Hi Guys! We have a more up-to-date version of this video done by our lovely Kirsty Meakin, so if you want, click on the link in this comment to go and watch Kirsty fix up her cousin's nails! bit.ly/2p1I0G5
its easy to remove this..after 2 weeks you need a fill bcuz your natural nails grew already and if you want to remove it,buff the majority of the bulk of the acrylic and soak it with pure acetone for 15 to 20 mins..the acrylic will become soft and its easy to push them down then buff slighty the surface of the nail then apply cuticle oil to replenish the skin around the nails..
I don't know why, but some people would call this video boring. I like videos like this, where there is no background music, and they aren't trying to make the video perfect. This is a very satisfying video
In nearly 20 years, I've had ONE nail artist that could develop something so perfect and deal with complexities. Largely NO ONE does true nail artistry anymore like this. You're amazing and makes me want to move to the UK even more now.
i would do this. but i wouldve laid a clear base down first before extending the nail bed cause now if she hits it, the only thing keeping it together is that top layer of acrylic and the white tip could just snap off since it isnt "sandwhiched" between two clear layers.
this is the very first video that began my acrylic addiction 😅 now, a year later, I'm doing my own, and my friends and families nails! thank you for the inspiration and the wonderful knowledge you've transferred to me
this technique needs to be used everywhere! When they use the plastic tips on nails that are this short, it makes the smile line super low on the nail... and in my opinion, it causes the fingers to look clubbed... this fixes the problem and looks great!
this was my first naio nail video i ever saw, because i had no absolute idea how acrylic worked. around 3 years later I am still astonished and I want to buy my own acrylic set, because I've fallen in love with doing my own nails. what an inspiration!
For someone with short nails because they're bitten, this video was so cool. I never go to the salon because they're so short but this made me confident. Definitely considering this for my graduation and prom.
I've never wanted to do acrylic before in my life, because I always associated it with long impractical nails. but my God, I'd let you do my nails any day. you're fantastic, talented, and super soothing.
I was astonished at how easy you made this look. You can tell you are a Professional at your craft. I have watched a ton of acrylic nail tutorials. None of the one i have seen make the nails look as real as this one does. There is no chunky line around the cuticle and sides of the nail . No heaviness or extra height in the middle curvature of the nail. It is quite flawless. Very Impressive :)
Truly an artist. Easily explained and completely amazing. I have had this problem for years and you have just given me the answer which I would never have thought of. Thank you so much.
Erica i watched back when this women had the channel and then they didnt make vids for about 3 years i think and so when the videos started uploading again with kristy i was sooo excited ❤️
Erica wow, I’ve only ever knows the channel with this woman I watched for years when I was young then they just disappeared and it was a new lady, honestly broke my heart
I thought this was another channel entirely but then clicked on the name...and realized that this channel changed. I honestly like the new lady a lot more. She has more personality.
fantastic. it looked so good... I was always embarrassed by my bitten nails and yet wanted to have this done. but I said I was ashamed of my nails and didn't think it would work. This is fantastic.
I have thin terrible and short bed nails and this tutorial helped me so much. I now look at nails more in an engineering mode so I can build a stronger nail before I add my acrylic nails. It makes so much sense. Thanks so much.
I found this video very helpful and enlightening. I myself am a nail biter and nothing is more frustrating than to have a nail tech tell me that I HAVE to have long nails. I like short/medium because its all I know. I have had techs refuse to shorten them to a certain length and its frustrating. So glad you can see it from both sides!
I'm obsessed with watching these videos. I could hardly wait to get home from work and get relaxed before bed by watching the videos again! Such talent and so relaxing. Thank you!
As a nail biter who has a difficult time keeping my nails "long" (aka showing more than a tiny bit of white on the tips) whenever I attempt to grow them out, I wish I could find someone who could do this to my nails!!
