The 3 classes can be received from there as soon as you get all 12 sealed weapons. But the secret dungeon is only accessible after you beat the final boss.
@Cyril86 I was under the impression that the Barrier Change weakness-switch depended on which direction he leaves the screen in, but I haven't played this game in so long that I've forgotten whether it's true or not.
I think by default he will be weak to fire in the first "Barrier Change", so using Firaga Spellblade + Rapid Fire might do a handful of damage in the first run.
You have to have the Advance version of the game first of all. Then. Beat the final boss and after the credits you should be asked to save. Do so. Then you can continue playing from that save. There should be a bubbling patch of water near the Mirage Town. Go underwater on the submarine there. There should be a cavern there. You'll get 3 of the new jobs(If you don't have them already) and gain access to the new dungeon.
Does anyone know if there's something that the characters can equip to avoid being sucked in by the Encircle attack? That's the reason I keep losing the battle.
i mean get 'that' as in, how did you become all like that? except for the mime part, coz that's later on in the game for me... i wanna know where you get rapid fire, does it cost anything when used? what does a mime do?
so that's how you used time and summons in Duelcast? on the PSX version it was called Redx2 so I presumed that it could only do Red, I'm upto this point in the game but I'm level 75 and have all jobs (except necromancer of course) mastered
@Cyril86 In SNES he can make ALL the members of ur team confuse in his first attack and there is no way to avoid him and any time you attack him 8 times (as u have done in the 1st turn) he attacks u at least 5 times as well. The original Omega is really a HARD boss, this one is actually very easy one
I have one question though. When Omega used Barrier Shift, how did you know which element he was weak against? There was one part where you enchanted your blade with Firaga, so I'm assuming you knew which element he was gonna switch to.
I read somewhere that you can tell which element Omega MK II will be weak to when using Barrier Change based on the direction he goes off-screen during the animation for the action. In this case he went left, so he became weak to Fire.
what does spellblade do? how do you get your characters to have all spells? what's rapid fire? how do you attack so much? what are the jobs of your characters? what did you do to get that?
@cadejo I agree with u, the Omega in SNES FFV is in my opinion the hardest FF boss in the whole series and it took me a lot of tries and a lot of luck in the last try to kill him while this Omega took me just one try since it is millions of times easier
This video is amazing, when i play FFV in my pc (via emulator) it took me a lot of tries to kill Omega, and Omega MK II as far as i know is much more harder that the original Omega (mainly because his change barrier which in this video didnt save him) Also of topic: How can i save this video in my PC?
Spellblade adds elemental damage to your attacks. Rapid fire causes you to attack 4 times in one turn. I already said my jobs. And what did i do to get what?
@cadejo You are absolutely right, in the SNES his counterattacks are horrible, he is much faster and hard, and this boy is really slooooooow attacking. Every time u attack Omega in SNES he counterattacks with Rocket punch which confuses u and when iif he aims to confuse ur 4 boys, U LOSE. This boss is insultatingly easy compared with that one
@iCABALi Well considering the fact that by the time you fight Omega Mk II you're FAR more powerful than what you are when you just fight Omega in the Void, this Omega does very good. One has a lot of things available for this fight, namely uber equipment.
No you don't have to beat Neo Shinryu and Omega Mk. II in order to fight Enuo. Oh and note that i was only around level 40-50 when fighting against Omega Mk.II, Neo Shinryu, and Enuo. :P
dude i cant stop playing this game i was on it likt 7 hours straight it was insane . yea good video took me same amount of time to defeat that guy i only use red magic i think its beter for some reason . peace out
It did use other magic in the original too. But you have to be equipped with those magic types as well. If you only have Dualcast you'll only see Red Magic there. But if you also have the White Magic skill equipped you can also use any White Magic with it.
yea you can double magic any magic as long as it's in your command list..you'll automatically have black and white level 3 on there you just have to add the next levels or summon magic or w/e you want magic wise. i woulda thought omega mk 2 woulda been harder than Neo Shinryuu but you look like you have a harder time with shinryuu than omega..Very good job
This is just an "upgraded" version of the original Omega. The original Omega does exist in this version too and he's just as tough as he was in the SNES/PS1 version.
