Thanks for posting, this should be a gif too! This movie made Michael Keaton. After this came out, everyone was talking about him and those lines like "business idea, feed tuna fish mayonnaise!"
When this came out, it was the first time I saw Michael Keaton in a movie. I was so impressed that I went to every movie he made for the next 10 years or so. But he never lived up to his performance in Night Shift again.
My brother and I still use that line “boy that Barney Rubble, what an acta”😂 Such a funny movie. Love the part at the end where Keaton jumps from up high and does a face plant 🤣🤣
Having a color tv like that back in the early 80s must have cost a fortune. I had a black and white 14 inch in my room in 91 or 92 and i felt fortunate as it was unheard of to have a tv in your bedroom back then.
My brother and I watched this movie in the theater. I was 11 and he was 12. When that scene came on, my brother laughed so hard he almost choked on his popcorn. He lived. 😂
You rule for posting this! My friend and I used to rewind this part over and over again, from that very part. When Barney starts jumping and the laugh breaks out, it's just the funniest thing ever.

One of the great lines in American cinematic history....
One of best movie lines of all time

Did Barney get an Oscar for that?
ikr i say it from time to time.
For someone who had such little screen time he sure made an impact. The facial gestures, the laugh, his lines. Perfection.
0:14. Look at the look on Leonard’s face watching Barney.
Leonard from Night Sift- what an actor
I LOVE this movie! This line is one of the funniest, throw-away lines from any movie. I laugh, outloud, watching this, everytime.

This is why he had to work night shift. The kid is the boss's nephew hence the resentment.
That's right. I forgot about that.
Hello this is Chuck to remind Bill to shut up! I will give you a quarter if you’d just stop talking! Lol, greatest movie ever.
“Nice frame”!!! 🤣
name of the deceased........ "something POLISH?" lol
@WilliamDRowlett Mine too! That makes me smile. =)
This scene makes me laugh. But how did he get this Flintstones episode on that TV. There was no record a show during the 80s.
New York’s Channel 11 WPIX showed reruns at 4:00. It’s an hour show.