Madelyn Casselman Ask around , if you see somebody who has nail extensions and you think they look good just ask hun i am sure that person wouldn't mind telling you. i get asked about mine all the time, even though i do them myself and the nail art and i never mind anybody asking, visit salons and ask if they would do your nails that way, any good salon will tell you they can as it is no different to sculpting nails with a form for acrylic or gel. Don't be afraid to see if they can they won't bit sweetie. I hope you girls do just that, show me a picture when you get them done, always nice to see others work.
cuuuute i broke my habits as a nail biter!! by having a brace lol.. there were no room to bite them with my brace wires thing.. so I stopped biting my nails and use the clippers instead, that was over 6 years ago
She has her own nail channel now.. she's also a judge for competition and she is doing a lot of others things too like have her nail brand products etc.. you can find her on youtube her name is Gemma Lambert. Sorry for my bad english 😉
OMG that is amazing. I didn't know that u can do that for ppl who have smaller nails. Just watching this video made me cringe a bit coz I got my nails done for the first time in my entire life for my cousin's wedding and I think the lady filed my natural nail bed too much coz after she applied fake nails, my nails hurt for few hours. I don't think that's natural for it to hurt. So based on that experience alone, I have never even visited a salon ever again. So jealous of the women who actually get it done coz it looks amazing. Loved this video...made it seem so easy
vancitygurl Yes some nail technicians can file too much of the natural nail bed and they become very sensitive but don't let that one place put you off, explain in the next salon you visit and if they are good they will give you answers and not just fob you off, we are not all like that i promise. Hope you can get them dome again and have some beautiful nail art too. x
Im studying cosmetology but my teacher works with people who have a nail edge :( She never had a client with no nail edge or that bites their nails to the extreme. When I apply the plastic tips on nails with no edge It does not last ... and I practice with different people but I don't have the nail forms (which in my country are hard to find)
vancitygurl actually if they were sore it could've been from how rough she was with your nails when filing, not necessarily the amount she filed just how hard she did it. That's actually really common for people who rarely get their nails done so don't worry about it too much. Just find a new place and tell them to be more gentle and you should be fine.
if too much nail has been filed then the nail bed will be very sore, i have had lots of clients come to me about going to certain salons and they have filed the natural nail too much, but many people will not complain about those salons so they keep going which is awful. but as i said not all technicians are like that thankfully. the other thing that they can do f they are rough is cutting your fingers and cuticles while filing or using a electric nail drill, its a shame you do not have to have a licence to be a nail technician. all the best with your cosmetology gameremo, i hope you pass with flying colours and have a great career from it.
Anna Marie hey thanks for letting me know that it was normal. It was my first time getting my nails done and perhaps the last. I think the lady was pretty rough when filing my nails. And I didn't know better so I didn't say anything when she was doing it either. Now I know...thanks hun
In japan, this is how they always do acrylic nails regardless of length. I think it turns out nicer looking, versus gluing on a false tip and then applying acrylic.
I went with my sister to a nail salon and while we were waiting, a customer that has just left, came back in with a broken, bleeding toe nail that she had just done, She said she hit the sidewalk and broke her fake toenail due to the paper thin sandals she got after pedicure. So the owner "fixed" it by cleaning the blood and applying fresh acrylic on the open wound!!!! Not professional at all. The customer was yelling and crying of how painful that was and she said if she would have know the "professional" was going to do that she wouldn't have asked her to fix it lol. Btw they were taking care of 2 customers in intervals, filing someone's nails and leaving them waiting so they could go rub someone else's feet. All that without washing their hands!!! We got out of there immediately.
thats because the lady is excellent at her job and knows what shes doing!! I'm a nail tech and I usually only do my own but I'd let her do my nails anyday of the week!!
+pauline lockett yes u can put acrylic nicely on toes even if there is no natural nail at all left...but let it be done by someone u know is very professional and works with certificated Produkts :-)
OMG this was the first video I saw of you on 2014 and after seeing your news videos I got like... oh I have saw this old video before but I want to see it again and amazingly it's you !
