Not unless they were desperate such as Stalingrad level where they had to take weapons from their dead comrades or germans

Actually, that happened quite a lot, with such a large amount of captured weapons available, and with weapons like the MP40 suitable for urban combat. It wasn't all that uncommon. And the same thing happened with German soldiers using captured Soviet weapons and vehicles.

I would highly recommend going to the left instead of the right hand side path.
That way it's easier as don't have to deal with the opponents army tanks and more importantly : the soldiers can be noticed easier and faster. They find it harder to hide especially in the long grass plus can get more ammo from the left way through the trenches

I've clocked call of duty world at War on veteran mode almost 10 times or so since it came out though, gotta admit : it was extremely hard especially the heart of the reich level.
Plus heaps of times on regular mode.
Perhaps I could be of assistance.

I think the developers wanted to focus on the final battles of the war, but where better to start a character’s story than in the beginning, Stalingrad. They do the same thing with the Pacific Front. Starts out in 1942 at Makin Island, then jumps to 1944 at Peleliu
