Been following Gary since I happened to run across his series on the book of Daniel. He's become my go to guy to get a clear message on other topics/books. I live in Washington state; it's such a wonder that I can attend His church in Virginia. Kind of makes His teaching that we, as believers, are all one in Him more real.

If Pastor is right that the branches that don't bear fruit are not removed or cut off, but lift up , then we need to ask the questions why all the difference versions of the Bible never use Lift UP. The Bible Scholars who translated the KJV intentionally use Removed, though they are aware that the word could be Lift Up speak a great volumes that to use Lift Up is wrong, it contradicts the teaching. 54:56

Pastor Gary Got it wrong. He suggested that Christians who are not fruitful, God will come and lift them, so that they can be fruitful is wrong. In John15:1-6, Jesus wanted to warn his disciples about the importance of Spiritual Transformation. Jesus wants us to be Overcomers. The scholars who translated the Greek version into NKJV rightly pointed out that the Greek word "airo" has another meaning which is Lift UP. However, they deliberately chose not to use Lift Up for this passage. All the scholars who interpreted NIV, ESV, NLT, etc., know that "airo" also means lift up, remove, cut off, take away, etc. But, they chose not to use Lift Up. Why? It is because they studied the passage's context, and using Lift Up is against Jesus’ teaching in John Chapter 15. If Pastor Gary is correct, then the others are wrong. We don't need a rocket scientist's brain to know that Pastor Gary is wrong. My question is, why did Pastor Gary opt to use Lift Up as his choice? Well, I guess he wanted to be different; he wanted to be more popular, to please Christians who don't bear spiritual fruit. By the way, John 15:1- 6 is about the need to bear spiritual fruit, not necessarily all nine Fruits (though it is ideal}. There must be evidence of spiritual transformation. Before Jesus was crucified on the Cross, he explicitly told his followers the importance of True Repentance. Only True Repentance brings about spiritual transformation.
