Not in California the speed limit is 55 all day long for semi trucks through out the hole state they strictly enforce that

Most truckers drive 62mph in California. it's an unspoken rule.
Whats stupider, 55mph is a hazard when you have other vehicles driving 80mph. its been proven over and over in every other state. Theres zero logic behind 55mph. This law was emergency response to the 1973 oil crisis where they capped truckers at 55. They never took it off. Its was NEVER about safety.
I do agree with u cause I be at cruise at 60 but I know when the police see truckers doing over 55 they fuck with us bad that’s why I hate driving out there cause it is stupid to be at that speed and car’s driving between 70 and 80

Hey Alex, never just pay a ticket. Paying/pleading guilty to a ticket will raise your insurance rates for the remainder of your life. Be sure to get an attorney. An attorney and the fees associated might be more than the ticket but It will save you thousands in insurance costs if your premium doesnt go up.

It's a CMV it doesn't matter. Federal law is a tractor HAS to go the speed limit. There is not allowance for over. 65 for trucks means 65 for trucks. Most carriers are just as strict for speeding. Speeding in a semi is one of the biggest cause of them getting into accidents and killing someone.

Here in Texas, I heard if you choose to go to court to fight the ticket, the police officer usually never shows up, so then the judge just dismisses the ticket.

one of my dreams as a teenager was to have my own truck, deliver all allong the US with my future wife (then gf), just chilling, driving, listening to some dope music and stopping at gas stations to grab coffee and some good food, my gf just went away when i came 18 and i never emanage to even apply for a truck drivers license, ended up working in IT and software dev, but man watching your videos make me feel like watching what my dream life could have been, thank you very much for sharing Alex! vamonoooooos

I know the guy at 7:13 he owns his truck and runs a company called "Parke Bros". Him and his brother have twin trucks since they both are twins. I used to wash his truck back then at a truck wash. Super chill guy, super friendly. He told me that he goes to the bay area to deliver but I didn't expect him to deliver at the same place you do. His name is Ray and he has a brother named Roy. One of the best costumers I've ever had in my truck washing career!

My dad was a truck driver for many years and as a kid, I used to always ride with him. I think it’s so cool that you take your son with you. I always wanted to drive a truck. I’m currently living in Kern County and retired. I want to become a truck driver but only to mark it off my bucket list. Do you ever offer ride alongs?

When I was a bit younger, I would always help my dad load his truck and keep track of paperwork, and if you ever stop at a truck stop, it's a hit or miss with the hotdogs
Ticket clinic bro! Trust, used them when I got a ticket going 62 with a semi. They took care of everything no point, or court fee just the fees they charge. My record is clean.

As a suggestion look into prepass . Its about 15 a month if your a ooida member otherwise its around 21. The lower your safety score the lower your pullin rate to the scales is. Worth it!!

A 5-over ticket is nothing, your record will still be technically clean if you take a defensive driving course and get proof of attendance for your attorney (hired or presented by the courthouse) to present in court. Glad to see you didn’t let it mess up the vibe tho!

Unless it was an insane speed you’d think cops would let it go unless it’s the cops that deal with big rigs. My thought as a cop is it’s very unsafe to pull over a big rig because they take forever to slow down safely and forever to speed up and get back on the road.
