I definitively understand your speaking better than the spanish subtitles even if spanish is a language i'm fully fluent on an english not just at 100% yet. But the try is definitively apreciated and for spanish speaking people who is wave more trouble understanding english than me could still be helpful and a better option to enjoy your videos.
maybe this is a weird take but I kinda liked your "professor of One Piece' lounge atmosphere that came through just by seeing how nicely palleted and furnished your house was, but I only subbed very recently So many TH-camrs/twitch streamers have the purple LED background vibe, and I get why people do it because it's simple to put up, vibrant, and it doesn't have to dominate a multipurpose space all the time since you can just turn the LEDs off when you're not filming But there's still this part of me that wants to see you in a big lush leather lounge chair, smoking a wooden tobacco pipe, and telling me about how the raid is going to fail
I don't know Morj... I like the setup but it doesn't suit your channel in my opinion. I always associated your channel with warm colors: red, yellow, orange and brown. This purple/blue light you have now looks too much like so many other setup I've seen, especially of Twitch streamers.

Kaido is already the most menacing and badass villain and he hasn’t gotten a flashback yet. As for his underlings Queen, Ulti, and Who’s who are the most intriguing. I can’t wait to see what Oda does with King, especially with his race
King's race scene is still one of my favorite moments in the whole arc so far Big Mom wanted him to join her, despite the conflict And King is probably the last of his kind, with how Big Mom describes it
I don't think Kaido needs a flashback. I think Crocodile is still the best villain in One Piece and he never got a flashback. I think it would be best if Oda alluded more to what happened with Rocks without showing us exactly what happened.
I am actually really intrigued by Jack. He was introduced as a no brained bruiser. But as Wano has continued he's shown it's really loyalty and dedication. His shit talking has also decreased, which makes sense as he's been pretty humbled by the minks, and clearly acts subordinate under his superiors like King, Queen and Kaido
Jack was never a shit-talker. He seemed so, at first, because we didn't know Raizo was there (or that the mink knew and were protecting him), and so Jack comes out as irrational, ruthless. Made him seem just like a brute grunt. But when we get the view that Raizo was being protected, that Inuarashi and Nekomamushi are Kouzuki retainers, we see that Jack wasn't irrational, he was just sure that Raizo was there and was just impatient. The point is, how he presented himself in Zou makes a lot more sense when you see he that he knew minks were their enemies, not just a isolated nation. I don't see him as a shit-talker, I see him as someone who goes straight to action.
That was actually in the back of my mind for a long time now. The Big Mom Pirates felt a bit more threatening than what we see from the majority of the Beast Pirates. Remember that time when Luffy defeated Cracker? The incoming Big Mom forces really felt like they're really going to screw Luffy real bad.
I think it's more like Luffy leveled up so much from his fight from katakuri that the same level of threat in the beast pirate crew can't quite match up to him now. All of the big fighters in the SH crew also got good powerups too prior or in Wano itself. So, the Tobi Roppo who could have been Cracker level of threat instead is only as powerful as the high tier doflamingo family members.
@@goldmemberpb What I mean is how Oda portray the enemy. The Beast Pirates prior to the Zou arc where portrayed as tough and battle-heavy opponents based on how Oda draw their mob crew. Jack embodied that really well. But the lower ranks felt like flies where you could just swat them. Compared to the lower ranks of the Big Mom where even if they are weak, they could hold on on their own. The numbers have such intimidating introduction but didn't really live up to our expectations. So far only Kaido and King feel like they are a threat. Only Kaido felt like an obstacle. It felt like the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai alliance is actually the more powerful force rather than the latter.
@@justaway6901 I think it's just that the SH are way more powerful then people thought. That and little bit of luck goes a long way in neutralizing big threats like some of the Tobi Roppo. The numbers are disappointing definitely. Pretty much all of them got OHKO'd. Maybe some of the numbers we have not seen are more formidable. Maybe they have devil fruits or smile fruits.

It's a shame you didn't mention Doflamingo's family more because I think they might be one of the better established teams post timeskip. Kaido and Big Mom have their standouts but like you mentioned a lot of their members were just kind of thrown at us en masse with no context to their strength for the sake of having overwhelming numbers which falls flat to me. I think Doffy's gang also had a lot more interesting powers even if some of them didn't use them the best. Pica alone feels like he could have beaten the majority of the people we've seen in Wano and he felt so much more threatening on a large scale the guy literally changed the shape of the city on his own and could have killed the entire allied force alone probably.
@@bigt100 Thinking about it maybe it's just Oda's thing to focus primarily on a few of the team and elevate them and let the others just kinda sit there. We really only get to know 2, 3, Bon Clay, and I guess techically Robin the rest are pretty much one and done. I don't know if I can even remember them all. But as far as pre timeskip goes you can't beat CP9 like he mentioned in the video.

@Amarion Dilworth He did but I feel like he ignored them in the end simply because Doffy wasn't an emporer but to me that doesn't mean much. Kaido and Big Mom's crew are just worse overall in my opinion.
As an Ulti fan, I gotta say that Black Maria is quite underrated both as an antagonist and as a powerhouse. She knows where to hurt you the most, both physically and mentally, and it’s amazing how fast and agile she is while being 8+ metres tall! The only ones that “disappointed” me were Who’s Who and Sasaki but that mostly because there were skipped. The Beast Pirates as a whole are kinda like Croco’s gang in the New World. All have their unique personalities and fighting style, but with the difference that the Beast Pirates are on a whole different level. I really liked that Oda focused on the women this time, both sides have an interesting female cast!
Who’s Who and Sasaki were just used to show off the strawhats really and im kinda meh about it, i feel like they were hyped up for no reason now but honestly its what the fans kept asking for and Oda gave it so ig i cant really say much because people have been crying about the strawhat fights not being set up like pre TS with everyone getting a battle, and i feel Oda wants to finish the arc by the end of the year so he couldnt flesh out those fights to atleast make them look High-diff

