Yang Sze, better known as Bolo Yeung, is a Chinese former competitive bodybuilder, martial artist and a martial arts film actor, was born on July 3rd, 1946 in Canton, China. Primarily cast as the villain in the movies he stars in, he is best known for his performances as Bolo in Enter the Dragon, as Chong Li in Bloodsport, and for his numerous appearances and long-spanning career in the martial arts filmography for Hong Kong's motion picture industry.

Always thought Bolo was a great villain, been watching him since I was a kid. When he did the chest flex in double impact I got chills. I'm 43 now and when I rewatch it I still do. Dude's a LEGEND.

Yeung met Bruce Lee while the two were filming a Winston cigarettes commercial. A friendship emerged and Lee invited him to star in Enter the Dragon, after which he became known as "Bolo", the name of the character he portrayed. The two became close friends during the filming of Enter the Dragon, in which Lee and Yeung worked very closely on technique training. Yeung once stated in an interview, many years after Lee's death, "There will never be another Bruce Lee; I am privileged to have had the honour of calling him my friend."
After seeing Bolo in Bloodsport I really got into weightlifting/bodybuilding. He wasn’t cut up or ripped but I was in awe of his overall size and especially his massive upper body. IMO he is best martial arts movie villain and also one of the all time best movie villains period. I was terrified for Van Dam before he was about to fight Bolo in Bloodsport. Bolo had the “it” factor as a merciless, indestructible, killer.
Yeah and in double impact he was a beast and a real bad guy.... Still watch the fight on the ship but he used too many barrels, we needed more bolo

I'm probably just old, but this guy was the scariest villain during my youth. He never said anything during the movie but he would just stare at his opponent and randomly flex his chest followed buy throwing something extremely heavy.

....When I was young watching him as the bad guy, oh my goodness he's like freaking bad ass and I thought how would any good guy beat this guy? Bolo is a legend, an actor in our time we will never forget. He makes the movie 10x excitement because of his nonverbal communication but his look is bad ass. Glad he is doing well with his family.

Bolo in his prime was a great villain. Although from what I have seen he is one of the nicest people you would ever meet. Very down to earth nice guy. Yet his body building and his size always cast as the villain.
I ran into Bolo once while in Hong Kong. He was just walking down the street by himself in Central and I had to stop him to say "Hello" and tell him that I enjoyed him in movies. He was kinda surprised to be stopped like that but he was very polite and spoke with me for a bit. I think he was a little shy because his English wasn't so good (as if I could speak Cantonese!). Too bad this was before there were smart phones because I would have loved to have taken a selfie with Bolo!

Bruce Lee was one in a billion. It did not matter ho big you are or strong or how many techniques someone knew. Bruce with his amazing quickness could hurt anybody, period.
Pre-Covid I use to see him all the time at either Monterey Park LA Fitness or Alhambra LA Fitness. I can't believe how short he is..he looks monstrous in his movies. Said hi to him once he didn't even acknowledge me, so that's that.

Man in my 20's I used to go to the gym in Alhambra, and on day so me one tapped me on my back and asked if he could jump in with me. When I turned around it was Bolo. I was very humbled and honored.
