They look like they're going like 30 MPH...it looks boring, dirt late models, sprints and midgets are fun to watch on dirt, these cars aren't, they work better on paved tracks.
this kind of racing is pointless to me. the track is slick as ice and the cars are slower than snow. but my question is ......why can the track be this smooth for this kind of race, but on a regular weekly race its rough and rutty ?? i like the track , but i dot think putting asphalt cars on dirt is smart, especially when the track is slick as ice. POINTLESS. leave some moisture in the track so the cars can get some traction and actually race. this is not good racing at all. even Nascar does so much better with putting dirt on Bristol. they were so much faster and the racing was better as long as the track held moisture. i think when they run this series on this track they should allow the mini stocks to run with them. the mini stocks would lap these guys several times during the race. these comments are just my opinion. if your opinion is different than mine thats fine, post your own comments. i just ask that you dont bash me for feeling how i feel .
Prepping for an asphalt race on dirt and a dirt race are two completely different things. Windshields, suspension travel, available tires, etc make it unique.
I dont think those other classes of cars would be any faster on this slick surface. its not pointless. its simply a different style of racing where guys need to know the limits of how much power they can put down before spinning out. there was plenty of exciting moments regardless of how fast it looks.

There should be a 4 cyl, thunderstock and sprint car out there with them just to show you how slow these cars are on this surface.