I was just thinking that. I've heard people talk shit about nail techs as if their job is the easiest thing in the world but this is like magic. Pure skill.
when she did the 'cover pink' at 2:59, after that can you just leave it like that? I've been really interested in getting acrylics like this done I think they are extremely pretty but I play basketball and netball a lot, (like 5 times a week) so any kind of nail length immediately gets broken or torn off and I never see the point of getting nails done if i know the slightest movement of my hand will pop the nail off. So is it possible to just have the 'cover pink done' and make it very short and just leave it like that?
wow! you're one of the few that knows how to make fake nails look like real nails. I see so many that just pile on the acrylic or whatever it's called and the nails just look horribly thick and gawdy.
I realize this is an old video, but it was very helpful!! Going to do my sister's acrylics in a week and was hoping to find a video for reference, since she is a nail biter and has very short nails with no room to put a form on. This was just what I needed! ^^
Girl u did tht nail, it’s jst the way a nail shud look. Not 2 wide nor curving up like ski jump nails but having a slight curving dwnwards, lookn vry elegant an natural lookn, 👍🏽
Ikr! I live in ny and they don't take the time to file or anything like that :( that's why I don't go to nail salons..when I went there once they did a really nice design but it lasted for 2 days. 😔😢
+JustOrdinaryMarMar I once paid for French nails with manicure assuming it was cuticle cutting and hand massage etc. the lady put my fake nails, didn't file and sent me to wash my hands. After I did and came back to her, she was already doing someone else's nails and told me that she was done, when I told her I paid for a full manicure, she pumped the cheapest lotion on my hands and told me to rub it. No cuticles done, no filing, buffing, cuticle vitamin or hand massage etc. I asked for a refund and the "manicurist" approached me and rubbed more lotion on my hand while I was standing at the counter and said, there I'm done! WTF.!! Never again lmao
I wish I could find someone like this in America... I had to have acrylics for a pageant and my nails are very brittle and I lost a tip in a day and ended up going on stage with like half of my nails missing. Then if that wasn't bad enough, one of my thumb nails actually split because of the acrylic... so someone who can do this in my area would be much appreciated
Yeah, I agree with you! I bite my nails.... pretty bad... I hate the fact that I bite my nails, though I cant help it! I want at least nails that past my finger. that wouldn't be too long. im way too young for my nails to look the way they do, my middle fingers are the worst of them all. America should have people who do this, if they don't already...
Asia Williams because it will cost too much and american don't want to spend a lot on nails. They want cheap and fast, so thats what people are bringing to them. This would at least cost more than $70 for it and would take about 1.5 hours to do.
That's a ridiculous exaggeration. It'd probably cost $60-$70 and take 2-3 hours to do a full set. Acrylic Nails in the U.S. Cost $25-$50 and take 1-2 hours to do a full set.
it looks so real! I don't even know why I watched it, I wouldn't have the patience to sit there and do that. just out of curiosity though is it expensive to get it done?

Naio Nails it's very nice but how to remove

Yes, lets all move to the UK bc they do nails better
I wish too. I wish I could have her address. I would have go to her nail salon any time I visit UK
Mdew105 not every nail tech does this
In the uk not a lot people do this style
i would do this. but i wouldve laid a clear base down first before extending the nail bed cause now if she hits it, the only thing keeping it together is that top layer of acrylic and the white tip could just snap off since it isnt "sandwhiched" between two clear layers.

this is the very first video that began my acrylic addiction 😅 now, a year later, I'm doing my own, and my friends and families nails! thank you for the inspiration and the wonderful knowledge you've transferred to me
Wow!!! I'm amazed at how you created that nail. The final look was flawless! Come teach people in the USA how to do it. Haha!!
People in the USA know how to do this, you just need to go to a good salon
Seriously!! Most Salons out here suck!!
Yes hun go to the proper salon
They do, I've seen it done before.
