It's amazing to think it was only a few short years ago that this ground-breaking work was done. Congrats on the Nobel Prize. It could honestly go down as one of the greatest lessons in scientific history simply because it gave us the first reference frames for understanding how the brain organises information on the cellular level.
So many recent developments have in some way (directly or indirectly) been influenced by this, both in the understanding of the workings of the mind and in AI.
Thanks for your incredible contribution to science and best of luck with current/future research!

That is awesome! I love seeing videos like this and it always amazes me that some people think that new scientific knowledge that is this important, would have already been discovered by now. It's like, no we are still making amazing discoveries. How egotistical to think that humanity has discovered most of the stuff left to discover already.

How can we strengthen those cells , I have no sense of direction, nor mathematical skills to speak of.

Ironic how she thinks we should invest in brain research instead of space exploration while using the analogy to GPS throughout the whole video.

Ironic how you completely missed what she said. She never said "instead".

Well, everything is a product of mind. Better to understand the fundamental machine behind everything else. She is right, if we pour money into brain researches, we could get thousands of years into the future.