Imo kaido’s “crew” ,which is made up of people who’ve collectively had their wills to fight broken when their crews were murdered, lack the ability to put up a decent fight since they don’t really have much to fight for other than placement in the tobi ropo
That's sounds so sad also it reminds of the call back when Zoro got confronted by a bunch of Gifters and some of them had dreams but ended getting crushed along with their wills when they joined the Beasts Pirates. Really shows that they're not completely loyal but only follow out of fear and to stay alive.
That's the reason that I think Luffy only needs to stagger Kaido to "win". Once the narrative of Kaido's invincibility is undermined in clear view of his subordinates, his entire crew/army will abandon him in an instant
Wish we got to see this more during the war. Most of the Beast Pirates just seem like average goons (even the ranked ones), but if we got moments of resentment towards Kaido or faltering will that would definitely hammer home some cool themes.
The problem with the captains is the same problem I have with the Wano arc as a whole - a lot is established but there's not much of any individual character payoff. Just events being dealt with. It's like a whole tin of sawdust pie.
I just wanna say that Doflamingo's flashback heavily contributed to his crew's legacy in the story. I just hope that in Kaido's flashback we will have enough time to focus on the beast pirates too, not only on Rocks and Yamato
I don't know why but kaido does feel like the biggest enemy of the mugiwaras so far, and Everytime he appears in a panel it's memorable BUT the scape from Whole Cake island feel much more dangerous than the onigashima raid, maybe it's because everyone was so positive and confident that Luffy will guide the alliance to the victory, and in whole cake everyone was ready to go kamikaze against the big Mom pirates if the situation required to.
Its different scales. WCI Luffy is simply much weaker than Luffy in wano (as of chapter 1021). You have all the straw hats and huge alliance backing up a Luffy that was able to solve most of the weakness that were shown in WCI. This makes us feel more confident in main cast and supporting characters abilities (and we are meant to, otherwise this war could not be comparable to marineford, let alone surpass it).
@@MigsCor21 you're probably right, but for me the only element missing in wano is that one, a bit of danger, maybe that's why thinking the raid would end in failure is so appealing to me and many others. And for me wano since the prison mutiny all the way to the raid it's more enjoyable than marineford, the only thing missing is the Marines (but hey CP0 and SWORD are already in onigashima)
Oda should have set up the competition to become an all-star in the first act of Wano and shown the tobbi roppo going after the scabbards to gain Kaido's aproval
Remember Orochi was the main villain in act 1 with big bad powerful Kaido looming in the distance… Orochi weasel like nature could never summon let alone order the Tobbi Roppa. We are supposed to see Kaido cunning cold nature in him betraying Orochi(ironic)
The tobi ropo got slept so fast I cant consider them memorable. Cp9 will probably always be the most memorable group for me. I was a big fan of how the 1v1s went that arc and how each straw hat was given there specific "man" and each antagonist gave the opposing protagonist a challenge. That feeling of "this is your opponent, beat them" hasn't been recreated since enis lobby and I really like that route since it gives each crew member a stage to pull their own weight.
Surprisingly Ulti was the most Memorable, just due to her taking so many Oneshot techniques and getting back into action. But Kraker gave off a better sense of Threat than all of the Tobi Ropo.
big problem was is the story kind of wasted to much of there time and there weaker then jack who has constantly been used as a punching bag plus the tobi ropo as a group are completely unable to resist even just kaido alone
@@scottgrasser9475 There is nothing wrong with being a punching bag its necessary for the story. Also If you think about it Kaido is a bit of a Punching bag himself, He has been captured several time meaning his lost several times, his was almost beaten by Oden and was chased off by Shanks.
It all comes to expectations. I was expecting Jimbei to win comfortably, so his fight makes sense, but I was expecting Franky to have a very hard battle. We'll see what Oda has planned.
Franky did have a difficult fight. The entire shogun got wrecked which survived a lot of crazy attacks beforehand. Franky also had to resort to both the portable gao cannon AND his laser attacks to damage Sasaki.
@@goldmemberpb Yeah, Franky had to use his strongest weapons (and now would need to rebuild them).. if the enemy comes back even stronger there is nothing that he can do...especially since his main skills / assets are his weapons and all that. I think some people want him to go on a one on one fist fight...which is INSANE to me...since that battle clearly cannot be won. (and no, I'm not saying it would be hard...I'm saying it cannot be won)
i got the same feeling..his fight with Cp9 zipper guy felt longer and tougher..i felt the same thing with Robin's fight like it was too quick.. though i didn't felt that in Jinbe's win since he was a former Shichibukai
@@august6281 Robin's fighting style leads to quick finishes, which is why I was never on the "Oda is sleeping on Robin" camp in that regard because it's kinda impossible for her to have multi chapter slugfests. So reserving 1v1 combat for her was a good move in the long run because it just be either "she can take you out or she can't". The only other way is maybe a JoJo/HunterxHunter style battle but One Piece combat was never cerebral like that so I doubt Oda will try. Besides, she showcased cool new abilities here and what matters most are the character moments she got during it. And Franky didn't struggle against Fukuro at all honestly speaking, look back, the only reason it looked even early on was cause he was running empty on Cola, afterwards he wrecked bois shit pretty one sided.

For Big Mom pirates it seems Big Mom is a joke while her crew is a very threatening while for Beast Pirates Kaido seems to be very threatening while his crew was a joke.
If the fight isn't over yet, yes I think so. Kaido definitely feels like the most powerful character that's been in the story, but if the rest of his crew just loses I think theyll feel very underwhelming. Big Mom pirates felt way more threatening, although thats also just due to the nature of what WCI was about, not supposed to be a huge war
Answer: no, they have not been nearly as memorable as Baroque Works or CP9 and at this point it's too late. There was no group pose, no hyping them up, no story-filled fights (with the exception of Robin), no match-up update screens. Even the map for the fights is really vague and not as clear as in Alabasta or Enies Lobby.

The Big Mom pirates are the greatest villains currently in the series! There is a reason why Luffy fought two of the sweet commanders and no one else did, then had to run away from Big Mom the entire arc. At this point in the story, Luffy is choosing to fight Kaido but still running away from Big Mom, that says it all right there!
The sense of threat might pick up eventually. After all, Luffy still hasn't been able to beat Kaido yet. And the Strawhats will definitely still need some more development before they're ready to be the Pirate King's crew. But I think the point of these recent chapters, after all the hype that the Yonkou have gotten up to now, is to show us that the Strawhats really do belong here at "Yonkou crew level," and to do it in a way that highlights their development so far. Robin's fight especially drove this home, and I think there's more coming up.
Strength-wise: I think Kaido's crew is actually Yonko level when you consider their numbers (as in quantity), variability, arsenal, connections, and most importantly Kaido. But the individual strength of their members is probably the lowest of any Yonko crew. They are most likely the most unbalanced Yonko crew.
I agree 100% another person in the comments said something that would go along with this. They said kaidos crew is made up of people who have had their wills crushed by kaido. With will (haki) being such a huge factor in most one piece fights it would make sense for kaidos commanders to be weaker than most other yonko commanders which is y he has such a large crew to balance it out. This would also explain y kaido ran from shanks during marineford. Kaido might’ve been able to defeat shanks 1v1 but shanks+his crew> kaido+his crew. So kaido did the smart thing and retreated.
@@kingmanga8575 thing with most crews is there power tends to be very top heavy big moms crew most of its power is in the top 5 (her the sweet commanders and perospero) whitebeards was hard to say as at the war it was top 4 BUT he was missing blackbeard ace and thatch blackbeard has his 10 commanders but its unseen how strong they are and shanks has his commanders with it being unknown how strong they are or even overall crew size

