You need a ESR meter to test capacitors not all the time do they Vent, or bulge out on the top. I seen them most fail from the seal on the bottom of the capacitors. The ones that usually fail are on the smaller regulator power tan board on theses.
The stickers don't mean what you think they do, the serials mean almost nothing on these units. This isn't an early version, but in fact a later version. The large caps near the AC adapter input do look suspect, 1-2 of them. Yes, the lid pushes down on those front wires, causes issues over time. Bad caps are NOT usually on that tan power board. Try using it with the lid off, too. Remove the front panel cables, then re-seat.

Nice high quality video. Hope you figured it out.
Were you able to find a service manual for this model?

Thanks again. Peeking inside didn't reveal much, but it's good to know nothing has burst or spoiled.
I have one of these I want to sell
You can probably get a good price for it these days. I don't remember what retail was back then, but I hear of them selling for four figures now.
Thanks
@TomYaz I'm a bit late but anyway... Do you still have it to sell? I could be interested if it's in good condition. PM me!
@@lerembobineur sorry I sold it
