I bought a '79 KZ1000 because of these scenes. Riding on the highway pushing 100 mph was so much fun. Eventually, I graduated up to a ZX10 NInja. Much faster, but something about the KZ1000 was much more fun to ride.

I spent many a days riding my Kawasaki KE 100 imagining that I was Jim Goose! I even got the MFP style jacket! I asked for a full face Bell helmet for Christmas and through the Dennis Kirk mail order catalogue got the flip up smoked visor shield!! Looked high and low for the mirrored one! My Brothers buddy had some old Alpinestars black boots he gave them to me!! I'd tear around the dirt roads by our house! In my imagination I'd be Goose out patrolling for biker "skags"!❤❤

Little known fact. George Miller was a doctor in emergency ward in a previous 'life'. He made the film INCREDIBLY graphic, to get across a road safety message...true.

The actors didn't get the bikes , they were given to the guy who modded them as payment . Most of them were too beaten up to ride again and he sold them on as spares and scrap , not thinking anyone would be interested . There's no verifiable trace left of any of the bikes . Needless to say , Kawasaki were pissed - they were expecting them back but they did get a serious and unexpected publicity bonus....
If you ever get a chance to see the dubbed version, with American voices, because they could not understand our accent. It's fucking HILLARIOUS. One for Mad Max afficianados

I think it's just the laconic way it's delivered. What's confusing for others is how we to tend to drawllll our words into each other in a vocal string, like we're bored and just want what we gotta say over and done with as quickly as possible.

23年前、私が圏央道の料金所のオッサンをやっていた時に若い時に観たマッドマックスのグースが乗っていたこのバイクとそっくりなMFPのロゴが付いたのが私のブースに入って来た。
ビックリと記憶が蘇り、そのライダーに「このバイクマッドマックスで見たような？」と思わず声を掛けてしまいました。その時の

Yep the GPZ 900 was a great bike along with the 750. I had a GPZ 1100 for a little while. Loved those bikes.

グースの出勤シーン。もう何回ビデオを繰り返して見たか分からない位見ました。チェンジペダルがたぶん逆パターンで、数回蹴り上げた後、踏み込んでニュートラルに入ると同時にエンジンスタート！カワサキならではのエンジン始動です。グースかっけ～！！！

The bikes were intended to be loaned to the actors by the bike company whilst filming, but after the film was made the actors got to keep the bikes
that was stone. they kept all the z900
Kawasaki wanted them back but were horrified to see how few were left and how hacked up they were!

これの公開翌年にたまたまオーストラリア行ってんだが、ローカル航空で下見ているとほんと都市と都市の間がこんな感じで何も無いんだわ
現地で一週間のうちに見た最小バイクはマッハⅢのエグリタンク（500cc）だったのが衝撃
郵便配達らしいバイクでもR65あたりだった
モペッドぐらいあるだろうと思ったが、私は見なかった
戦争記念館前には旧日本軍の潜水艦がニコイチで展示してあったのが感慨深い
あと、現地ガイドのおっさんの名前がハーロックだったのが衝撃だった
「そんな名前実在すんのかよ」と高校生の俺が思った