But my main point is that kaidos crew in particular (primarily the Tobbi roppo and the all stars) r weaker than other yonkos commanders due to the fact that they r all characters with “broken” wills. With will/haki being such a big part of the story at this point I wouldn’t be surprised if kaido has some of the weakest commanders. It’s like they have a limit to their potential because of kaido breaking their spirits. This is only a theory tho there’s no telling if it’s true. It would explain how all of the tobbi roppo have been beaten fairly “easily” and how Marco was able to fight king AND queen at the same time while using his flames on the entire first floor.
@@paulromero2937 It's hard to gauge where Page 1 fits in the Tobi Roppo, but he and Oven both fared the same against Sanji, in that they were both outmatched, but were able to tank his hits. It's funny because I think Sanji is a good measuring stick for a lot of top level fighters. If you can keep up with Sanji and have attacks capable of hitting him, you are legit and "Commander level". But for pretty much the entire Tobi Roppo (minus maybe Drake), Oven, Daifuku, Jozu, Burgess, probably Diamante, all they could hope for is weathering out Sanji's attacks eventually, because I can't see most of them getting many shots off on him.
Jack is the most underrated one. People disrespect him just because he gets Ls. But look what he’s up against. He went up against the Admirals without a second doubt. Destroyed minks along with their kings. Fought against all minks in rooftop. He was down but for a moment. He got back up and fought Inuarashi. He is so fucking underrated.
I’ve recently heard Joy Girl’s theory which compared Wano to Thriller Bark and hypothesized how the Straw Hats will make it mostly fine to the roof top and they will protect Luffy in a sense until he lands the finishing blow (last time to Oars, now to Kaido) and they would be his “nine shadows” to correlate to the prophecy. Going off of this idea, it would make a bit of sense if the Tobi Roppo was like Moria’s henchmen then and while they have some somewhat memorable fights, are inevitably the roadblocks to the final showdown.
Bruh the arc has been pretty bad so far, if that happens then this arc will officially be trash outside of a handful of good moments JUST LIKE THRILLER BARK WAS

It’s normal for him to rely on his crew for some help, especially since we were just shown Robin and Sanji helping each other by swapping enemies. I think if he beats Kaido after this time, it can be good, but it could be more impactful if he lost to Kaido *again*. I’m merely saying the crew will be doing to whether, what Yamato did alone. Inevitably, it’s just a theory and food for thought.
I'm not gonna lie, i'm extremely disappointed by them, even Black Maria. This is a Yonkou crew and yet they feel less threatening than CP9 in term of abilities. Most of them have just 1 or two named attack and a fire move. I won't even talk about what happened with Ulti and Page One, it's by far the most frustration i've had in the story for a while
Page One defeat was bs i agree but Ulti got destroyed by everyone. If she gets up again it will be stupid af. Black Maria pushed Robin to her limits which is evident at the end when she kneels down from exhaustion. Who Who was fighting Jimbei so i didnt expect much from him. I expected much more from Sasaki cuz i thought he is 2nd strongest if not the strongest. So in my opinion they were decent, not great, not bad but just decent.

I realy hope he gets up, but Ulti should stay down. She got up to many times already.
These tobi roppo fights need to continue. Robin vs Black maria could be done, but thats it. The rest were insanely short. Maybe its because I just started reading in Wano, but im sure the CP-9 fights felt longer than this. And yes, there is a million things going on in Wano, but these are the personalized straw hat fights weve been waiting for. I hope they pick back up and have a final part 2 to them.
I guess the different things to sort out in the Wano Arc overwhelmed Oda. There are so much things happening and so much point of view. And I personally felt like people are there just for the Straw Hats to defeat like some sort of fan service rather than an obstacle that's why it felt underwhelming. I just hope the editor make better pointers for Oda in the future. I just hope there's more to this. Surprise us Oda.
I really just think Oda needs a better editor he needs to pace things a little better but this has been a complaint of mine since Luffy's fight with Croc when we had chapters where literally 3 seconds of in world time would go by yeah......

@@Luffy-zj6vm Yeah they have these three names. I find it weird. At the beginning of Manga Wano People thought Jack was downgraded like Snack to an "All Star" because it Zou the Top 3 were called calamities. And people got confused.
The new setup looks very professional, but unfortunately I'm hearing a huge echo in the audio now. Hopefully you can do something with the mic setup or get some anti-echo stuff on the walls.
the tobi roppo looks cool in term of design, but the fights (so far) are a huge letdown considering that they were previously captains. as for right now, they pose 0 threats and all their abilities have no wow factor. the only fight that I am looking forward to is with king
On paper the beast pirates, at least the all stars are amazing but the extreme lack of tension and execution have been a bit disappointing.... at least outside of Jack.
Story-wise, King, Queen, and Who’s Who are really good. One is the last of his species. One is a former associate of Judge. One is a former CP9 agent. And Kaido is very important and may know who Joy Boy is supposed to be. On Big Mom’s crew, there’s Big Mom, Pudding, and Lola. Big Mom knows where Elbaf is and has history with Giants. Pudding could potentially read poneglyphs. And Lola was supposed to marry into Elbaf.
Yeah, this should have been the greatest challenge yet for the crew, instead beating the Tobi Roppo was easier that previous opponents. It feels like only Luffy is getting a proper challenge, while the others are winning without much problems and could even be ready for another round. Like, given how easy the Beast Pirates are going down I think the Strawhats could have beaten them even in Dressrosa, or even back in Fishman Island. It's not like Franky or Robin had the chance to grow stronger after Dressrosa, they should be pretty much the same, meaning that Sasaki and Black Maria would still loose even 250+ chapters ago.
@@lukerne9260 Black Maria, maybe but Sasaki? I think not. He managed to, not only inflict a damage, but destroyed the Shogun which no else have done until now. The reason why Franky won was because of the Shogun. Without it, I think, you can imagine how hard it is to win that fight. I'm pretty much disappointed on Black Maria and Page One.
@@akieeeeee he only damaged the shoulder, nothing impressive there. And the problem is Franky himself took 0 damage from this fight, and the Shogun just has a scratch on it's shoulder so it's not like we know that Franky would have been torn to pieces without it.
the problem with wano is the lack of development for the beastpirates in the first and second act, in the first act only kaido appeared and in the second only pageone... I think if they had used that time to treat the other characters better we wouldn't be getting to know them and there dynamic so hastily at the end of the third act.
The calamities so far specifically are kind of a disappointment for me. I like their characters but compared to Cracker and Katakuri none of them have been very impressive. Jack has only taken L's and hasn't even faced off against the straw hats themselves, Queen is going down fighting Sanji which is great for Sanji but I guess the most Queen acomplished was holding off Marco with King which was a fun fight but Cracker and Katakuri feel more overwhelming of a force and impressive in hindsight.
Dude that one panel with cracker making a biscuit solider army and the look of shock on luffy face literally should you the danger in the arc. Not mention every little thing katatkuri did was intimating. I agree right now sweet generals even with smoothies as a handicap are over the calamities for me.

