I remember the old speedruns would completely skip the Grappling Hook. I'm not surprised to see that it's a pressure point for some serious glitchy shit.
Places where you can save warp to your save egg after each power up/upgrade to get the best time 1. Eribu: 1st save after Nova weapon 2. Zi: Save room before Kur after Hi Jump Boots and Health Node, and lab coat after Uruku 3. Kur: Save room before Gir-Tab after grappling beam, and power node 4. Ukkin-Na: save room before Hallucination area after health node, and trenchcoat 5. Edin: Save room at the 2nd tower after adress bombs, health, node, power node, and drone teleport 6. E-Kur-Mah: Save room before exploable area to get sudran key and redcoat This method can be used to beat the game under 4 hours to earn the overclocked achievement
Amazing stuff, can you explain how you do the tricks at 24:35 and 25:26? For the first one I keep getting stuck in the lava while the second one I get trapped in the hole beneath the door and having to reset.
At 24:35 the area right below the lava is "out of bounds". If you send the drone down there the game sends it to the last valid coordinates, which I set in Edin right before I died. So I set those coordinates in Edin and warp to them in Kur by going out of bounds down there. The trick at 25:26 is extremely difficult and took me hours of practice to get it consistently. You need to hold lock, jump, grapple the ceiling at a specific frame and then enter the door on the next frame. No idea why it works, but it does. You can thank @rarebeeph1783 for discovering that one.
Hello! I was learning this game myself but I can't seem to understand the zip at 24:30 to the enhanced drone launcher. Can someone explain what it is he's doing so I can try myself. Plus I can't seem to get the uhku skip because when I crouch and double up press and phase in I get locked in spot ready for the floating light things to f me up. Any help would be appreciated
hey @Bluey Lewis I was playing Axiom verge today and a weird glitch happened after entering the Xedur Hul fight. It seemed like I dashed right before entering the room and I kept dashing during the boss animation, so when it finished I was already at the end of the room. I don't know how I did it, but I thought I'd share this so it might help you if you can figure out how to do it.
Hey! This is actually a known glitch. it's pretty easy to perform, just have to dash at the right time while entering a boss room. However we speedrun with vsync turned off which allows us to get slightly higher damage output. For whatever reason when you turn vsync off it makes this particular glitch almost impossible to do consistently. Even if you know the right frame to enter the door it's still completely random if we can get it or not. But in the end it only saves a couple seconds.
Don't know if you figured it out but he pushes himself as close to the wall as possible. Locks his position with lock function, looks up while facing the wall. Jumps and grapples at the apex of his jump and quickly changes his facing direction to the right and clips right through. It's super tough. Just learning to run the game because it needs way more love
20:11 dude
23:20 DUUUDE
25:26 come one man you're killing me
These glitches are insane
bruh but he playing on normal lol,
if this was hard he would have been three shoted in the athos fight, he got hit like so many times with the kilver
@@NeostormXLMAX fun fact, enemies only do 10% increased damage in hard mode! i.e., very little difference.
The telal skip wouldnt be possible on hard

I didnt believe the time of the video when I found this. It took me 17 hours to beat the game for my first time!
I was parranoid of the enemies in E-Kur-Mah

Bluey my man!! Been getting back into AV after all this time, genuinely this is a crazy speedrun. Super good job my dude. Hope you’re well! :)
Doing great man! Always happy to hear from you. How have you been?
@@blueylewis9419 been awesome man, let’s def catch up some more soon, life’s been crazy! So great to hear from you man :)
Metroid on drugs
Metroid is my fav character. He fights jellyfish and doesn't afraid of anything 🙂

Damn, that was an amazing speed run
First 15 minutes I was like this is good but doesn't seem that crazy..and then I was promptly proven wrong yikes crazy last half great job
How does that screen wrapping glitch work going into Vision? That was crazy.
Ok, it seems to have something to do with the grappling hook. Awesome!
This run shows why the community should make seperate categories like any% glitchless. The major glitches are out of controll in this one....
You get over with an area before the music even gets to the cool bits, amazing
Is that why the Athetos calls us 'demon'? That was pretty insane!
20:11 wtf?
Damn! 🤘 Nice job
so the TAS is pretty outdated now?
haha a bit yeah

how'd you walk backwards out of the save rooms? can't find anything about it online
Saw it mentioned in an axiom verge 2 video. Hold right while spawning and then hold left when you get up and you can moonwalk?

how does the glitch at 23:25 work?
Hold down on the keyboard to kneel, and using a controller updash at the same time. Then mash printscreen while you walk left.

Isn't your Best Time better than this run?
yeah my best time was a run where i was messing with the in-game cheat codes
How you cant teletrasport with the drone
I got a 12:36 speed run sadly I was not recording
Not a true speedrun if you save
