I tried to create a ressurection jar 🍃 based on this video from Father Fish - • Master Aquarist Secret... . However, everything went wrong... I even attempted to babtize myself in the river. So, go ahead, watch me strrugle and have a better day. 😎

I wish you have seen me in the morning when I woke up checking how my new video is doing and seeing comments from you. 🤩I have two aquariums at home ready for redesign, and I was thinking of trying your method - since my very first 20l aquarium is currently running for 2,5 years with mud and gravel as a substrate. I had no idea what I was doing back then, but it turned out really good. I am so looking forward to do it properly! Thanks again for your comments, it means a lot

Love that you can laugh at yourself. Imagining the dogs thoughts as he watches you "what r you doing, silly human? Do you want to get wet or not?" My random pond jars always smell wretched, usually starting within 24 hours. But, there's plenty of critter action. Supposedly, we have the states highest fecal content in the local river due to farm run off. You've peaked my interest, perhaps there's a way... Thanks for sharing, excited for future content!
So funny, I just made the same trip to our local forest preserve and when collecting sample, slipped into the water! I have a plastic box with sample and airstone and light and hope to grow daphnia after a month. Good luck!

Happened to me as well, water turns black.. mine releases foul smell, doesnt it happen with yours?
Mine did not. The second one I tried smelled bad, the first one just looked bad 😄🙉 But I recently tried a new source, waiting how it turns out. 🤞

It is still on my window, but nothing interesting is going on. However, I tried a new one. I will upload a new video soon and there will be a quick update on my ressurection jars in the end of it, so you can check it :) It is winter here as well so I have to wait with another attempts, but I will definitely try to build an aquarium using his method. Can’t wait to try it out 😊

I mean doesn't he mention putting a handful of "mud" first? you need mud in a resurrection jar, then some leaves and branches. wish you luck on your next try.
Hi there! You are the first stranger to comment on my video! 😄😍Actually from 2:40 he talks about it and says you should not use a mud, because it is too rich in nutrients for such a small container… but maybe I did not have enough of the other stuff.🤷♀️😄
@@PlantFishPeace watched it again and you are right, you would possibly be more successful with mulch not mud. I came across your channel while I was looking for other people with resurrection jars. I commented because I realized your channel was starting up and wanted to motivate you for more vids. I also tried to start my own jar after watching yours and the lake I visited was muddy with no visible plants of leaves. I thought it would be dead. still got a handful of mud and filled the rest with water. no leaves, no plants, it was a bummer I thought nothing would live in it. now I have hundreds of water boatman and an incredile tubifex colony. I spend more time watching little wigglers than my aquariums. I'm scared of those water boatman as they can be noisy and they can fly. can't wait to try my second jar from a different source (and also your next video)
Same here - I have created a jar, but can see only two dafnias after several days :-D What about the update and your second jar?

@@PlantFishPeace Zdravím. Dnes jsem založil další tři sklenice, ale zatím se tam tedy nehýbe vůbec nic, tak uvidíme :-D Ale jestli to chápu správně, tak by výsledky měly být vidět nejdřív za pár dní. Z první sklenice se stala taková podivná močůvka...