I'm disappointed so far. If they don't get up and give the SH Crew a real beating... the arc does not do it for me. Wano is full of stuff... and yet it feels empty somehow.
Kaido is carrying that arc to me, but with the number of chapters we got I don't give a fuck anymore, I just want Sanji to shine against Queen, zoro having his final fight and most importantly, give a conclusion to most of the Onigashima plot lines (other fights, yamato's case, Momonuske, big mom, kid....)

Honestly, I think that the best pirates feel week, and it feels like the strawhats steamrolling an opponent that should be difficult. It's almost like Oda wants us to think they are strong only because they are a yonko crew without showing it. I can barely remember a scene when any of the other best pirates except Kadio have been displayed in a good light since the raid started. I love their design and personality, but without the feeling of danger, they are falling flat for me.
The setup is looking phenomenal! Glad your setup is improving. I would suggest to try to reduce the echo by using foam or something to avoid the sound to bounce on the walls.
At this point of the story I can't think of any way how Kaido is going to be better than Doffy. He needs that backstory to really become a great antagonist
He won't be. Power wise? Sure. But his flashback can't magically put Kaido on the top. Heck, even the pre ts Doffy without PH and Dressrosa build up was more captivating than current Kaido. I feel like Oda is going to use Kaido's past to reveal some history secrets and it will be a great piece of information on it's own but it won't save Kaido as a character much.
@@padrenuestre I think theres a small chance it can. Sure if you value charismatic characters, doffy is the obvious winner. Kaidos obsession's with death and why his character is like that, why he wants the war to start , why he wants yamato to become shogun can all lift his character to equal levels of doffy. Depends on how much focus we get on him, his personality and backstory. the 1010's really helped me like kaidos character alot but you're right in hes not equal to doffy yet, id put him katakuri or even lucci level right now.
@@bleachmaker12 the difference is that Doflanimgo was great from the very introduction and he never ceased to be great for YEARS OF READING, while with Kaido we still have to wait and hope, hope and wait that the flashback or whatever magic reveal will make him something more.

But I agree somewhat,Kaido should have had more focus in first 2 acts of the story. if Oda didn't spend so much time on the scabbards and more time on the tobi roppo and Kaido, the arc would've been much better imo. Still have it in my top 5 but idk if it can beat out marineford, enemies lobby or dressrosa
@@bleachmaker12 yeah Oda got too carried away with Oden, the scabbards and the other local suffering characters, should've paid more attention to the enemies instead. Idk if it has something to do with the fact that Wano is based on Japan and you just can't develop on the "oppressors" more or make them somehow more likable because someone might get offended.
Very good point about the lack of exposure for the Calamities. We saw Jack resort to bio weapons in Zou, and Queen got to suddenly fight Big Mom in Udon, which is hard to scale especially when she's had her rnemory lost as well. Now that you think of it, aside from knowing that it's a meritocracy based ranking system in Beast Pirates, we have no idea how strong King actually is and how much of a threat he poses.
Yea Definetly sums up my feelings of them, Kaido, The All Stars and the tobbi roppo are functionally the 10 strongest members in the crew now compare those to the top 10 in Big Mom's crew. Perespero defeated both brook and chopper without breaking a sweat, Oven was this literal force of nature surviving Kicks without any noticeable damage despite not being an ancient zoan and gunshot to the face, I have to wonder if I'm missing something here. King and Queen are being made light work off while Katakuri and Cracker seemed like mountains to overcome. Hawkins which started the arc intimidating lost to Law in like the middle of it and we're expected to be invested in him as an antagonist. Its just weird how they have been portrayed
That's why despite everything I feel like going into it they were more even in strength than we were led to believe. Luffy will have a yonko level crew by the end of wano

I find it difficult to reconcile the fact that ulti could be smacked around several times by yamato and big mom herself before finally going down (or is she...?), while the other dinosaur zoans tobbi roppo members would fall to single-shots from non-luffy strawhat members.
A huge part of their threat was their strength in numbers. They would've been much tougher to fight if not for Otama. Maybe with the arrival of the Big Mom Pirates, or if the kibi-dango wears off + some of the Tobiroppo coming back, we might up the difficulty. Oda isn't done with us yet.
That WCI would end with Big Mom going to Wano Put it out well before WCI ended, back when 99% of people were certain she would either be defeated in Whole Cake or be saved for Elbaf 2nd biggest is that advanced Conquerors Haki would be the key to defeating Kaido, put that out at a time when 100% of people believed the Wano arc was focusing on armament haki
The thing about not bringing up the threat of the Beast Pirate all stars. I think Whole Cake Island did that by showing us how strong commanders in general were. We’ve already seen what Commanders should be able to do
Loved the vid... The Beast Pirates are really disappointing so far and if the TobiRoppo are down for good they will be even less threatening than CP9 at the time. So far the Big Mom Pirates are the best group of antagonists for me, both character wise and even strength wise!
I think Oda could've used some of the Scabbards as "ladders" to build up the Tobi Roppos before the fights with the SHs. I mean, what Dejiro and Kawamatsu are individually doing in the raid? We could add up Ashura pretty "meh" bomb utility and boom! We have the three super-strong hidden scabbards from wano being kicked by Maria, Sasaki and Who's Who, for instance.
Tobbi roppo were a complete joke,they were hyped up for nothing. The were portrayed as strong crew members of a Yonko and they ended up getting destroyed by strawhats .Let's hope King,Queen and Jack make up for their incompetence.

