The Gladiator Kettlebell Complex

  • Use this Program as a stand-alone plan or Finisher.
    Train 3x a week for 6-weeks.
    Here’s the breakdown:
    Round 1: 10 double swings
    Round 2: 8 swings + 2 cleans
    Round 3: 6 swings + 2 cleans + 2 squats
    Round 4: 4 swings + 2 cleans + 2 squats + 2 presses
    Round 5: 2 swings + 2 cleans + 2 squats + 2 presses + 2 squats
    Repeat again, this time switch Squat for the Press:
    Round 1: 10 double swings
    Round 2: 8 swings + 2 cleans
    Round 3: 6 swings + 2 cleans + 2 presses
    Round 4: 4 swings + 2 cleans + 2 presses + 2 squats
    Round 5: 2 swings + 2 cleans + 2 presses + 2 squats + 2 presses
    Alternate Heavy, Medium, and Light days.
    For example, H: 24kg - M: 20kg - L: 16kg

    Nice complex. Did it as a Single Arm Workout with 24kg today. Finishing with a thruster. Feals Great for 4 rounds. Greatings from Germany 👍

    Do this with a 40sec EMOM (I know, I know) for 30 rounds to start! It's really tough, even for advanced people like me!
    That's a 300rep double KB in under 20mins btw. Brutal!

    I do swings with 1 KB 32kg. Guess 2 KB's of 16 KB for swings are recommended instead of 2x20KB? Great training btw! Grtz from NLs

    What would you think of doing blocks of this complex alternated with blocks of The Strong with double kettlebell cleans and presses? How many weeks would you run each block?

    Nice! For the gladiator complex I just do 1000 strikes a day with a 17.5 pound sword. Nothing better for training for a gladiator than actually training for a gladiator check out my workouts.
