Seen them minus Keith and then minus John a few more times.
How loud were they in 1975 compared to say 2001?
@@raultennis5904 Shockingly loud, extremely loud, especially since we were right against the stage and all those stacked amps were just a few feet away. Now they elevate amps but in those days they were right on stage. No wonder Pete has hearing problems. My ears were ringing for a couple of days.
Love these guys.
I hope I luck out and get to meet them some day after singing My Generation in public. They are my idols!
They've still got it.
Imo they never lost it. Great great band. Seen em 3 times. And roger solo once. Incredible live band. Just love daltrey, and its so evident that he still loves being in the who.
Volume is about other people bringing a family argument into the event and interrupting your listening. Like watching Jimmy Page yesterday and seeing a stagehand go after something in front of Jimmy while he was performing. Luckily, he kept on in the moment. EXTRAORDINARY!
Cool to see them smile. They're still there.
Great band! ✌️🔥
Rogers in a tribute band. Lol
I'd go see that
Love 'em
Pete always has the coolest shoes. Wish we could have seen his eyes, they're beautiful.
I think Pete's just had eye surgery.
@@helenbryant404 Ooooh! Probably lenses. Hope it doesn't affect the colour. Killer eyes.
Yes, they’re beautiful. They both have beautiful eyes.
I know deep down that Roger and Pete love each other as life long friends and all, but it really seems from their body language that they just can’t stand each other, mainly Pete. I could be wrong, but that’s the feeling that comes across to me.
Ya, I NOTICED ALSO. ROGER LEANING AWAY AS IF HES EXPECTING TO BE STRUCK,AND HE KNOS HE DESERVES IT WITH HIS TRYING TO B RESPECTABLE POMPUS ATTITUDE! HE SHUDA BIN REPLACED THE DAY HE WANTED TO BE RESPECTABLE!😕😎
Yeah townshend knows he's intellectually on a higher level than daltrey and that he has to make some allowances to find some common ground.
He likes to throw around the word 'art school' in a lot of his interviews simply to distance himself from roger.
I too sense roger flinching sometimes as if he's been on the end of a few smacks by pete in the past.
What a great interview. My all time favourite is Tommy the movie. The 70s was the years to be alive none of the s#$t today that's playing and going on.
How can it be The Who without John Entwistle and Keith Moon. Moving on ?
John Entwistle was special to me because he played french horn. The whole group cannot be replaced. I am glad they did not stop making music.
I love how Roger speaks so highly about Pete...and Pete towards Roger. It’s extremely endearing. 😀
The WHO is and always will be the best
Whats up with big "Whack A Mole," mallet mics?
Advertising for the radio network.
Just laughed out loud.
😂😂😂😂
The two
Still GODS among mortals!!!!
IThanK GOD 4 PETE & SO SHUD ALL! HES BETTER THAN THE BEST! N SO WAS JOHN ! LONG LIVE ROCK SHUDA BIN PLAYED AT THE KENNEDY CENTER. AND THE REAL ME AS AN TRIBUTE TO JOHN N KIETH. GOD BLESS U PETE! I LOVE U DEARLY FOR TEACHIN ME TO LISTEN TO MUSIC. AND JOHN 2. ITS WHY I LOVE 2 PLAY BASS N🎸🎼🎤🎵 GUITAR. YOU DONT GET BORED TRYING TO🎓 LEARN WHO SONGS! U GET INSPIRED!😱😅😉😎
"You've spoken in the pahst about an evening out with Keith Moon. People have actually died on such nights. Young people today likely don't know, and won't believe, the stories. Could you elaborate on what nights out in the 60's and 70's, when people died, were actually really like? It would be a wonderful education for today's young people."
I saw you Pete in Chicago get frustrated with your guitar tech and in the middle of the song just stopped and launched your guitar in the air. The tech handed you another and you started from the beginning. Great days then great days now.
Alan Rogan is his guitar tech and he has been taken some shots over the years. He's earned his keep.
more remarkable than my other bits lol
RD needs to be Britain's ambassador to the EU please.
White Awake, as ᛟllie ᛈlimsolls ! ᛉᛇᛏ ! Idiot !
Ever think about playing the whole Sell Out album? If it's challenging, I understand?
Who are they .....
Roger's real name is Hugh Fitzcairn and he is immortal.
They look young.
Pre ordered the new album which will be signed by peter and Rodger ,but can not afford the Wembley gig.
Where did you order it signed?
where'd you order that?
I was born in the wrong time. Next time
Sorry only one shot at it, good luck when you join the great darkness.
Please don't have a rapper on the record
Nothing more embarrassing.
They won’t do that
@@charliehustle1540 (-M.C.Lilly Pictures) on da mic! Yo am a substitute for another beeoche, gang nam looks pretty old but shit be just back dated oor yee!
@@charliehustle1540 yeah, this will never happen
I wouldn't mind Keith Moon rapping. He was hilarious.
What is Pete miming around 5:14 ?
I wish Roger and Pete would get a new Bassist and Drummer. People that were very hungry, that really pushed them, made them compeat, and inspired them. (I also wish Pete would put down the Strat and pick up an SG with P-90's, or try a Reverend Jetstream 390) That strat is just to thin of a sound, especially for The Who.
I got slammed and moved back in '89 literally. I think Simon Phillips was on drums? His bass drum did CPR on my chest with every beat.....LOUD!
Kenny Jones.
@@patmccormick9972 '89 was Simon Phillips.
COME TO BRAZIL!!! COME TO BRAZIL!!! COME TO BRAZIL!!! 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Roger always compliments Pete but Pete hardly gives recognition to how Roger brought to life Pete's songs.
Petes basically an asshole personality wise!
Daltrey not really a great singer anyway and he's not a musician.
Wish they were slightly less modest, and said at least something about the vast charity foundations which they support. E.G. transforming cancer treatment in The U.K. with Teenage Cancer Trust (building state-of-the-art new, wings to every major hospital there, for teenagers, from tens of millions in donations raised through their concerts, along with allied artists).
They do all the time every gig ive ever seen them do they talk about it.