how come nobody ever uses memory cursor on these games in these fights my melee characters generally do the same thing and my mages are either healing or buffing so i can select commands before i get hit with something ridiculous
don't get mad at me or something but, as i browsed through some comments, i learned where to get dualcast, but what jobs are ALL of your characters? don't get mad at me or something, i just wanna know. coz like, after watching this AWESOME vid, it gave me a thought, so, yeah.
how did you know it was weak against fire at start? and it's weird why he didn't change his weakness after you hit him with your firega-spellblade. in my case he changed his barrier everytime i hit it's weakpoint
Mime is obtained by going to the sunken Tower of Walse. You'll have to fight Gogo, but do nothing and wait. He'll defeat himself and you get the Mime job.
so this is what it takes to beat him on the gba veresion, but it is almost the same boss as on the original one, and that one is harder to beat. that one can kill you instantly (even at level 99).
is blue magic really useful? what job can make you cast all spells (white, black, time, is that all?) yeah anyway, i wanna know how you started out, tell me the details of your characters... i need ta be like that, coz im like, i make everyone in my party the same job..
i dint have rapid fire so i used carbuncle or w.e to use reflect on evry1 then dualcasted thundaga on my party and had mimes mimic it...it was rly close but i won
I think 65,000. This guy was tough though. I think if he survives a round of Rapid Fire, he fully heals himself with Curaga (even though it doesn't show). Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
lastest today i first tried Omega MK.II with -Bartz use Spellblade Firaga and use Rapidfire -Lenna use Quick (Use Mighty Guard + Hastaga) -Krile use Curaga(To Lenna) -Faris ...(Stand her position and watch Bartz Rapidfire with Spellblade Firaga :v
Hehe, my comment was marked as spam, someone doesn't know their FFV very well. You can indeed get Mighty Guard from Stingray by !control-ing them and using it on your blue mage. You can find Stingray in the lake near Carwen, but they're damn rare, if I remember correctly.
Master Ninja so the Freelancer class has dual wield innately. Then master Ranger to get Rapid Fire and equip that on your Freelancer character. Then get Spellblade and equip that on the Bare as well. There. =P
Train against the sea creatures in the 3rd world, they don't give much ABP, the only motive is to fight the Movers, they're not that hard anyway, I just use Bahamut, GilToss, and have my overpowered Swordswoman (Krile) kick their ass. :D
@Cyril86 I know I have the GBA version and still is much easier to defeat, all his skills in combat have been drastically reduced and make extremely slow compared with the original version.
@helladank101 Just a person who has NEVER fought against SNES Omega will say this. Omega in SNES version is really really hard and without being lucky enough is almost impossible (his rocket punch is horrible and he can confuse ALL ur team in one turn so u LOSE cuz ur guys kill themselves)
hmm so you're playing advance, lol, me too, im using it too, but i guess im overtraining, coz of my past experiences while playing ffv again and again... ~_~ don
The 3 classes can be received from there as soon as you get all 12 sealed weapons.
But the secret dungeon is only accessible after you beat the final boss.
I named my Metagross Omega.
Based
Well both are blue robotic living machines
And spider like too @@franciscodavi1323
Lol
One little problem: In the game, this boss CHANGES his weakness after each hit!
Nope. If you watched the video, Omega did only one Barrier Change.
@@JanusHoW You should have actually played the game instead of just going by a video...
Omega MK 2 have a counter to fully heal itself when get hit by rapid fire
@Cyril86 I was under the impression that the Barrier Change weakness-switch depended on which direction he leaves the screen in, but I haven't played this game in so long that I've forgotten whether it's true or not.
One thing is for sure in FF4 The After Years, Omega is far more harder.
And that despite the fact that this games' Omega just plain ignores the level cap...
I think by default he will be weak to fire in the first "Barrier Change", so using Firaga Spellblade + Rapid Fire might do a handful of damage in the first run.
Evaluating necessity of vocalization component. *TREMBLE BEFORE MY COSMO MEMORY!*
One tip: use Flame Ring for everyone so that when they get hit with the orange blast they all get healed.
No shit Sherlock, the color of the attack says it all.
It's because of Spellblade.
Omega Mk. II randomly changes his weaknesses. I just happened to guess correctly that it was Fire.
Yeah.
Active abilities don't become innate though.
But most passive abilities do.
You have to have the Advance version of the game first of all.
Then.
Beat the final boss and after the credits you should be asked to save.
Do so. Then you can continue playing from that save.

