Clearly you’re not aware that atheism and communism are completely unrelated, since communism is a political ideology, while atheism isn’t. Also Stalin, Mao, Castro, Etc. never imposed Communism simply in the “the name of atheism”, but rather for their own political goal for power. Overall, Communism did not like any competition, hence the reason why religion and any other from of authority was suppressed in former USSR.

Seriously man? You must have actually been born in 2003. Philosophy is the intellectual's armor, and it is also the weapon that can be used to combat idiots and people who would wish to intellectually dominate you. If you have not already, refer to the logical fallacies and know them in and out. Knowing those will disarm 99% of the idiots you'll be conversing with on the internet. Do not aim to change the mind of your opposition as they are coming from a point of conflict and disagreement. Instead, aim to point out the holes in their logic and let them insult you. Just remember, philosophy and logic are useless in combatting an argument coming from someone who refuses to accept the basic premises of debate/argumentation.

They always say somthing along lines of "with enough time, evolution (or any other bizzare fiction they come up with) will happen!". I was asking my previous science teacher (he does grade 12 bio btw) about evolution and how it's just utterly impossible for a mutation to just RANDOMLY happen and just RANDOMLY be somewhat usefull/good further down the timeline and how these kept RANDOMLY happing until boom, us little critters crawled up from pond scum and became funny little bi-pedal apes. Does a grade 12 bio teacher have anything more than an undergrad with teaching degrees? A long list of degrees doesn't make people smart, it's just an accounting for their ability to operate within a strict beuracracy. Which is basically what education/academia has become, a beuracratic training ground that exists to streamline people into places of power and influence.

What I always like to ask atheist secular humanists is- "If God and religious morality is actually a creation of humans then how is your secular humanist morality which is admittedly also creation of humans any different or better?" This is the thing that I find problematic and contradictory with the idea of secular humanist morality, with the way secular humanists contrast their humanist morality to divine religious morality. By holding to this contrast and opposition you are treating religious morality as if it is something different from being a creation of humans as your humanist morality is which contradicts your other held assertion that ideas of God and divine morality are just creation of humanity. If God and divine morality are creations of humans then that morality is just another type of humanist morality. Why and how is this perceived human created morality any different and better than your other human created morality you term secular humanist?

    • @off6848

They would say its more primitive and less advanced therefore worse. Going with the usual progressive telos the idea is that everything just gets better with time because its a straight line going up.
It also ignores how both Atheism and Polytheism are actually older ideas than Christianity and that is demonstrably so. Greek materialists were spouting it 400BC, Hindu heretical Atheists over 4000 years ago. True Monotheism is actually the most high tech philosophy of cosmology the Ancient Hebrews and later Greek Monists actually turned the world on its head and the idea of one true God was very foreign for most of human history. History that we're told anyway I tend to think that the One true or Monad was a revelation given to the earliest of humanity but then was lost and scattered into Idol worship through time.

It's interesting, when I was a teenager, these atheist types and their arguments were seen as intimidating, now they're just laughable. You can almost predict what they will say next, always using the same, not well thought out arguments. You can also notice, they import their own relative morality into every single argument, even when they have no basis for said morality. Everything, according to their worldview, is relativistic and subjective, yet they constantly, without fail will import words such as progress, some things are 'better' than others, 'terrible', etc.

Leviticus 12:4-5 is referring to ritual uncleanliness, and this helped the mother more than diminished her as it made household tasks non obligatory and kept women with their children, like a modern maternity leave, which was changed when Jesus began teaching. Both filled to the brim with sympathetic viewers who somewhat lack humility, they hard brag about how much better/nicer/more moral they are than Christians. Yet how "self care" they are/in need of. When you were talking about "what is more likely," it also presupposes that what is more likely is more true. That probability is somehow intertwined with truth. This is the same presupposition behind the current LLMs (large-language models) they are using in AI, and it leads to ridiculous and absurd statements from the AI, because the next word it predicted was "most likely" but nonsensical to a person. It's similar to trying to text someone and only using one of the suggested words while writing to them.

I believe there was at least one saint or some other writer within the church that tried to insert their Greek science into the Old Testament, mostly through the idea of the four elements being the earliest things to be created. There have always been people trying to read science into the Old Testament, when it was never meant to be a textbook about that stuff. Unless the church made an official ruling on this, what you believe about the Earth's age should have little bearing on your faith. I think it would be quite silly to get into arguments/debates over stuff like that, considering theres more important social issues at the moment.

Hey Kyle, I have a question and request advice from you if you're willing. I'm 15 years old and I have a friend who does not believe in Christianity, or at least just God at all; similar to you, he was raised in an atheistic household. He does not necessarily go out of his way to oppose Christianity like Cosmic Skeptic, but he does not seek the truth either unless I bring it up in a conversation with him. His main argument is how could God be omnibenevolent and also create humanity in a world where they're bound to sin, and depending on the environment in which they are born and raised, are automatically stubborn by human nature to other beliefs; "for this reason, it would be hard for people in other faiths to convert, and therefore people are damned to Hell for a stubborn attitude that belongs to human nature". His other arguments are as follows: We don't have enough evidence to believe in God and therefore, it is a waste of time as it makes one stop seeking the truth and default to God; Morality as we know it is completely subjective and different cultures have developed it as a way to help each other and defend themselves against other people. Every time I try to give him a response, I feel like I fail because I don't get my words right. How would I formulate an appropriate response to all three points that he makes?

    • @OrthodoxKyle
      @OrthodoxKyle  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

"create humanity in a world where they're bound to sin"
we are not? that the whole point of Incarnation and Theosis, we are freedom from Sin by Christ and repentance...
"makes one stop seeking the truth and default"
      send him this playlist: th-cam.com/play/PL6eyVWFC0v8fKkidgTG3148u1YqBLRePQ.html&si=SYp9RFHF51S_wZAF
Atheist is defeater for knowledge and can never have solid epistemology.
Watch the video on TAG / Transcedntal Argument for God from Jay Dyer in that playlist...
"Morality as we know it is completely subjective"
Ok? So does he believe in objective morality? or is all of morality made up? he doesn't live this way.

I was aligned with atheists as a teen thinker but in all (self) honesty - I couldn’t convict my self from my own reason - I couldn’t escape my doubts telling me I JUST DON’T KNOW.
Atheist apologists don’t listen to that inner voice asking: could I be wrong? Uncertainty being untenable to the Atheist.

This video has so many logical fallacies but this margin is too small for me to write them down so I leave it for the reader to figure out. 👍

Man kyle, you're so funny. I hope you continue just as you are. It's so much fun to watch someone so confident in everything yet understand almost nothing. Please never stop.

Yet again, the atheist gayIord is incapable of presenting actual arguments and instead mocks the opponent. Never change atheists, never change.

I tried to read Bertrand Russell "Why I'm not christian" and instantly stopped because from the very beginning his critique came from a fallacy about Genesis and our free will. He earned a f**** Nobel for that crap book and he's considered a major intelectual in skepticism and one of the most influential modern thinkers... It was just the last reason I should immediatly go back to church and repent my sins