But I do understand your frustration becausw I think what lacked in every fight was some scenes that show how tough the ancient zoans are.
@@King-2077 I don't think black Maria was underwhelming, going back we've had quite a bit from her, and 3 chapters for this fight (since I count 1005), also that fight was brutal as all hell, oda never does this for the girls of one piece so seeing robin all bloody holding her face really felt like damn, I do think robin was really challenged with that fight and black Maria is now one of my favorite members of the beast pirates, second favorite fight so far behind roof piece all imo (though Sasaki and page one are very disappointing to me, I think they may still get up along with whos who)
If the raid fails, I wish to see tobi roppo taking charge of different regions of Wano and strawhats defeating them in the respected regions. It is kind of feeling anticlimatic that an entire empire is getting defeated in a skull island. Dofflamingo family was split across the country and made more visually pleasing fights with many powers affecting the terrains(Diamante, Pica, Senor Pink, Gladius). Also, the citizens were watching when strawhats defeated the opponents. At the rate Wano is going, they will only witness Luffy vs Kaido final round and Momo holding up the Onigashima.
@@Archius There were 5 daimyos, now that was another disapointing thing about Wano, daimyos never mattered(other than Oden and Yasuie). I really don't know if Zoro's father was really one among them.
I think the issue with the Beast Pirates is they are supposed to be top heavy. Would anyone be shocked if Franky beat Opera or Mont’dor? No. The Tobi Roppo are hyped up to be more than the typical fodder. I think the Second tier of Straw Hats should be able to fight most of them. Sanji occupied Page One and got away pretty easily, so why wouldn’t Franky be able to beat someone equal, like Sasaki, with some effort. Ulti needed to be nerfed by Big Mom and Who’s Who was fighting a former Warlord. So it makes sense they got defeated after being hyped. I want to see the Calamities fight then I think things get more serious and dire. Jack has been impressive fighting two powerful opponents with a power up. So I’m excited to see the rest get serious.
I agree with most points of the video. Also i appreciate the spanish subs as someone fluent in that language but i still understand everything better while listening to you than reading the subs tho. I have a question related to the background light: The idea of having this type of purple light or other similar LED style is to be the norm in the channel from now on? Because it doesn't really fit too much imo with your style of videos. I kinda prefer just the classic style, or just try other alternatives if you don't want that.
The reason I feel black Maria seemed more challenging than say Sasaki is probably her actually showing an effect of her attacks. Thinking back to Kaku vs zoro it was a pretty silly fight but we were still shown how dangerous kaku's techniques were either through the environment (slicing a section of the tower) or characters (zoro evidently being cut up and having trouble). Black Maria was actually giving serious blows to Robin and had the room set on fire, she could have been even more menacing if we saw the poison actually work. Instead the fights being the strawhats figuring out how to take down a something shown to be a big threat, Were being told how dangerous the enemy is only to see them get their ass kicked 10 panels later.
important to remember that Big Mom's crew hasn't entered this battle at all yet, and all of them would be nearly undamaged, and possibly set up a "round 2" for the Straw Hats, possibly even re-setting up 1v1's with the tobi roppo AND the BM pirates when they catch up, and divert the SH crew's attention
i personally think this is what oda is trying to highlight with the beast pirate dynamic. That teamwork and trust will always win against people competing to try and aim for the top.
I will say the samurai alliance actually played this really well separating the enemies so there was no wonky teamwork attacking them during a party to cause mass confusion as well as intoxicate many members ruining their overwhelming numbers.
What if the crew is just as strong? They thrive to find the one piece after all and it's already the second yonkou territory they invade. As a raid this time for that matter
Remember this, Kaido will turn out to be a huge disappointment too as a villain just like Beast Pirates. I will come back to this comment once Wano Arc is done.

So many TH-camrs/twitch streamers have the purple LED background vibe, and I get why people do it because it's simple to put up, vibrant, and it doesn't have to dominate a multipurpose space all the time since you can just turn the LEDs off when you're not filming

I am actually really intrigued by Jack. He was introduced as a no brained bruiser. But as Wano has continued he's shown it's really loyalty and dedication. His shit talking has also decreased, which makes sense as he's been pretty humbled by the minks, and clearly acts subordinate under his superiors like King, Queen and Kaido

Jack was never a shit-talker. He seemed so, at first, because we didn't know Raizo was there (or that the mink knew and were protecting him), and so Jack comes out as irrational, ruthless. Made him seem just like a brute grunt. But when we get the view that Raizo was being protected, that Inuarashi and Nekomamushi are Kouzuki retainers, we see that Jack wasn't irrational, he was just sure that Raizo was there and was just impatient. The point is, how he presented himself in Zou makes a lot more sense when you see he that he knew minks were their enemies, not just a isolated nation. I don't see him as a shit-talker, I see him as someone who goes straight to action.
That was actually in the back of my mind for a long time now. The Big Mom Pirates felt a bit more threatening than what we see from the majority of the Beast Pirates. Remember that time when Luffy defeated Cracker? The incoming Big Mom forces really felt like they're really going to screw Luffy real bad.
I think it's more like Luffy leveled up so much from his fight from katakuri that the same level of threat in the beast pirate crew can't quite match up to him now. All of the big fighters in the SH crew also got good powerups too prior or in Wano itself. So, the Tobi Roppo who could have been Cracker level of threat instead is only as powerful as the high tier doflamingo family members.
@@goldmemberpb What I mean is how Oda portray the enemy. The Beast Pirates prior to the Zou arc where portrayed as tough and battle-heavy opponents based on how Oda draw their mob crew. Jack embodied that really well. But the lower ranks felt like flies where you could just swat them. Compared to the lower ranks of the Big Mom where even if they are weak, they could hold on on their own. The numbers have such intimidating introduction but didn't really live up to our expectations. So far only Kaido and King feel like they are a threat. Only Kaido felt like an obstacle. It felt like the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai alliance is actually the more powerful force rather than the latter.
@@justaway6901 I think it's just that the SH are way more powerful then people thought. That and little bit of luck goes a long way in neutralizing big threats like some of the Tobi Roppo. The numbers are disappointing definitely. Pretty much all of them got OHKO'd. Maybe some of the numbers we have not seen are more formidable. Maybe they have devil fruits or smile fruits.

It's a shame you didn't mention Doflamingo's family more because I think they might be one of the better established teams post timeskip. Kaido and Big Mom have their standouts but like you mentioned a lot of their members were just kind of thrown at us en masse with no context to their strength for the sake of having overwhelming numbers which falls flat to me. I think Doffy's gang also had a lot more interesting powers even if some of them didn't use them the best. Pica alone feels like he could have beaten the majority of the people we've seen in Wano and he felt so much more threatening on a large scale the guy literally changed the shape of the city on his own and could have killed the entire allied force alone probably.

