William you're absolutely right, that dark rich orange pollen is interesting.
Turn fun to watch and go in and out of those cracks!

It's amazing how they don't have a traffic jam going in and out of such a small hole

William, it was good to hear from you! Please continue with the videos I’m sure most folks are like me and enjoy your videos. I’m surprised that you haven’t got into your hives yet! I have supers on almost everyone of mine and had to add more to some hives yesterday. If I remember correctly, you are located in Iowa. I normally put my supers on about the first of April and that’s not no April Fools joke. When does your main honey flow begin?

Yeah I should have done the same. Lesson learned for sure. Next year I'm already planning on starting earlier as soon as I see a dandelion they are going on as long as I have my OAV treatments done. Not exactly sure when the main flow is here cause they really start packing it in just after the maple bloom and when those dandelions pop but I had a "Master Beekeeper " disagree with me the other day because they apparently know everything even though they don't live in the same area as myself. Hope it's a great season for ya and thanks for watching🐝

Thanks for the update. I lost 6 hives this winter for various reasons. It was a tough winter up here in MN. We are a week away I suppose from dandelions but the maple is still going strong. It looks like you need to get busy or we'll have to start calling you a slacker. LOL Have a great day.

I have been a slacker lol paying for it now trying to play catch up. Finally got supers on but they already started back filling the brood area. Hoping they will fix it so I don't have to swap frames.

I lost 1 hive here in SW Florida. I really thought they would make it. Baseball size cluster, and just did not have enough reserves. I was doing a hands off approach(actually I worked 5 months of Hurricane relief 7 days a week 12 hours a day. I couldnt do anything for my girls.) It kind of hurt my feelings to lose my girls.

Sounds about like one I lost. Was just to small a cluster to pull through the winter. Sucks loosing a hive but I try to learn from it so as not all is lost. Keep at it friend don't give up and thanks for watching!
