Jeef underwent a big transformation to become the best player by a huge margin!! I really enjoy watching these games that other creators don’t do it for me anymore (with all due respect)
Very interesting. I agree with what you said at the end where the Roogug is probably a necessity and you have to get kinda lucky since you have to discover it off the triple. But this looks really fun if you can pull it off, way more fun than OG Lubber imo
I am around 9k and I can say that this strat is OP. Roogug is amazing, but not necessary - you can get him at any point in the game and he will still scale quick. You just need the quill 3 drop that scales with tavern spells and lubber. Pick a hero that helps scale at all and this is an auto top 4 strat.
As I saw lubber back mid game, and realized demons and pirates were in and a lubber and rewinder offered in shop. It’s honestly better. The blood gem strat is super strong and you can triple into 4s. Was an easy win on turn 12
I also am interested to see how this plays with ele comps. All elementals gaining +1/+1 per spell and potentially +2/+2 sounds good in theory. With Lub, you might get high scaling. However the issue might appear in the cost-benefit analysis of choosing to lub vs just playing for rock rock.
Thoughts on tribe specific spells that only show up if you have minions of that type? One example could be a spell that moves the blood gems from a minion onto the minion to the right. Ik we have the one steal gem guy but he requires a boardspace. Maybe a eat shop one for demons, or a your nagas spell generation is doubled for the next 2 turns maybe 4 gold. Would be cool
pirates, whenever you buy a pirate this turn gain 1 extra gold. Or give your pirates +1 health for every 2 gold you've spent this turn. Elementals could be maybe a nomi spell
Recently I was doing a random game with elemental quilbore and no pirates and the game just gave 2 paint smudgers 1 turn 4 land lubbers, so I decided to go with it. It got me first place. Didnt get roogug until really late though which hurt a lot.

Love his calm positivity! Also cool commentary, accessible but detailed!

Wouldn't it be better to sell the pirates off immediately so you have more space to buff the quilboars' attack from your right-most minion?
Babe wake up new Jeef post
As soon as I saw the changes I was like : "Jeef will find a way to make it work still" 😂

Nice vid. One potential thing i think you could do is to add some kind of visual indicator of when you are doing voiceover.
he does actually, if you notice his turtle icon is kinda greyed out when he's doing a voiceover but lit up during his in-game commentary

Nice! Was exactly wait for this video 💙
Buying the +1/+1 for 2 gold is a good investment. It fundamentally gives +7/+7 to ur board along with painting ur board with quills
I wonder if you could have gone this direction without the early roogug on tier 3
are strike oils useful in this comp anymore at all or…?
i don't think so. In early you lose too much tempo buying them and in late you get more gold from the 1 cost spells
I have forced this strategy twice after seeing your video, and it works perfect 😁
I couldn't get it working even once (1) when Lubber was on tier 2, I sure am not gonna try again.
Thank you for not adding background music. I just wanna hear your voice
“first love the video jeef keep it up”

I ha a lobby of 5 Quillboar players at 4700 MMR, with two Lubbers on the Board i Never found smudger.
Nice another video
lubber still the goat this one is far better than the rylak comp much more consistent much more early scaling
Thats why he is the GOAT
Lets get it
I always believed in lub after lub
Never forget what they took from us 😭
best build in bg history
Divine shield “posionious” murlock with mackerel will probably always be the strongest build ever. Just about nothing can beat that
