful of what has been given to us even though negativity tries to overshadow our lives. We think a lot about our past and question ourselves what the future will bring :)

    A perfect song for the morning, on the afternoon and in the evening :) So many memories in one nostalgic, soothing and, somehow, romantic song. It touches our hearts with a kind of warmth, softness and true understanding that equal solar energies, you know the ones that make us wake up with newly found hope, clarity and vision for every day, for every tomorrow. I don't know much about Nick Cave, only his unique voice, but here we have the richest blend of truth and emotion without even a word spoken, in the song I mean. It brings us closer to ourselves. A rare gift from two generous artists..
    And this song, played on a loop, has a sort of magical and introspective power. Innovation, inspiration, insight and innocence. Somehow it tells us that we are not alone, in our tragedy, in our loss, in our madness. Spero Lucem Post Tenebras ! Love to all

    Absolutely beautifully edited video, I can tell that you deeply understood the film and especially the relationship between Jesse and Bob. Obviously pairing the intro of the song with some of the most gorgeous shots from the film's intro is sublime. Actually got chills at 0:59 for that reason. 1:27-1:45 stood out as particularly affecting. The transition from 2:15 to 2:18 made me shed a tear, ngl, because of how you juxtaposed the moment in which Bob likely decided to betray Jesse, leading to his death, with the memory of Jesse happy with his family. And I love the shot you included from 3:25-3:33. The way that Jesse's face falls a little as Bob sits down is one of those subtle moments of flawless acting in the film. Finally, putting 4:32 and 4:35 together is perfection, showing that Bob was trying to become Jesse James in that very moment. I don't know if you're still on TH-cam, as this video is so old now, but I had to express my appreciation regardless ♥

    This is the best movie ever made for me. It shows people how they really are. Not one side, not the another, just many shades in between. I see this movie once or twice a year, and it still opens new perspectives for me. I still don't 'understand' it completely, but that doesn't matter. Even if you don't 'get it' the cinematography and the music makes it a beauty to watch. A novel on a screen. Oscars don't value a good movie. Sincerity, truth and reality do.

    The beginning is the most beautiful part to me. A man running his hand through a field of wheat.

    I live in excelsior springs Missouri grew up here for 37 years. I live about 10 miles away from the farm house Jesse James grew up in. I've visited his grave in Kearney Missouri and Bob fords grave in Richmond Missouri.
