🛑Analysing his speech in context of Ukraine-Russia war and what he did in 1971 still makes a lot more sense.
We didn't stuck in Bangladesh like Russia stuck in Ukraine only because of him.
    Great General indeed.

      Wrong,
      It is general jacob's plan.
He wanted to grab a piece of land and hold.

In the video, Samji was talking about a big problem in India, which is that we hold a misconception of what leadership truly means; & which is what is holding everything back, in our society.
A good leader's role isn't about coming up with plans or micromanaging the people under him/her. It's about selecting the right people who can come up with good plans & also can carry out the plan properly. This requires the leader have trust in the team members he chooses, to be capable of the job.
A good leaders takes decisions & take full responsibility for it. When things don't go as planned, a good leader also takes ownership of the mistakes, rather than shifting or blaming.
Leadership is about empowering his people, & not controlling them. This is leadership perspective, which is very simple to understand, by anyone who is both sensible & decent.

Not like today's pusillanimous 'generals' with political ambitions & no backbone! Couldn't even stand against the ill-advised, unnecessary & highly dangerous Agnipath scheme!!

Unfortunately for India's well-balanced economic growth, leader of opposition has decency, but our 3-time leader only has sense. Both lacks what the other has in abundance, so India is hopping on a leg.
In the video, Samji has highlighted a big issue in India, which is that our society has a misconception of what leadership truly means; & this misconception is what is holding everything back, in our nation.
A good leader's role isn't about coming up with plans or micromanaging the people under him/her. It's about selecting the right people who can come up with good plans & also can carry out the plan properly. This requires the leader have trust in the team members he chooses, to be capable of the job, & removing incompetent people quickly.
A good leaders takes decisions & take full responsibility for it. When things don't go as planned, a good leader also takes ownership of the mistakes, rather than shifting or blaming.

@padmasenan557 There isn't a right or wrong way to speak a language.
Accent, style, vocabulary... they all change with time. Even the English didn't speak the same way before, & they don't now either.
It may be "gentlemanly" for someone of his age, pedigree & era, but it's pretty dated today.
Now, you'd just come off as some pretentious wannabe. Brevity is the norm today. Not waxing eloquence.
