    Finishing up first year and this is fascinating knowing I’ll be in your shoes soon, good luck!

      @@finance2medicine I’m looking forward to second year. Will you make a video on how you started using Anking when you started dedicated? Just looks like so many cards I’m confused where to start

      I honestly kept up with all the same cards I had from first year. So it hasn’t changed specifically for dedicated. But it all depends on where you’re at with your progress and how you want to approach it. I know a couple people who fully suspended everything, and only do cards they unsuspend from getting UW questions wrong. I chose to keep all my cards, but sometimes I feel like I’m drowning bc of it 🫠😂

    Are you using the old Anki algo or the new FSRS? I feel you're doing way too many cards.

      I know I am 😭 I decided to start limiting how many I do now. I’m not sure- to answer your question. I bought the new v12, idk if that came with the new algo

      You would have to edit the Deck Settings as it's an Anki setting. I used to do 600-800 and it cut it down to ~200 daily. It spaced out the cards way better as I saw cards I knew way too often with old algo. Highly recommend checking it out.

    Why did you switch from finance to medicine?

      Long story- but to put it shortly, it was supposed to be my stepping stone to law school, and when I decided law school wasn’t for me, finance was never supposed to be the end goal. I wanted to go into law to help defend innocent ppl (aka be a defense attorney) but I realized the field wasn’t everything I thought it would be. And since I still had the goal of going into a field where I could meaningfully impact lives, I explored medicine and ended up falling in love with it 😊

      @@finance2medicine Should anyone who do not have a passion for science go into medschool?

    • @finance2medicine
      @finance2medicine  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It depends on what you mean by science. The whole field of medicine is based on science. But if you didn’t like chemistry or physics in school, it doesn’t mean you won’t like anatomy or pathology in medical school. The sciences here are different so you might find that you have a passion for them. Medical school is very grueling so I would definitely give it a lot of thought if you have any doubt at all that it might not be for you.
