all bentos are like that though? they're made to be taken to work and school. though during summer, its safest not to take certain time sensitive foods,like fish, as the heat can make fish get rancid quickly. i dont think you can link to outside URLS on youtube anymore, but you should google Just Bento. they have basics and recipes and tips, you may find it useful!
YuMin Get an insulated bag and Ice that fits. Hint: Measure or take your bento with you and try it out in different bags. I just made a bento today with Rice ball, green beans, apple slices, meat balls, and egg roll (just like in the video but stuffed with taco meat). I cooked the egg roll and green beans, and sliced the apple the night before. I also placed my frozen meatballs in the fridge the night before. Then I put rice (dry) into my rice cooker and went to bed. When I got up I made the rice, pulled everything out of the fridge and assembled my bento. If you can do it the night before, do it. But things like rice, fried food, and sandwiches taste better fresh, save those things for morning. Amazon has some Bento cook books; I like 'Yum Yum Bento' and 'Kawaii Bento Boxes'.
Every time I try to make tamagoyaki I always end up with the outside of the egg browned. Yours comes out looking so wonderful! I think I might just be cooking it at to high of a temperature.