We really only get to know 2, 3, Bon Clay, and I guess techically Robin the rest are pretty much one and done. I don't know if I can even remember them all. As an Ulti fan, I gotta say that Black Maria is quite underrated both as an antagonist and as a powerhouse. She knows where to hurt you the most, both physically and mentally, and it’s amazing how fast and agile she is while being 8+ metres tall! The only ones that “disappointed” me were Who’s Who and Sasaki but that mostly because there were skipped. The Beast Pirates as a whole are kinda like Croco’s gang in the New World. All have their unique personalities and fighting style, but with the difference that the Beast Pirates are on a whole different level. I really liked that Oda focused on the women this time, both sides have an interesting female cast!
Who’s Who and Sasaki were just used to show off the strawhats really and im kinda meh about it, i feel like they were hyped up for no reason now but honestly its what the fans kept asking for and Oda gave it so ig i cant really say much because people have been crying about the strawhat fights not being set up like pre TS with everyone getting a battle, and i feel Oda wants to finish the arc by the end of the year so he couldnt flesh out those fights to atleast make them look High-diff

Imo kaido’s “crew” ,which is made up of people who’ve collectively had their wills to fight broken when their crews were murdered, lack the ability to put up a decent fight since they don’t really have much to fight for other than placement in the tobi ropo
That's sounds so sad also it reminds of the call back when Zoro got confronted by a bunch of Gifters and some of them had dreams but ended getting crushed along with their wills when they joined the Beasts Pirates. Really shows that they're not completely loyal but only follow out of fear and to stay alive.
That's the reason that I think Luffy only needs to stagger Kaido to "win". Once the narrative of Kaido's invincibility is undermined in clear view of his subordinates, his entire crew/army will abandon him in an instant
Wish we got to see this more during the war. Most of the Beast Pirates just seem like average goons (even the ranked ones), but if we got moments of resentment towards Kaido or faltering will that would definitely hammer home some cool themes.

I don't know why but kaido does feel like the biggest enemy of the mugiwaras so far, and Everytime he appears in a panel it's memorable BUT the scape from Whole Cake island feel much more dangerous than the onigashima raid, maybe it's because everyone was so positive and confident that Luffy will guide the alliance to the victory, and in whole cake everyone was ready to go kamikaze against the big Mom pirates if the situation required to.
Its different scales. WCI Luffy is simply much weaker than Luffy in wano (as of chapter 1021). You have all the straw hats and huge alliance backing up a Luffy that was able to solve most of the weakness that were shown in WCI. This makes us feel more confident in main cast and supporting characters abilities (and we are meant to, otherwise this war could not be comparable to marineford, let alone surpass it).
@@MigsCor21 you're probably right, but for me the only element missing in wano is that one, a bit of danger, maybe that's why thinking the raid would end in failure is so appealing to me and many others. And for me wano since the prison mutiny all the way to the raid it's more enjoyable than marineford, the only thing missing is the Marines (but hey CP0 and SWORD are already in onigashima)
Oda should have set up the competition to become an all-star in the first act of Wano and shown the tobbi roppo going after the scabbards to gain Kaido's aproval
Wano had different regions, it would have been great if some of them were in charge of those regions and we get to see them beforehand.

The tobi ropo got slept so fast I cant consider them memorable. Cp9 will probably always be the most memorable group for me. I was a big fan of how the 1v1s went that arc and how each straw hat was given there specific "man" and each antagonist gave the opposing protagonist a challenge. That feeling of "this is your opponent, beat them" hasn't been recreated since enis lobby and I really like that route since it gives each crew member a stage to pull their own weight.
Surprisingly Ulti was the most Memorable, just due to her taking so many Oneshot techniques and getting back into action.
But Kraker gave off a better sense of Threat than all of the Tobi Ropo.
Because kraker was fighting luffy..in wano kaido is the threat since he is fighting luffy

It all comes to expectations. I was expecting Jimbei to win comfortably, so his fight makes sense, but I was expecting Franky to have a very hard battle. We'll see what Oda has planned.
Franky did have a difficult fight. The entire shogun got wrecked which survived a lot of crazy attacks beforehand. Franky also had to resort to both the portable gao cannon AND his laser attacks to damage Sasaki.
@@goldmemberpb Yeah, Franky had to use his strongest weapons (and now would need to rebuild them).. if the enemy comes back even stronger there is nothing that he can do...especially since his main skills / assets are his weapons and all that.
I think some people want him to go on a one on one fist fight...which is INSANE to me...since that battle clearly cannot be won. (and no, I'm not saying it would be hard...I'm saying it cannot be won)
i got the same feeling..his fight with Cp9 zipper guy felt longer and tougher..i felt the same thing with Robin's fight like it was too quick..
though i didn't felt that in Jinbe's win since he was a former Shichibukai
@@august6281 Robin's fighting style leads to quick finishes, which is why I was never on the "Oda is sleeping on Robin" camp in that regard because it's kinda impossible for her to have multi chapter slugfests. So reserving 1v1 combat for her was a good move in the long run because it just be either "she can take you out or she can't". The only other way is maybe a JoJo/HunterxHunter style battle but One Piece combat was never cerebral like that so I doubt Oda will try. For Big Mom pirates it seems Big Mom is a joke while her crew is a very threatening while for Beast Pirates Kaido seems to be very threatening while his crew was a joke.
If the fight isn't over yet, yes I think so. Kaido definitely feels like the most powerful character that's been in the story, but if the rest of his crew just loses I think theyll feel very underwhelming. Big Mom pirates felt way more threatening, although thats also just due to the nature of what WCI was about, not supposed to be a huge war
Answer: no, they have not been nearly as memorable as Baroque Works or CP9 and at this point it's too late. There was no group pose, no hyping them up, no story-filled fights (with the exception of Robin), no match-up update screens. Even the map for the fights is really vague and not as clear as in Alabasta or Enies Lobby.
Even Robin's story fight was pretty bare bones: " you're useless, they only need your knowledge". "No, I'm strong too". Fight ends.

The Big Mom pirates are the greatest villains currently in the series! There is a reason why Luffy fought two of the sweet commanders and no one else did, then had to run away from Big Mom the entire arc. At this point in the story, Luffy is choosing to fight Kaido but still running away from Big Mom, that says it all right there!

The sense of threat might pick up eventually. After all, Luffy still hasn't been able to beat Kaido yet. And the Strawhats will definitely still need some more development before they're ready to be the Pirate King's crew. But I think the point of these recent chapters, after all the hype that the Yonkou have gotten up to now, is to show us that the Strawhats really do belong here at "Yonkou crew level," and to do it in a way that highlights their development so far. Robin's fight especially drove this home, and I think there's more coming up.

Strength-wise: I think Kaido's crew is actually Yonko level when you consider their numbers (as in quantity), variability, arsenal, connections, and most importantly Kaido.
But the individual strength of their members is probably the lowest of any Yonko crew. They are most likely the most unbalanced Yonko crew.
I agree 100% another person in the comments said something that would go along with this. They said kaidos crew is made up of people who have had their wills crushed by kaido. With will (haki) being such a huge factor in most one piece fights it would make sense for kaidos commanders to be weaker than most other yonko commanders which is y he has such a large crew to balance it out. This would also explain y kaido ran from shanks during marineford. Kaido might’ve been able to defeat shanks 1v1 but shanks+his crew> kaido+his crew. So kaido did the smart thing and retreated.

