My dad bet on the Rockets to win this one. But in the last minute of the game, he already had his money ready to be given away. Then, McGrady happened. This is why Tracy will forever be honored and respected by my father.

Kids nowadays don't realize that back in the day Tracy was the best after Kobe, it was Kobe then him, he had and has that assassins mentality NOBODY else in history pulled off a performance as clutch as this and NOBODY will ever mimic it.

Being at this game is my most cherished memory of my entire life. I was 9 years old at the time and even though everyone around my family and I were leaving, we never doubted the team for a second. Time running out with that 10 point deficit, we were still saying "We got this". And once he hit that game winning shot, I screamed so loud I made sure my voice carried from our sky seats down to court side. T-Mac will always be my all time favorite Rocket for giving me that experience. #RedNation

Scoring 13 points in 35 seconds is an average of 0.371 points a second or 22.29 points a minute. Say T-Mac plays 40 of the 48 regulation minutes....for those 35 seconds, T-Mac was on pace to score 891 points in a game. Lol

You count time in a game by the game clock, not by the actual time the ball is in an individual player's hands, or there would be many players with "13 points in 35 seconds".

he's the reason why I became a rockets fan (I am still, and very glad that they start building a great team again). He's my favorite player of all time, even though he might not be the best :) its sad that he never won a championship, he would deserve it

Even though this was amazing, and probably the most amazing comeback in basketball, this happened during the regular season. I think the Spurs suffered an even worse comeback during Game 6 of the 2013 NBA Finals.

Nah I was 14. I never understood the hype behind Tracy McGrady aside from a few spurts of greatness. He never seemed very consistent.

McGrady was an amazing and talented player and has had many 30-40 and even a few 50 point games. And his early shoes are the best I've ever worn.
