And on top of that his fight against Anthony wasn't even boring, it was a pure dominance and just lacked a finish, but was an entertaining fight. Most MMA fans are just casuals who don't respect other aspects of this sport and just look for a reckless bar fight
People need to listen what Usyk said. Fighters understand if u knock someone out its a huge stress and it can cause problems to people, to their loved ones. Of course fans want to see bloodbath but its not real, we dont get fights like Volk-Ortega that often and there is a reason for it.

As well as his fight IQ, which was showcased in the Izzy fight… Jan is a better counter striker than Rakic, and has more power and better timing. Also has a far more credentialed grappling pedigree… Ankalaev is tough for sure but we’ll know if he is a true contender after the Volkan fight

UFC should always favor the KO fighter (Jiri) over the decision guy (Aleks). If they went back to no rounds or standups we would have lay and pray wrestlers with all the titles. This sport is not a real fight, there are no rounds or standups in fights, mma is about entertainment, thus the KO guy gets favored as it should be.
Rakić is not a wrestler, he comes from a kickboxing background, has finished most of his fights, in a fight against smith he wanted to prove his point that he can also wrestle and dominate a guy which tactics were exactly that, to bring the fight to the ground. And when it comes to Santos, yeah it was a boring fight, but that often happens when you have two guys who just respect each others power too much. Point is Aleksandar is more than capable to knockout people viciously, just look what he did to Jimi Manuwa.

Rakic hasn’t been the most exciting fighter lately but I think he has the best chance of being the next light heavyweight champion in terms of talent

You have to understand that Rakic is a completely uninteresting fighter. The UFC does not want Rakic as a champion. He is literally afraid to fight and end the fight. In addition, he is an uninteresting, unsympathetic personality. So I'm not at all surprised that the UFC preferred Jiri for the title. Also because Jiri is champion Rizin with a much better record than Rakic ever had. His victory over Nemkov is more impressive than all of Rakic's winnings. All this prefers Jiri to him. Also because Rakic has already rejected Jiri once. Before Jiri was to fight Reyes.

This sport is not a real fight, there are no rounds or standups in fights, mma is about entertainment, thus the KO guy gets favored as it should be.
Rakić is not a wrestler, he comes from a kickboxing background, has finished most of his fights, in a fight against smith he wanted to prove his point that he can also wrestle and dominate a guy which tactics were exactly that, to bring the fight to the ground. And when it comes to Santos, yeah it was a boring fight, but that often happens when you have two guys who just respect each others power too much. Point is Aleksandar is more than capable to knockout people viciously, just look what he did to Jimi Manuwa.

Only reason Rakic isn't getting as much respect as Jiri is because he hasn't got as many exciting finishes and isn't as marketable. His win streak speaks for itself though.
