The Collingsworth Family (Auburn Performing Arts Center, Auburn WA)

Ladies and Gentlemen, the beautiful gospel touch of Miss Kim Collingsworth at the Yamaha grand! My favorite piano player of all time. The way she plays is just divine. I try to emulate it in my own playing, but alas cannot. Very few musicians that over ever heard can make a piano SING. And Kim can. It’s like she doesn’t even try! It just happens. What a gift. There’s are very few gospel players around anymore but she just about tops them all!
I have been a fan of Kim’s for many years, but only recently have I gotten to see her perform live. She was gracious enough to chat with me briefly after the concert and give me a kind word of inspiration. What a fine example in the music world today. I plan on seeing them again soon
She really is the crown jewel of the gospel piano world.
