Andra Durnea I agree!!!!!!! I get so tired of the makeup community pitching products to us and not showing us the raw, real life version for all of the fake filters and lighting. As others have said, a little powder could’ve helped but for Mrs. Tilbury, and the fact that she is willing to show us this makeup in the real (as many of us have requested) gets a thumbs up from me!!

I’ve read the comments & what people fail to realize is that it caters to those who don’t want a matte face. It’s a very popular look in Asia right now, it’s all about “glowing” “youthful” almost “oily” skin but instead of calling it oily skin it’s called “illuminated skin” even referred to as “wet skin” hence why Charlotte didn’t use magic foundation (matte) or any airbrush flawless finish powder. Instead she chose light wonder foundation which is a light to medium coverage foundation that really lets the skin be the star of the show. It’s not a look for everybody, it’s best suited for those with no blemishes, dark marks, or texture.
Nia Taylor totally agree with you! Not everyone wants matte and full coverage. I used to buy full coverage when I had bad skin but since I started proper skin care my skin started to improve so much and now I can use Charlotte’a Light Wonder foundation. It’s amazing if you want to show off your skin! 💕💕

Agree. I don't like the matte look. I'm all about the glow. And I find it makes me look younger. Really into Korean skincare which makes my skin bright and radiant
I agree with you. I love having wet skin, cause my skin is dry and has no spots and blemishes so whenever i put matte foundation it looks flawless but around the nose and some parts of the face tend to be cakey. So i think this base or foundation that Charlotte used is perfect for a dry “ perfect “ skin.
Problem with this look is that it wouldnt last 30 minutes without touch-ups, unless youre incredibly dry.

Start with.. A young model with flawless skin. I love Charlotte & a her makeup apart from the base products, they're lovely but pointless for oily skin! Please bring out base products for us oily skinned ppl, PLEASE! You do amazing products so I no ud make something brilliant Charlotte. x

My combo skin can’t use her base products. I do use her wonderglow, but sparingly.
I’m not sure why she chose products designed for dull, dehydrated skin on this model. I saw an oily sheen on textured skin, and her products only accentuated those features. The before and after were unremarkable.
I know what you mean. My skin naturally looks like this (the shiny not the perfect part) after about one hour.....I need something to not make me dull and overly matte but this is too much if you already have oily skin. I LOVE LOVE CT but this is a pass for me.

Different strokes for different folks! Aha I loved the end result! And it depends on the ingredients, lasting power, quality. Lots of factors (: you could probably achieve the look, but will it hold throughout the day and be good for your skin? Who knows~ (:

I like a glowy look, but I always need to set my oily face with powder and add a little extra glow to only the areas that I want to glow, so that my entire face doesnt look like an oil slick. And because of the texture issue I only highlight or add glow to my outer/upper cheek area, around the eye(brows) etc. Not a fan of this all over greasy/sweaty look ;-).

@@CharlotteTilbury it is!! Could you recommend me a bronzer from your brand. I have dry skin and I have some texture on my cheeks which can sometimes be emphasized when adding bronzer, so I don’t know whether liquid or powder is better. Would love a recommendation.

Mmm... I'm a huge Charlotte Tilbury fan, but I'm not sure how this product differs from Wonderglow, other than coming in many more shades. It seems like your run-of-the-mill liquid highlighter or illuminating primer with, I guess, some blurring properties. But again, Wonderglow already did that. I also watched a video of a girl who applied it with natural lighting, and it looked very dewy (almost frosty I'd say, to the point where I wouldn't use it on its own all over the face). Also, the texture of her skin didn't seem very blurred. I would personally use this underneath a matte foundation, mixed with a matte foundation, or as a liquid highlighter on top of foundation. Finally, it would also be good product for those people whose skintone doesn't suit Wonderglow.

I saw no blurring properties. She didn’t use her wonderglow primer with purported blurring capabilities here, and all the products she applied didn’t seem to make much of a difference imho. Textured, oily skin is what I saw. I can do that all by myself.

Answers your question about how it differs to Wonderglow which doesn’t show up on my skintone (probably as I have olive/yellow undertones) and a second video where I’m following this tutorial exactly as she states. I have an oily t zone so I had to use powder but Great for my undereye and cheek dryness. Will post that link in comment below x

I don't see the filter aspect of this at all - on the contrary I think it highlights the texture in the skin? Maybe it would work best as a kind of primer underneath foundation for a more dry skin, but I could never wear this with my oily skin. Good for me I guess because I can save my money and just let my natural oils come through ;)

This is a dewy look with light coverage. Its not for everyone. Best for people with already pretty skin

I loved the finished look, but I still have no idea what this product is, or what it does. From the video, it looks like it does...nothing. Besides add an extra step.
It's a skin-toned highlighter. I own it, and it's really beautiful on top of my cheekbones and appears very skin-like. The way Charlotte uses it on this model is just an inevitable disaster for most people lol

I love Charlotte Tilbury but this just made her look really oily... she definitely needed powder. I can't help but feel like maybe you can achieve a similar look with CT's own highlighter wand instead of the Hollywood Flawless Filter?

Incase you’re wondering isn’t glowy face makeup look the same as oily skin, it’s a bit different. When you put on glowy foundation, you must powder your nose, eyebrows, around the eyes and below your cheeks and just everywhere you want to contour so that the shady parts does not glow and also it wont look oily because your entire face isn’t glowing.
I was able to try the flawless filter at the CT counter yesterday and loved it! I ended up ordering it since it was so beautiful!

I use this alone by itself over moisturizer and then put on some bronzer. Gives you a great glow but you definitely need to have flawless skin to pull it off!
