Thanks for the video and information.
Now that you had it up for almost a year, what do you think of it?
Any SWR issues, RX/TX issues, water leaks or any other issues?
Would you buy it again or something else? What if something else?
I want to put up a Base station antenna soon. I keep waffling back and fourth between the Comet GP-9 and the Diamond X510HDM. Specs are very similar.
I see some leakage and High SWR reports on both and a lot of good comments on both. I just can't decide.

Hi, Thanks for the question. I have had no issues with this antenna. I just checked my SWR and it is at 1.1 on 145.10 which is the same when I was first installed. I have not worked any 440 stations. Rx has been really good too.
The antenna has been through some very tough storms and it whips around pretty good but I have had zero issues. I am hitting a 2m repeater 15 miles away on 12 watts at the radio with good signal into the repeater. I live in a valley with a delta about 150 ft and I am able to get out really well. A friend of mine had this antenna for many years with no issues so, that was what convinced my to buy it. I have been very happy. Hope this helps - seems the Comet or the Diamond is a good choice.

A few months have passed since this comment from the other user but I presume everything still happy with the comet. How are your SWRs in the 462 and 467 range? I'm working towards a ham ticket but currently using GMRS I am looking at this antenna and hoping I can use it dual purpose