But my main point is that kaidos crew in particular (primarily the Tobbi roppo and the all stars) r weaker than other yonkos commanders due to the fact that they r all characters with “broken” wills. With will/haki being such a big part of the story at this point I wouldn’t be surprised if kaido has some of the weakest commanders. It’s like they have a limit to their potential because of kaido breaking their spirits. This is only a theory tho there’s no telling if it’s true. It would explain how all of the tobbi roppo have been beaten fairly “easily” and how Marco was able to fight king AND queen at the same time while using his flames on the entire first floor.

@@paulromero2937 It's hard to gauge where Page 1 fits in the Tobi Roppo, but he and Oven both fared the same against Sanji, in that they were both outmatched, but were able to tank his hits.
It's funny because I think Sanji is a good measuring stick for a lot of top level fighters. If you can keep up with Sanji and have attacks capable of hitting him, you are legit and "Commander level". But for pretty much the entire Tobi Roppo (minus maybe Drake), Oven, Daifuku, Jozu, Burgess, probably Diamante, all they could hope for is weathering out Sanji's attacks eventually, because I can't see most of them getting many shots off on him.
Jack is the most underrated one. People disrespect him just because he gets Ls. But look what he’s up against. He went up against the Admirals without a second doubt. Destroyed minks along with their kings. Fought against all minks in rooftop. He was down but for a moment. He got back up and fought Inuarashi. He is so fucking underrated.

I’ve recently heard Joy Girl’s theory which compared Wano to Thriller Bark and hypothesized how the Straw Hats will make it mostly fine to the roof top and they will protect Luffy in a sense until he lands the finishing blow (last time to Oars, now to Kaido) and they would be his “nine shadows” to correlate to the prophecy.
Going off of this idea, it would make a bit of sense if the Tobi Roppo was like Moria’s henchmen then and while they have some somewhat memorable fights, are inevitably the roadblocks to the final showdown.
Bruh the arc has been pretty bad so far, if that happens then this arc will officially be trash outside of a handful of good moments JUST LIKE THRILLER BARK WAS

I'm not gonna lie, i'm extremely disappointed by them, even Black Maria. This is a Yonkou crew and yet they feel less threatening than CP9 in term of abilities. Most of them have just 1 or two named attack and a fire move.
I won't even talk about what happened with Ulti and Page One, it's by far the most frustration i've had in the story for a while
Page One defeat was bs i agree but Ulti got destroyed by everyone. If she gets up again it will be stupid af. Black Maria pushed Robin to her limits which is evident at the end when she kneels down from exhaustion. Who Who was fighting Jimbei so i didnt expect much from him. I expected much more from Sasaki cuz i thought he is 2nd strongest if not the strongest. So in my opinion they were decent, not great, not bad but just decent.

These tobi roppo fights need to continue. Robin vs Black maria could be done, but thats it. The rest were insanely short. Maybe its because I just started reading in Wano, but im sure the CP-9 fights felt longer than this. And yes, there is a million things going on in Wano, but these are the personalized straw hat fights weve been waiting for. I hope they pick back up and have a final part 2 to them.
I guess the different things to sort out in the Wano Arc overwhelmed Oda. There are so much things happening and so much point of view. And I personally felt like people are there just for the Straw Hats to defeat like some sort of fan service rather than an obstacle that's why it felt underwhelming. I just hope the editor make better pointers for Oda in the future. I just hope there's more to this. Surprise us Oda.
I really just think Oda needs a better editor he needs to pace things a little better but this has been a complaint of mine since Luffy's fight with Croc when we had chapters where literally 3 seconds of in world time would go by yeah......

the tobi roppo looks cool in term of design, but the fights (so far) are a huge letdown considering that they were previously captains. as for right now, they pose 0 threats and all their abilities have no wow factor. the only fight that I am looking forward to is with king
Imo black Maria vs robin is my second favorite fight of wano so far, brutal as all hell for oda on a girl, usually its just an ankle or shoulder.
Just like their captain, the best thing about them was their introduction.
On paper the beast pirates, at least the all stars are amazing but the extreme lack of tension and execution have been a bit disappointing.... at least outside of Jack.
I still like the Big Mom Pirates more.
Story-wise, King, Queen, and Who’s Who are really good. One is the last of his species. One is a former associate of Judge. One is a former CP9 agent. And Kaido is very important and may know who Joy Boy is supposed to be.
On Big Mom’s crew, there’s Big Mom, Pudding, and Lola. Big Mom knows where Elbaf is and has history with Giants. Pudding could potentially read poneglyphs. And Lola was supposed to marry into Elbaf.

Yeah, this should have been the greatest challenge yet for the crew, instead beating the Tobi Roppo was easier that previous opponents. It feels like only Luffy is getting a proper challenge, while the others are winning without much problems and could even be ready for another round. Like, given how easy the Beast Pirates are going down I think the Strawhats could have beaten them even in Dressrosa, or even back in Fishman Island. It's not like Franky or Robin had the chance to grow stronger after Dressrosa, they should be pretty much the same, meaning that Sasaki and Black Maria would still loose even 250+ chapters ago.
@@lukerne9260 Black Maria, maybe but Sasaki? I think not. He managed to, not only inflict a damage, but destroyed the Shogun which no else have done until now. The reason why Franky won was because of the Shogun. Without it, I think, you can imagine how hard it is to win that fight. I'm pretty much disappointed on Black Maria and Page One.
@@akieeeeee he only damaged the shoulder, nothing impressive there. And the problem is Franky himself took 0 damage from this fight, and the Shogun just has a scratch on it's shoulder so it's not like we know that Franky would have been torn to pieces without it.
the problem with wano is the lack of development for the beastpirates in the first and second act, in the first act only kaido appeared and in the second only pageone... I think if they had used that time to treat the other characters better we wouldn't be getting to know them and there dynamic so hastily at the end of the third act.
The calamities so far specifically are kind of a disappointment for me. I like their characters but compared to Cracker and Katakuri none of them have been very impressive. Jack has only taken L's and hasn't even faced off against the straw hats themselves, Queen is going down fighting Sanji which is great for Sanji but I guess the most Queen acomplished was holding off Marco with King which was a fun fight but Cracker and Katakuri feel more overwhelming of a force and impressive in hindsight.