***** You really do get what you pay for in the nail industry - if you want good technique and sanitation you need to pay for it
this technique needs to be used everywhere! When they use the plastic tips on nails that are this short, it makes the smile line super low on the nail... and in my opinion, it causes the fingers to look clubbed... this fixes the problem and looks great!

That was brilliant. Your words were sparse and meaningful and the actions were not over the top. There was no music and I could here perfectly.
Very satisfying to watch her spread the acrylic like butter so niiice
Hallie Jallie What you feel is called ASMR. Watch ASMR Darling on youtube it's very relaxing

oh my god thank you so much. i have a horrible nail biting habit and i am extremely self concious because of my hands
I know how you feel bro ; - ;
Yep.... I've been without biting them a week then 2 mins later whoa... where the heck did my nails go.....
+Willow Gritzmaker same because I bite them but I'm trying to grow them out at the moment
SAME!
You are not alone 😔
Excellent, excellent video. Thanks so much for sharing. I really wish I was living in the U.K.
OMG this was the first video I saw of you on 2014 and after seeing your news videos I got like... oh I have saw this old video before but I want to see it again and amazingly it's you !
Anyone who tries to say that being a nail artist is some frilly nonsense job clearly has no idea the level of skill involved.
lotusfae
lotusfae I totally agree!
I have always said that my nail tech is like a little artist and she has 10 canvases to play on😄😊...
lotusfae who even says that!
@@cynthiabrogan9215 asian parents....
I was just thinking that. I've heard people talk shit about nail techs as if their job is the easiest thing in the world but this is like magic. Pure skill.
wow is very very amazing!!
when she did the 'cover pink' at 2:59, after that can you just leave it like that? I've been really interested in getting acrylics like this done I think they are extremely pretty but I play basketball and netball a lot, (like 5 times a week) so any kind of nail length immediately gets broken or torn off and I never see the point of getting nails done if i know the slightest movement of my hand will pop the nail off. So is it possible to just have the 'cover pink done' and make it very short and just leave it like that?
Sure! I don't see why not. This was probably meant for someone who wanted French tips but if you don't you can leave it like that just fine
xPooogle515 awesome! thanks a lot! where can i get this stuff though? what's it called I want to do it at home myself, would be so cool!
***** alright, thank you!
+Magdalena Gramala she has a website with all the products
cool and I Enjoyed your video😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍O:-)
Hi, I'm from JPN manicurelist and I have INA AAA so,,, I knew this care!! wow, I did not know this pinch tool!! Thanks update!! Love.
wow! you're one of the few that knows how to make fake nails look like real nails.
this video was how i found asmr i love her voice and the accent is warm and friendly
Girl u did tht nail, it’s jst the way a nail shud look. Not 2 wide nor curving up like ski jump nails but having a slight curving dwnwards, lookn vry elegant an natural lookn, 👍🏽
Gorgeous no one in New York would ever take the time to do this :(
+Marie Serr wow that's terrible, even worse customer service!
konnichiwa its not that bad.at some places but not always. (i live there)
+Marie Serr Oh my goodness that's horrible. That's why my friends and I do each other's nails.
America should have people who do this, if they don't already...
jaidyn gurnitz I don't bite my nails, they're just thin and weak. I can't do much about them.
oh, well maybe you could look up something on Google that could tell you something that would thicken them out....?
It's called free form. I found it on google answers and they had this video on it
Come to me in Sarasota, Fl. I would LOVE to do your nails for your pageant and guarantee none will fall off!!!
2019??😋😋😋
2020??
The process is randomly satisfying to watch... lol
No salons in the us do this 😖
Asia Williams What state you live in? lol.
I saw someone replied, but I can't see your comment!
To answer the question though: I live in Ohio
What state do you live in ?
Asia Williams
because it will cost too much and american don't want to spend a lot on nails.
Omg this is what I been wanting and I can't find anyone that does a great job like this it looks like a natural nail I want my nails done like this
That's just beautiful!
