How can I apply different colors to each repeated shape? Currently, when I select a shape, it changes the color on all copies, but I want to adjust the color of each shape individually. What steps should I follow?
@@LemonPaperLab i tryed but it doesnt work. I cant manage to duplicate a layer and repeat its transformation following a path… 😅 there is an effect i saw online and cant figure out how they made it
I was trying to figure out why my SHAPE was not creating a new layers and this video gave me the reason! Thanks!
Glad you figured it out!

Following these instructions on Windows and it just selects and moves the focal point of the selected object.
I only use Mac so unfortunately I am unable to troubleshoot it for you. Hope you can get it to work
thanks a lot!

You could use the paint bucket tool. If it is a shape layer you may need to rasterize it first
@LemonPaperLab thank you. I tried to rasterize, but it didn't work, so I watched another video and used a different technique).
Glad you figured it out. That’s one thing I like about Photoshop is that there is usually more than one way to do something!
is there a way to use that technique but the duplicated layers is following a curved path?
I don’t think that works with step and repeat, but you can put a brush along a path or fill a pattern along a path
