- Cross Armada is a pretty bikable stage for a sky stage, all things considered.
The unfortunate part is that it has two Passworders.
I'm gonna preface this run by saying that this happened while I was still developing strats and that honestly, it's a pretty poor run, but it has amazing Passworder luck.
The starting section isn't very notable except for the Passworder. This one matters less because there's fewer buttons and they're all relatively easy to get to. You can Cable yourself to the door pretty easily even if you end on the right. You don't need to bike into the next room because you need to wait for the missile anyway.
On the transition, you are usually intended to be stuck in place waiting for the background to fall off. However, your restriction only applies to ladder climbing, so jumping with Magnet Beam is not prevented and you can get to the top of the screen and save some minor time.
The screen at 1:06 IGT was a disaster. You can catch that missile. I was trying to charge blue Mix Tape but I fumbled completely. My idea was to release it at the end and get ahead of the missile to drop down into Cloak Reaper.
Both Cloak Reaper fights in this stage are trivial, there is nothing better than Tornado Blow, 2 consistent double hits for 8 damage each.
Passworder 2 is what makes or breaks the run. This room is very convoluted and it's vital to end in the top-right. Getting two, or even three back-to-back buttons here saves a ton of time. My pattern was incredible.
Right after, it's vital you kill the cloud enemy by the missile fast and still board the missile. The enemy will kill the missile otherwise.
I use blue Mix Tape for this too, although it can theoretically be done without that with Royal Guard, or maybe something else.
Finally, there's Falcon Rock. Spark Chaser makes him pretty trivial. Although for the second health bar, you need to be pretty tight with your hits, otherwise he'll leave the screen for a bit.
You can use Magnet Beam to stand on Falcon Rock for the Element as he dies.
This run beats the previous fastest Normal time of 3:00:819 by PineappleDerp by about a second. It could be a lot faster with tighter stage execution but all those better runs I had had awful Passworder 2s.