Honestly, I think that the best pirates feel week, and it feels like the strawhats steamrolling an opponent that should be difficult. It's almost like Oda wants us to think they are strong only because they are a yonko crew without showing it. I can barely remember a scene when any of the other best pirates except Kadio have been displayed in a good light since the raid started. I love their design and personality, but without the feeling of danger, they are falling flat for me.

At this point of the story I can't think of any way how Kaido is going to be better than Doffy. He needs that backstory to really become a great antagonist
He won't be. Power wise? Sure. But his flashback can't magically put Kaido on the top. Heck, even the pre ts Doffy without PH and Dressrosa build up was more captivating than current Kaido. I feel like Oda is going to use Kaido's past to reveal some history secrets and it will be a great piece of information on it's own but it won't save Kaido as a character much.
@@padrenuestre I think theres a small chance it can. Sure if you value charismatic characters, doffy is the obvious winner. Kaidos obsession's with death and why his character is like that, why he wants the war to start , why he wants yamato to become shogun can all lift his character to equal levels of doffy. Depends on how much focus we get on him, his personality and backstory. the 1010's really helped me like kaidos character alot but you're right in hes not equal to doffy yet, id put him katakuri or even lucci level right now.

Idk if it has something to do with the fact that Wano is based on Japan and you just can't develop on the "oppressors" more or make them somehow more likable because someone might get offended.
Very good point about the lack of exposure for the Calamities. We saw Jack resort to bio weapons in Zou, and Queen got to suddenly fight Big Mom in Udon, which is hard to scale especially when she's had her rnemory lost as well. Now that you think of it, aside from knowing that it's a meritocracy based ranking system in Beast Pirates, we have no idea how strong King actually is and how much of a threat he poses.
I think the Beast Pirates so far are really good villains but I still don't consider them the "best" as of Chapter 1021.
Yea Definetly sums up my feelings of them, Kaido, The All Stars and the tobbi roppo are functionally the 10 strongest members in the crew now compare those to the top 10 in Big Mom's crew.
Perespero defeated both brook and chopper without breaking a sweat, Oven was this literal force of nature surviving Kicks without any noticeable damage despite not being an ancient zoan and gunshot to the face, I have to wonder if I'm missing something here.
King and Queen are being made light work off while Katakuri and Cracker seemed like mountains to overcome.
Hawkins which started the arc intimidating lost to Law in like the middle of it and we're expected to be invested in him as an antagonist. Its just weird how they have been portrayed

A huge part of their threat was their strength in numbers. They would've been much tougher to fight if not for Otama. Maybe with the arrival of the Big Mom Pirates, or if the kibi-dango wears off + some of the Tobiroppo coming back, we might up the difficulty. Oda isn't done with us yet.

The Beast Pirates are really disappointing so far and if the TobiRoppo are down for good they will be even less threatening than CP9 at the time. So far the Big Mom Pirates are the best group of antagonists for me, both character wise and even strength wise!
I think Oda could've used some of the Scabbards as "ladders" to build up the Tobi Roppos before the fights with the SHs.
I mean, what Dejiro and Kawamatsu are individually doing in the raid? We could add up Ashura pretty "meh" bomb utility and boom! We have the three super-strong hidden scabbards from wano being kicked by Maria, Sasaki and Who's Who, for instance.

Tobbi roppo were a complete joke,they were hyped up for nothing. The were portrayed as strong crew members of a Yonko and they ended up getting destroyed by strawhats .Let's hope King,Queen and Jack make up for their incompetence.

@@King-2077 I don't think black Maria was underwhelming, going back we've had quite a bit from her, and 3 chapters for this fight (since I count 1005), also that fight was brutal as all hell, oda never does this for the girls of one piece so seeing robin all bloody holding her face really felt like damn, I do think robin was really challenged with that fight and black Maria is now one of my favorite members of the beast pirates, second favorite fight so far behind roof piece all imo (though Sasaki and page one are very disappointing to me, I think they may still get up along with whos who)
If the raid fails, I wish to see tobi roppo taking charge of different regions of Wano and strawhats defeating them in the respected regions. It is kind of feeling anticlimatic that an entire empire is getting defeated in a skull island. Dofflamingo family was split across the country and made more visually pleasing fights with many powers affecting the terrains(Diamante, Pica, Senor Pink, Gladius). Also, the citizens were watching when strawhats defeated the opponents. At the rate Wano is going, they will only witness Luffy vs Kaido final round and Momo holding up the Onigashima.
You may be onto something, how many regions are left in Wano excluding the main area, 5? And there are 5 tobi roppo excluding X Drake?

I think the issue with the Beast Pirates is they are supposed to be top heavy. Would anyone be shocked if Franky beat Opera or Mont’dor? No. The Tobi Roppo are hyped up to be more than the typical fodder. I think the Second tier of Straw Hats should be able to fight most of them. Sanji occupied Page One and got away pretty easily, so why wouldn’t Franky be able to beat someone equal, like Sasaki, with some effort. Ulti needed to be nerfed by Big Mom and Who’s Who was fighting a former Warlord. So it makes sense they got defeated after being hyped. I want to see the Calamities fight then I think things get more serious and dire. Jack has been impressive fighting two powerful opponents with a power up. So I’m excited to see the rest get serious.
Ulti & Page One's dynamic & Jack carry the beast pirates for me. However kaidos crew is incredibly lacking.

I have a question related to the background light: The idea of having this type of purple light or other similar LED style is to be the norm in the channel from now on? Because it doesn't really fit too much imo with your style of videos. I kinda prefer just the classic style, or just try other alternatives if you don't want that.
The reason I feel black Maria seemed more challenging than say Sasaki is probably her actually showing an effect of her attacks. Thinking back to Kaku vs zoro it was a pretty silly fight but we were still shown how dangerous kaku's techniques were either through the environment (slicing a section of the tower) or characters (zoro evidently being cut up and having trouble). Black Maria was actually giving serious blows to Robin and had the room set on fire, she could have been even more menacing if we saw the poison actually work. Instead the fights being the strawhats figuring out how to take down a something shown to be a big threat, Were being told how dangerous the enemy is only to see them get their ass kicked 10 panels later.

important to remember that Big Mom's crew hasn't entered this battle at all yet, and all of them would be nearly undamaged, and possibly set up a "round 2" for the Straw Hats, possibly even re-setting up 1v1's with the tobi roppo AND the BM pirates when they catch up, and divert the SH crew's attention

i personally think this is what oda is trying to highlight with the beast pirate dynamic. That teamwork and trust will always win against people competing to try and aim for the top.

I will say the samurai alliance actually played this really well separating the enemies so there was no wonky teamwork attacking them during a party to cause mass confusion as well as intoxicate many members ruining their overwhelming numbers.