this is my favorite FFV advance video, i like the music, especially from 1:35 -> 1:54
@PRIMALRAGE11 Um yeah but there's still the original Omega in this game too.
This is a completely separate fight.
so that's how you used time and summons in Duelcast? on the PSX version it was called Redx2 so I presumed that it could only do Red, I'm upto this point in the game but I'm level 75 and have all jobs (except necromancer of course) mastered
one more question, is it easier to know the character by having the default characters names story wise (i.e. bartz)
@cadejo No. He's the same as in the SNES version.

@Pokemonnerd591 Omega Mk.II randomly changes it's weakness.
@frenglish Or use Freelancer Job so that you don't have to "Dual Wield" and put an extra ability other than Rapid Fire.
Dualcast uses more than just Red Magic on this version?
No you don't have to beat Neo Shinryu and Omega Mk. II in order to fight Enuo.

u get rapid fire from a leveling up a ranger to max it does half you normal weapon damage 4 times so thats 2 times as much
It did use other magic in the original too.
But you have to be equipped with those magic types as well.
If you only have Dualcast you'll only see Red Magic there.
But if you also have the White Magic skill equipped you can also use any White Magic with it.
ok im very curious, how do u learn the dualcast i have the ps one version, but this one is better.

You have to kill the Archeodemon in the prison section of the dungeon.
*Sigh*
The GBA version does have the original Omega too.
This is just a new version of it in the secret dungeon.
Best equipment for everyone during any bosS??? CAn u Spellblade, rapid fire, and duel weild at the same time??
Hey, how do you get Rapid fire to attack 8 times? I am only able to get the characters to attack 4 times using Rapid Fire... :S
@cadejo The original Omega is still in the game you know.
maybe excaliber and ragnarok, dunno if rag. is a spellblade sword though
How do you all get mime? Is it the water crystal one? Or is it something else?
This is just an "upgraded" version of the original Omega.
The original Omega does exist in this version too and he's just as tough as he was in the SNES/PS1 version.

Rapid Fire - Master Hunter/Ranger Job
Dual Cast - Master Red Mage Job
=D
Mime is obtained by going to the sunken Tower of Walse. You'll have to fight Gogo, but do nothing and wait. He'll defeat himself and you get the Mime job.
my favorite video of FFV Advance, nice team :)

is the dancer job good at all
the regular version of this boss is as hard as hell for me to beat.
what is rapid fire? also what is the most ultimate weapon in the game?
i dint have rapid fire so i used carbuncle or w.e to use reflect on evry1 then dualcasted thundaga on my party and had mimes mimic it...it was rly close but i won
Hey, what does Mustard bomb effects?
it is hrdr thn this one i mean srry for the double post
It was pure luck. :P
So no i didn't know which element he switched to.
I just guessed something.
Wow one of the first videos posted on yt
how do you defeat omega weapon mk II and what do you win after beating him?
can i ask how you get 999 abp without movers?
I think 65,000. This guy was tough though. I think if he survives a round of Rapid Fire, he fully heals himself with Curaga (even though it doesn't show). Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
No becuase some fight you have to do. Plus Brave Blade is better when you get near the end of the game and you start power training.
Jobs?
At the moment Cyril/Bartz is a Freelancer, Lenna is a Mime, Faris is a Freelancer, and Krile is a Mime.
lastest today i first tried Omega MK.II with
-Bartz use Spellblade Firaga and use Rapidfire
-Lenna use Quick (Use Mighty Guard + Hastaga)
-Krile use Curaga(To Lenna)
-Faris ...(Stand her position and watch Bartz Rapidfire with Spellblade Firaga :v
These aren't the same Omega and Shinryu though. :P
Anyone know how to get out of the room where Omega Mk. II is?
I'm sure u figured out by now lol
Hehe, my comment was marked as spam, someone doesn't know their FFV very well. You can indeed get Mighty Guard from Stingray by !control-ing them and using it on your blue mage. You can find Stingray in the lake near Carwen, but they're damn rare, if I remember correctly.
Master Ninja so the Freelancer class has dual wield innately.
Then master Ranger to get Rapid Fire and equip that on your Freelancer character.
Then get Spellblade and equip that on the Bare as well.
There. =P
1. It's an ability. You learn it from the Ranger class.
2. I have. Got a video of it too.
what level are u in this?
where the **** can i get white wind and others?
hey.. whats your weapon?? very high damage..
I really think FFIV was harder though.
And i mean the Hardtype version of course. :P
I guess I forgot. Haven't played FF5 in so long.
Whoa! FF5 Advance got the FF4 Victory theme?
Greatly performed
Train against the sea creatures in the 3rd world, they don't give much ABP, the only motive is to fight the Movers, they're not that hard anyway, I just use Bahamut, GilToss, and have my overpowered Swordswoman (Krile) kick their ass. :D
This guy thought it would be wicked fun to do triple encircle. I on the other hand was NOT amused...
@Cyril86
I know I have the GBA version and still is much easier to defeat, all his skills in combat have been drastically reduced and make extremely slow compared with the original version.
WOW how much hp does this guy have?
am i hallucinating or did it look like u had 2 ragnaroks?
what lvl are your char?
The original Omega is faster than Omega Mk. II.
Omega Mk. II randomly changes his weakness.
That's right.
Though you shouldn't just call people amateurs like that. :P
Yes you can. =P
I agree. Anyway, the XII version is kinda hard.
Well yeah. But i don't run alot.
@Endbeam109 Yeah remind me to swap my brave blade for the coward one when that happens :D
I didn't know it was weak against fire. xD
But i knew it changes it's weaknesses... so i just guessed.
These bosses are friggin harder then easyer then Exdeath!
hmm so you're playing advance, lol, me too, im using it too, but i guess im overtraining, coz of my past experiences while playing ffv again and again... ~_~
don
Uhh... in case you didn't know FF4 and FF5 have almost identical victory themes. =P
Metagross?
Master Red Mage.
whats your level??? I'm so weak i only defeated omega on level 64.... =p.... but I'm still stronger than that... =p
great fight but chicken knife is garrenteed 9999 if you run alot
