Was amazing Saturday night. Best gig I’ve ever been to. Just epically brilliant, joyous, raucous, escapist, earthy, real and dreamlike. All at once. Thank you 🙏🏻 You were brilliant.
@@paulrichardson9843 I think it was massive because Britpop was at its absolute peak. Blur or Oasis could release an hour of someone shitting on a toilet and it would have sold. Listening back to it now, it's not great imo. The Universal is a fantastic song but the observational-everyday-brit formula for the other songs was a bit dead at that point.
Glad to hear that! I think the last time I saw them was 94 and they were great, but Damon was sozzled and fell off a big speaker stack...I think he may have broken an elbow or his arm and they had to finish early..or they may have played on, can't really remember myself lol. Good times!
@@Radagast- exactly Wembley literally publicly offered it to them after Blur's Mile End Stadium gig in 1995 and Damon just said "Wembley Stadium is for wankers" to the media when asked about it lol
Brit-pop is such an anomaly to me...I don't get it. Blur was basically a 1 hit wonder in the US/Canada with the woo hoo song....their other songs never took off. Same with Oasis. I think the Gallagher brohers are great but my whole life I only ever heard about Wonderwall and the widely labelled as a "classic" album, Morning Glory. Personally, I find Oasis' music the most bland, basic, generic rock music I've ever heard in my life - it's like paint by numbers - nothing original besides a handful of songs from their first 2 albums. I wish I understood the appeal.
Listen to ‘This is a Low’, the last track on Parklife. It’s a masterpiece. It might also help if you listen to The Shipping Forecast beforehand. Imagine you live on a collection of grey islands in the North Atlantic, with melancholic faded grandeur and past glories.
Have a listen to leisure blur first album.its classic indie swirling guitars shes so high is a classic and sing is a great song featured in trainspotting.there second album modern life is rubbish is always overlooked but is a great album always found it very english which is hard to explain lol ..great band though .i think us had grunge and here we had indie.👍
@@Tele-musik do you really think so? I find some blur songs really annoying like pop scene, song 2 country house. And when they get experimental like on 13 and think tank the songs are not really there. There’s more drama in suede’s music and suede have their anthems too. I also think Brett Anderson is a way better front man than Damon Albarn.
Just finished reading Coxon's autobiography. Starts off well and he's quite humble but by god, once fame hits what an absolute Coxon he is. Would do well to learn how to be gracious and humble like Brett's books.
I read Alex's autobiography and he alludes to fame going to their heads. He said Graham Coxon used to based at certain pub surrounded by a group of sycophants. Alex also said once they got really famous, they never really hung out together. Everyone had their own individual Crews who they associated with.
Yeah but Brett does let it go to his head and sacks Bernard butler who without him ,Suede would never have broke through into the charts !! Blur "stayed together " They are Good books . And Richard is a good guitar player. But all the 1990s band went a bit crazy! I am Seeing Brett play next week .
I was there both nights. Some bands aren’t good live but Blur sounded amazing and they brought out Phil Daniels for Parklife.
Such an epic show
god i hate him
Ditto, what an experience!
Doubt he had much else to do
Graham's rough landing was an essential element for making blur's music great...
"I have to do my belt up ...or my trousers'll fall down" (2:35) is such a brilliantly subtle joke, historically speaking.
Well, they nailed it.
We travelled from Dublin for the Sunday show.
Absolutely untouchable. ❤❤❤❤
What a beautiful relationship ❤

Night 1 was very, very good indeed
Night 2 was very sexual
I saw them there last night at Wembley and they were fabulous!
Saw them in Ireland a couple of weeks ago. Great band.
Always loved Blur and Oasis. So many great bands in the 90s.
I was there too, they were fab 👊
They were not 2 of them
@@Stantheman848 and the Oscar goes to.......
Damon and Graham have known each other for over 40 years, that’s a very long time.
and hated eachother for 30 of them
and the show was AMAZING, EPIC SHOW, thanks BLUR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was there last night ! amazing night ! ❤
The Great Escape is very underrated.. one of their best.
How big do you think it should be?
It was massive at the time - a number one album. Really not underrated at all.

Was there on Saturday. Brilliant gig
There’s few or more distressing sights than that of an English man in a baseball cap
Libertines ❤️
Sunday was the dog's. Paul Weller "supporting" was awesome and Phil Daniels was a real treat... the place was bouncing.
I’m a fan of Graham after his stint with Duran Duran. Genius.
Got to fulfill a childhood dream and see them play live. They were amazing.

"An expression of our Britishness" says the guy in the LA Dodgers hat.
Great video, great performance, woo hoo!!!!
jealous of people who are at wembley
Fr ):
same😭
I have to say - last night was the best Blur gig I've been to - and i've been to loads. Hope the Sunday crowd get the same! No Steve Davis though :-(
I was there lol

So well deserved...enjoy every moment!! Iconic nights ahead.. 💯🫶 🤩
Sunday was absolutely superb ❤
Compliments ❤
❤❤❤ one of the best that i could have in my life
Love BLUR ❤️🔥
Still mates ❤
i went day 2 it was so fun
Damon is slowly turning into Harry Enfield
Was there sat night👌
Damon put tour tooth in. You're whistling when you speak. Gotta love him.
Other than song 2 I didn’t think blue was really known world wide
There's no money for new young bands anymore. Especially English Indie-lad bands.
Good for them. Just googled sales for oasis:70 million
Gutted I weren’t there
hanno venduto di piu di 15 milioni di album....5 milioni solo di parklife
Albarn has had more international success with Gorillaz
See you later blur!
I wish I’d been there they aren’t touring anytime 2024. I bet in 2025 as Oasis are playing let’s pray to see Blur in 2026
All that scratchins makin me itch ✌️✌️🇬🇧🇬🇧
I had bad experience in Wembley. I got arrested trying to get into a squat. Backpackers worst nightmare. 🤸♀️🙉🤸♀️.
This is a low, great song
I saw them at Coachella. Felt horrible for them. No one got into it.
What about the singles night and besides night?
Singles night was Wembley arena, not stadium. Awesome gig
B sides gig was a club /students union in west London
She is F I N E
They play back in 99 ??
They played Wembley Arena in 99, not the stadium itself
@@linksauce_1 cheers 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻 es
Colchester’s finest
Woo hoo!
Why they never play at Wembley?
It was a sh..hole in the 90s - it felt like 1 toilet for every 15,000 spectators. It was torn down in 2003 and the new one opened in 2007.

more than 15 million
I’m really influenced by Mozart and Bach, sort of in between those, really. It’s a Mach piece, really.
Wait DVD
Coffee and tv

coxon is a bit bill wyman
Go Dodgers!!!!
Gramon!!!!
Would loved to have gone
so jealous
Grandi Blur❤
Wait, but they played on Wembley in 1999.
Singles night...
Correct.
Arena
The Arena

@@KOSMICKEN09 I love the rivalry though
Well said. Suede are better than this soft pop rubbish.
Oasis was better.
I got a ticket for £2.75, they couldn’t fill it
God they are average at best
Reasonable band... better than the truly awful oasis..but who isn't
the biggest rip off venue in England
You're just jealous you couldn't go.
