Does anybody remember the old Jakalope website with the "petri dish?" They had an ambient song that played, using samples from this song while you played this odd game. I wish I could find that track.
The floating things in the jars that moves if you clicked on them too. Was so cool! Damn I miss the 2000's music era with Myspace which was all about music basically, band websites, band fan street teams and website forums or even just the bands myspace which had all of that and concert dates and shit. I feel like we as society kinda ditched Myspace for Facebook suddenly when it didn't deserve that. lol It then got the "That's so last year" treatment and shunned. Poor Tom my oldest and most loyal Myspace friend. lol
Still one of my favorite songs to this day. As a fan of both industrial music and pop music, it feels like Jakalope was created to appeal to me. The music , Katie's vocala and the fantastic video grabbed me immediately and I listen to it (and their other tracks) every week.
Trent Reznor is credited as the producer for the album, however this was not him in the video. He would have been very bulky and muscular around this time while on the BYIT tour with Nine Inch Nails. Not trolling on you, just pointing it out.
