I was looking at the original video. And it has Ramesh Aravind singing this song who was at the party with Puneet Rajkumar the day he died. They chatted together for 3 hours.
A big salute and respect to saxophone legend late Mr kadri gopalnath sir ,who played in original version.SPB SIR,KADRI SIR AND AR REHMAN SIR MADE A MARVELOUS SONG
The combination of SPB and ARR is awestruck. And SPB and Raja sir is Mind blowing. It's like choosing between right or left eye👀 You cannot pick one😋😋😋
SPB sir has given his entire life to singing. He can sing traditional and modern compositions with ease.He is an institution and will be an angel guarding us from above. His soul will live forever
By the way, when Rick says about not writing the score in the intro, though it’s commonly true, Raja Sir still provides handwritten notations for every single instrument in his score!
The saxophone portion is so tough in this song that even an experienced player has some difficulties at places (still well done here). Special mention to Kathri Gopalnath the legend, who doesn't get enough praise. He is the real hero of this song.
I've cried for too many people since the beginning of Corona, including for SPB. It still hurts to hear of him in past tense, not done with the grief yet.
Happy Kannada Rajatosya !! .May the spirit of Karnataka stay in the core of your heart. Let’s salute this state with pride. It’s our own inseparable part.
Someone send them S.P.B's aayar paadi maaligaiyil thai madiyil song. Korbin will love it. If possible with subs so they will truly appreciate the lullaby for lord Krishna
Guys...u should ...really...really.......react to the original version....to feel...the voice of SPB....the sax of ....kathiri Gopalnath......the reactions of the actors in the film...which all come together to create a magic....which brings tears to our eyes...even when we hear it after all these years....
I love that song. Rafi saab's exceptional singing- he is always superb- and the sax.. and the visual too. Shammi kapoor... another side of him.. The one who plays the sax in the scene.. I think he enjoyed it while playing the scene
SPB's art remains unmatched. Since you love strings, ARR loves creating incredible interludes and harmonies with string. Listen to both the interludes in this song 'Man Mohana' from Jodha Akbar. It captivates me every time even after these 12years.
Exactly.. I've commented the same @korbin, if you are seeing this comment, listen to the original for more feel th-cam.com/video/KTZaPNOPewo/w-d-xo.html
He recovered from covid..then while in the hospital..there were complications and he passed away. I was fortunate to have attended 2 of his shows in Malaysia. One of the MOST humble n nicest person you could ever meet.
Arr heart touching music composition are his early works... those compositions are still staying fresh... eg: Roja though it is his 1st film those songs are still living among us
spb sang this in around 1992 for the movie, he is singing post 60 years in live....imagine how the original song of his could be. or find it on the internet......
The first charanam is just goosebumps every single time! Uyir vazhvathaa? Illai povathaa? Amuthenpathaa visham enbathaa? Illai amutha vishamenbatha? UFFFFF
spb is best singer of all time...He can sing melody ..he can ramp...he can create music with his laugh while singing.....always living with us with his voice
We know he was a legend singer. He was also a good music director. I like songs from his music. 1. Ada da ithu than sugamo (super star's Thudikkum karangal) 2. Itho itho (Sigaram). Please react to that..songs.
Please react to live performances of SPB garu from telugu show Swarabhishekam. You will not just get to hear his mesmerizing voice but also you will see his child like nature...
Guys, I know someone who is very close to SPB’s family and I was told he had pushed his lung capacity through some very special yoga practices just so that he can sing like only he can, and it took a toll on his lungs. He was quite happy to make that sacrifice, apprently.
I love what u guys are doing. You have no idea you are introducing Indian work to Indians. I mean many ppl not from the south hadn’t even heard about the song ‘Adiye’ and now we know of this masterful gem. Truly great work in that sense. A R Rahman deserves much more international recognition than he already has. Please listen and react to 1 I’ll be waiting from Jhootha hi sahi 2.Tu jaane from jaane tu ya jaane na. 3.Aise kyun from Ranjhaana All the 3 are similar no.s in some sense by Rahman. And you both are gonna love it. Want to see Rick’s take on them. You can simply listen to all 3 but kindly react to it.
WoooW, thanks guys for reacting to this epic song. Now join the feel train. One of the best songs that can express Heartbreak like anything. More soul was from SPB sir's voice & the Lyrics.

The interlude sax part is another song from this movie.. Anjali Anjali also a classic . Whole album “movie DUET” by AR Rahman is literally sax and SPB
Yeah ! The song blissfully changes to "anjali anjali" Bcoz of prabhu seeing his lover. But here in this video, I can't feel that.
just thinking about to comment the same u already done. I love anjali anjali song ( I hears only telugu version) just cause I understand it clearly
The sax part was all Kadri Gopalnath the great Sax player.
