  • The E5000, its brilliant but it sure is temperamental. If you are into vocal or natural instrument focused music and want something to go straight into an iPhone dongle this may be perfect for you!

    Sorry about the audio quality in this guys, its a work in progress at the moment!
    I'd also like to add the carrying case is super convenient :)

    heyy thank you so much. I like the way you talk about sound quite a bit!
    i am absolutely in love with those e5000! there is something true about how they present music to me that touches my soul and shuts my brain. they always sound a little muddy at first after i tried other supposedly 'better' headphones but that changes after 10seconds (i wear the e5000 quite deep in the ear canal by the way). the timbre is just magical. so far away from tinny and disturbing.
    have you ever tested similar sounding closed back headphones or IEMs or heck even TWS or wireless headphones?
    I want that timbre, that warmth and that soul but sometimes I would like, just as you mentioned, just a little less, yet technically better bass, and a tad more details in the mix. In this case i don't care about soundstage size by the way, I really like how they keep the mix coherent and together.

    I've only just started using the E3000 and really like them. I know its a cliche to claim to hear things in music you haven't heard before using a certain headphone, with these I am hearing detail coming at me from directions I haven't experienced before in songs I'm very familiar with. I'm using a Fiio BTR3K with mine, my phone has LDAC as does the Fiio, it is a fun little set up. I can't have wires running from my ears to my phone as I will end up ripping them out of my ears at high speed to their doom. I have many fragments of headphones. I like your description of the E5000 and may buy it as I think they may be a little more robust than the attached wires on the E3000.

      Yeah the wires on the E3000 definately arent comparable. These are up to par with some great aftermarket cables :)

    Great review as always, what type of music would these earphones be best for?

    • @BelieveHiFi
      @BelieveHiFi  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I like them for female vocals, otherwise accoustic music and most instruments sound great.
      The timbre and texture of drums is really amazing at this price too.
      MAybe a little too bassy for pop music unless you like a bit of extra energy there

    I have these and they only really shine if you give them some power. The sound straight out of a phone will be lacking.

    • @BelieveHiFi
      @BelieveHiFi  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They definately need a little more juice but for the music I listen to and the levels I listen at, it does a fine job.
      MUCH better though out of the Hugo2 :)

    I own a pair and i am looking to drive them. What would you recommend for DAC that will maximase volume and quility and support Spotify/Android?

    • @supertrev4463
      @supertrev4463 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use the ifi nano black label, it really makes the E5000 shine. Sounds a ton better than from an iPhone dongle.

    • @BelieveHiFi
      @BelieveHiFi  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I tried it with a Fiio dac and it seemed to pair fairly well. Just make sure you aren't pairing with a warm sounding DAC. The extra power will definitely help

      Yeah even the more budget version of the e5000 can really benefit from a amp/dac since they are kinda quiet for most

    How do drums sound on this earphone, I play and I’m trying to find a good earphone for on the go, I have PMC at home for monitoring

    • @BelieveHiFi
      @BelieveHiFi  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Drums are one of the standout instruments, they just sound very life-like, if not the stand out instrument for this IEM.
      The extra bass energy lends its self to a bit more fun from the kick drums too :)

    how do they compare to the fiio buds in the same price range

    • @BelieveHiFi
      @BelieveHiFi  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm well I wouldnt say one is better than the other, BUT for me the timbre, detail and tonality out of an iPhone is better with the final audio.

    How does it compare to the AirPod pro?

    • @BelieveHiFi
      @BelieveHiFi  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well in terms of convenience the AirPod pro is far superior, however when it comes to audio quality this is far superior. Different strokes for different folks.

      If you are talking about sound quality, e5000 can be compared with the best earbuds out there. You cant even compare them to an Apple product for Audiophiles.
